Is this mod working as intended? Does it work with spells?
Boge 11 May, 2021 @ 8:35pm
I'm getting overwrites between this mod and Better Sorting. Which one should overwrite which? Or do I have to play with some .DAT files?
Demarki 10 May, 2020 @ 5:39am
This mod doesn't work well on spells, half of them have a different color than the rest. Any idea why? I'm testing it without other mods, so no conflicts.

Me gusta , pero cambia el nombre de los objetos del castellano al ingles :´c

You might have accidentally turned off showing loot, if you haven't tried it yet click the magnifying glass icon beside your health orb. The game seems to randomly toggle it off occasionally.

I've been using this mod and suddenly at level 51 it has stopped working. Now I don't get any loot colors at all, and not even the name of the loot. I totally can't see loot and can only run over it by accident. Changing load order didn't help, I'm only using 4 very basic mods.

The distinction between uniques and some gems seems too similar in this mod.
Kardfogu 7 May, 2016 @ 12:21pm
Greetings!

I'd like to ask for your permission to tinker with this mod to create my own version which I'm going to include in a Tweakset.

Obviously, I'm planning to give the proper credits!

I've been playing around with loot color a little myself and was wondering how I can replicate what you did with your mod. I know how to edit GLOBALS.DAT but what other files do I need to look at?
Atreyis Lortani 16 Mar, 2015 @ 4:24pm
Greetings. Good mod, makes deciding if I want to bother clicking 40,000 times to pick something up mid-combat worth the risk or not. Currently working on a compilation which includes this. If you do not wish for me to use Better Loot Colors (or Fisherman's Friend, also included) then let me know and I'll keep my compilation private.

works fine! :D ty
Vellvoid 20 Jun, 2014 @ 6:24am
Good !!
I need this mod !
Bitman 20 Sep, 2013 @ 8:09am
Great modification but need the support of other languages.
If you use another language localization of the game, then the elements that this modification changes the display in English only. As a result of playing in two languages at the same time.

I didn't change the colors for Legendaries. They're still dark red by default.
CovertPUTB 25 Jun, 2013 @ 1:59pm
What color is the legendary items because i normally pass over pots?
Lone Wolf McQuade  [author] 16 Jun, 2013 @ 6:54am
I think if you download the Torchlight 2 Demo on Steam, then you can download mods to your computer when you Subscribe.

But I'm not sure in what exact folder it would download in. You can check the Runic Forums, I believe it's discussed there. And when you find it, you'd have to put the mod file in your main mod folder.
Bradhead 14 Jun, 2013 @ 6:45pm
probably but where would i find it and yes i got the non-steam version
Lone Wolf McQuade  [author] 14 Jun, 2013 @ 3:10pm
Do you have the non-Steam version of TL2? If so, when you Subscribe does it download the mod somewhere on your computer?

Right now this mod is only on the Workshop.
Bradhead 14 Jun, 2013 @ 2:26pm
Can u get this mod somewhere other than steam?
axios2006 6 Jun, 2013 @ 11:03am
Hi, is it possible to have a version without increased stack size?
Thanks.
Lone Wolf McQuade  [author] 26 May, 2013 @ 4:37pm
Absolutely. You can do whatever you'd like with this mod.
timothy3_16 26 May, 2013 @ 4:32pm
this mod is fantasticly fun ... I would hope it is ok to have added it to a personal mod to save on the limitations ... I absolutely do not upload my mod
Lone Wolf McQuade  [author] 24 May, 2013 @ 1:23pm
I have no problem with that. I'm actually about to update this mod tonight, just a heads up.
mamba 24 May, 2013 @ 1:13pm
Hi, I would like to integrate your mod into the mod-merge mod I am currently working on and building for personal use (and intend to later publish). Please let me know if you are ok with this. Thanks
timothy3_16 4 May, 2013 @ 12:43pm
thanks :) enjoy being abel to have heads up on the drops as I loot
Fasut 4 May, 2013 @ 12:56am
@Lone Wolf: I'm creating my own set of mods right now - mostly for friends though. More or less a tl2 rebalance with convenience changes and more variety in items and such.

