Probably not, it's been ages since last time i played Kenshi, and this mod came from a time before Hivers had access to shirts and there weren't many mods for it, nowadays, there's plenty of options.
No, I made them based on a quick search on google for shells or carapaces (i forgot exactly which), grabbed them and made some recoloring and resizing. That's about it.
There's no model, which is why i didn't include an image. Also, keep in mind that this mod came at a time when there was literally nothing for hivers. (even before they got shirts in vanilla) so you might find better options in more popular releases nowadays.
The mod doesn't make it so that Drones can wear just any helmet, they can only wear the one helmet in this mod.
Now, if the hiver you're using comes from another mod, then it won't be able to wear it because this mod edits almost all vanilla entity hivers so that they are able to wear their stuff. (At the time it was the only measure that could've been done)
Thanks! Keep in mind this was made on a time where there were no hiver related shirts available. (not even the vanilla ones)
Higher quality are on UC hiver samurais of high rank, or drones that guard either queen and the highest quality are on the queens themselves... and also Eyegore.
And you would be correct. The actual reason for this is that i can't really model anything, but i still wanted something related to protection.
Np, have fun! Let me know if you find anything strange.
I use hivers extended as well and so far i haven't seen any noticeable conflicts.
But if you do manage to stop something, do let me know.
have fun! if you have issues or suggestions be sure to send them over here ;)
I'm also just sayin'
Aside from the fact that i had to manually edit a lot of npcs it doesn't really add a lot of stuff and the stuff added is pretty simple to follow and get the gist of what to do. Keep in mind that this was before the hivers had official shirts on them.
You're welcome
@Shapiro's Wrath
If you think this is complicated then i don't want you here, you are more than welcome to leave.
HEEEEEEEEEEEEEY!!! have fun with it!! thanks for the kind words!
Yup, it exists, you can find it on hivers that guard either queen or very rarely on some high ranking UC officers that happen to spawn as hivers.
If your stealth is high you'll have an easier time stealing from a queen guard or something.
Thank YOU man! Glad you like it and don't forget to report any issues or questions you might have. A lot of the things that the mod page doesn't explicitly say are already answered in the comments anyway.
@Zesty
Yup, they can be bought from hver caravans, and finding a high grade from caravans is quite rare.
Hmm I geuss it can be bought as a rare chance from them.
Good to know!
Both of the hive queens as well as Eyegore have the masterwork. Easiest one imo is the Western Hive queen since you can stealthily steal it from her.
Only soldier type hivers can wear the shell. (the ones with the weird head)

Thanks for the tip, i'll add it to them right away.
@Tarsis
Glad you like it! Have fun!
@Zesty
There are three NPCs in the entire game that will spawn with a [MASTERWORK] covering (both shirt and helm)
