@Caz: I fixed the issue. The problem was actually in the Core Module but it's fixed now.
Enjoy the mods!
Albion  [author] 23 Jul, 2021 @ 10:35am
I think I forgot to change a file in this addon. I'll fix it in a few hours.
Caz 23 Jul, 2021 @ 9:21am
Getting an error when this is enabled. Tried unsub/resub and it still gave the error.

Could not resolve cross-reference to Verse.ResearchProjectDef named BrainImplantPrintingSW (wanter=prerequisites)

I dunno bro. Changing a person's backstory could be as simple as implanting false memories... but that goes well beyond simple mind altering. It sounds more along the lines of advanced mind altering because it's a really delicate procedure to completely change how a person thought they lived and also have their muscle memory and stuff adapt to that new false childhood

i did
LionelCG 23 May, 2020 @ 3:20pm
Did you watch the trailer Ashhhh2 ? I recommend watching the trailer before you give up on this mod ;)
ashhhh2 23 May, 2020 @ 7:43am
alright i guess it's not for me then it's a good mod though it's just not what i'm looking for
Albion  [author] 23 May, 2020 @ 7:42am
It assigns random new traits.
ashhhh2 23 May, 2020 @ 7:16am
so how does it work does it change the traits at random or do you have to choose them?
LionelCG 2 May, 2020 @ 12:43pm
Hillarious trailer :D
Albion  [author] 24 Apr, 2020 @ 8:04am
This mod is compatible with Sparkling Worlds since it is part of it.
However if you use the Full mod, you should not use this one since the Full mod includes everything that is in this mod (and any other addon for that matter).
Captain Einsicht 24 Apr, 2020 @ 2:22am
i s not compatible with sparkling world?!
Asteyr 1 Mar, 2020 @ 7:53am
Love the mod! One Request tho: Could you provide some sort of settings or perhaps an XML that functions as a trait exclusion list, would be useful for mods that add traits like Rimworld of Magic for example.

Many thanks :)
Albion  [author] 17 Jan, 2020 @ 11:35pm
I actually decided against changing backstories for lore reasons.
The backstory of a pawn shouldn't be changed. It is their past after all and it is what makes them unique.
I can understand you from a gameplay perspective but I will leave it at random new traits.
Thundercraft 17 Jan, 2020 @ 7:28pm
I don't want to sound ungrateful... However, it seems unfortunate that the ability to change a pawn's backstory was lost. :steamsad: Would it be difficult to add that back? A pawn's backstory can have a lot of impact, sometimes severely limiting their usefulness, such as being incapable of "Dumb Labor", "Violence" or "Social" interactions.

There is also the [PS] Reconditioning Pod mod to choose from, as it can also be used to add, remove or change traits. But, it also lacks the ability to change backstory.
Albion  [author] 1 Jan, 2020 @ 2:30am
No it only changes traits.
Dust 1 Jan, 2020 @ 2:02am
Does this version still allow modifying backstories?
^5Cirno-09 15 Nov, 2019 @ 9:31pm
a mod setting to remove traits that can be possible given to a pawn. I'm playing with A Rimworld of Magic and one of my pawns turned into a lich after getting that trait from entering the MAD
Mistletoe The Bard 29 Oct, 2019 @ 12:47am
I was gonna use recondition pod, then I saw the video.... gonna use this for sure. Kind of wish that we can at least pick to random 1 trait, but oh well randomness is the fun of rimworld... at leasst randomness connect to the pawns are always fun. xD