Thanks for the great amount of work and time this surely took! ^_^
Lone Wolf McQuade  [author] 3 May, 2013 @ 8:02pm
@Fasut, yeah it's just the way mods work unfortunately. If there's another way to edit the color of loot other than the individual data files, I don't know of it. Also, this mod doesn't alter the colors for unique socketables like skulls and eyes. By using these mods then turning them off, you can lose your items, and I didn't want it to be possible to lose high-end socketables because of this mod.

Also I'm curious, what other mods do you use that conflict with this one?
Fasut 3 May, 2013 @ 8:52am
holy crap, you really had to add the color to EVERY single item of the type scroll, potion, socketable and spells in the game!
this makes it incomatible to every other mod changing something at the unit itself. is there no other option?
[A.S.I.] ~Blissard~ 25 Apr, 2013 @ 10:58am
I try this mod but is not compatible with traduction, loot back in english language :(
Tired of your crap 22 Apr, 2013 @ 1:45pm
@matchet_23 - I disagree with A. There's no reason to avoid color-coding other types of loot. Considering the different types of loot storage (gear, consumable, spell) it makes perfect sense to have different colors for different kidns of loot, even if they're not inherently powerful. It may be a precedent in previous dungeon-crawling games and mmo's, but there's always room for improvement. I'm not red/green color-blind, so I can't speak towards it personally, but if AishaLove truly is and this helps a lot or at all, then I'd say these are "Better Loot Colors". Besides, arbitrary rules like that don't benefit creative design and all this does is add more options.

In fact, making different color "flavors" as different options would be cool, especially when one considers designing specifically for color blindness.
Ibrahim🌹Terror Bᶦˡˡʸ ♥ 22 Apr, 2013 @ 9:12am
Nice mod
AishaLove 21 Apr, 2013 @ 4:15pm
WOW as a person with red/green colorblindness this is truly amazing to have.

Thank you!!
Matchet 20 Apr, 2013 @ 7:18pm
Nice idea. Justo two advices to improve it:
A. I think potions must have a same color, maybe white, grey or dark red. Highligted colours should be reserved for powerful finds
B. Use more opacity on text tabs like https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=136220150 , so words could be much more readable regardless terrain the item were placed in
axios2006 20 Apr, 2013 @ 3:13pm
Great mod! Thank you! :)
Lone Wolf McQuade  [author] 18 Apr, 2013 @ 6:59pm
Thanks for the spell color mod, theres like 200 damn files to edit, i was too lazy lol :D
rc3ard 18 Apr, 2013 @ 5:39pm
Thanks for the credit in the description.

Lepo 18 Apr, 2013 @ 5:44am
Nevermind, it was a corrupted save. Nicely done, i will do something similar with my mods ;).
Lepo 18 Apr, 2013 @ 5:38am
It crash on game loading. Before main menù.
Wollmilchkuh 16 Apr, 2013 @ 3:59pm
Ah, damn it you beat me. :) Was working on this myself but also encountered that little problem with losing all pots/gems etc. (I miss my gems q.q) if the mod is deactivated.

It's sad that something like this can't be done different.
Aherin 16 Apr, 2013 @ 3:39pm
Well the good news is that if you put the new coloured items in your shared stash and then turn off the mod they actually stay there, so that's something you can do, especially if you have a big bag mod as well :) I'll definitely use this now :D
Lone Wolf McQuade  [author] 16 Apr, 2013 @ 9:18am
Yeah it's an unfortunate side effect when you have a mod that edits item files, then turn that mod off. But at least this game has no shortage of loot :D
zParticle 16 Apr, 2013 @ 5:19am
I think the items' unique properties make them "belong" to the mod, so when the mod goes, they do too. This happened with Mountains of Consumables. Boy, I sound like an ad now.
Aherin 16 Apr, 2013 @ 2:43am
oops scratch that comment about skulls and uniques.. heh this mod doesnt affect them derp :P So I guess its not as big a deal :)