Awesome mod , thanks alot for making it.
Guy below me nice nickname suits u perfectly
Living Joker 14 Apr, 2019 @ 2:59pm
Darn, didn't read this was random in the description. I'll keep looking.
Remor 13 Apr, 2019 @ 8:36pm
oh sounds good, ty!
Albion  [author] 13 Apr, 2019 @ 12:51pm
Yes. It assigns random new traits. You could use it multiple times but don't use it too often in short succession or bad stuff will happen.
Remor 13 Apr, 2019 @ 5:22am
So it change the traits? it's random?
Nylem 23 Dec, 2018 @ 5:18pm
I was going to ask something but I see MURDERWINGS beat me to it. Shame you cant use it on prisoners but an awsome mod/idea anyway. I'll give it a whirl. Thanks
Albion  [author] 23 Dec, 2018 @ 2:26am
No it only works for normal colonists. They have to enter voluntarily.
76561198112862746 22 Dec, 2018 @ 10:57pm
Is there any way for a prisoners to use the pod? I tried to down them but apparently it did not work.
Maverik 24 Oct, 2018 @ 10:16am
A suggestion: 600k energy its too low for this machine, its only active by 3 or 4 ingame hours and then you can turn off the machine, and its extremely useful, sould be much much more energy, like 10x in my opinion.
Albion  [author] 17 Oct, 2018 @ 10:56am

--Let me preface this for anyone reading, I do run a lot of mods, so it COULD be a mod conflict.---I get psychotic more than any other as an example, a real example. Like pretty much every time. I still use it, but only on disposable pawns because they will quite literally always get bad traits. It would be one thing if it was ocasionally, but it's always. I run to many mods that I really like to narrow down what might be causing it, and I use many of the features from your full version so it's acceptable, and again, fun to play with occasionally.
Albion  [author] 24 Jun, 2018 @ 12:19am
To be honest I guess it's a subjective feeling. The way the code works is that it picks randomly from the full list of traits and doesn't care if a picked trait is good or bad.
However I think there might be more neutral/bad traits in the full list.
If you use any mods that add traits those can be picked too. This also includes very powerfull traits like magic or werewolf trait from the Rim of magic and Werewolves mods.
crgzero 24 Jun, 2018 @ 12:14am
It not 100% sure, maybe mod conflict I dunno, but I tend to get bad traits more often than good ones, and a few of the really bad ones are pretty consistent. Still fun to play with though.
Albion  [author] 23 Jun, 2018 @ 11:37pm
It's totally random what traits you get. Could be good, could be bad, could be both.
Using the device multiple times in quick succession with the same pawn may have severe side effects.
Jagroy 23 Jun, 2018 @ 9:23pm
sooo, is this just for making colonists into murder loons that are allergic to dogs? lol. that vid was amazing. but can you choose what traits you lose, and do you gain new traits, or is it totally random?
crgzero 2 Jun, 2018 @ 5:14pm
The video alone sold me on this mod lol, that's good stuff. Thanks for that.
FlyingGekko 2 Jun, 2018 @ 1:15am
Upvoting this becuase that is a DAMN good video!!
Albion  [author] 29 May, 2018 @ 2:18pm
It's currently not possible to force prisoners into the MAD but I'm working on a fix to change that ;)
catboy irony 29 May, 2018 @ 12:50pm
@Deckster1218 are you going to create a 1940's mental hospital?
Swarthy 29 May, 2018 @ 10:33am
Is there any mods were u can experiment on prisoners? (don't judge)
BrenTenkage 29 May, 2018 @ 2:05am
Done n Done, I love the Glitterworld stuff for end game OPness, also the crash ships, i had fun during my LP of that as I was roleplaying needing to make a ship to get off world, and since I was going big needed parts, so those ship crashes were great...though very risky, sooo many times I cried...so many times....
Albion  [author] 29 May, 2018 @ 1:39am
Well I'm already considering various genetically engineered animals but stayed away from them so far. Right now I focus on various new events and other stuff like this feature. They will come however, I can promise you that.

In the meantime: enjoy this mod and don't forget to fav and upvote ;)
BrenTenkage 28 May, 2018 @ 7:31pm
Loving the Glitter World Mods Keep up the good work, maybe make Glitter World Modded Animals (kinda like the Raider Emus) maybe there are cyborged up war animals for the faction you can either kill or purchase if you make friends with em
