@avanya Quays use the topographical gradient to determine which side faces out. If you grade your land on a downward slope your fence will face downhill. If you are placing your quay on flat land who knows. It may find the nearest gradient from the placement point to make a determination.

@MajorEnglush: Quays are only able to tell which side is supposed to be which when placed along the water. When we place them in land or move them around with Move It, the game can't tell anymore. So it swaps around randomly. We're doing something that isn't intended and that comes with some consequences. I'm afraid there's nothing I can do about it.

Ideally we would have an upgrade tool for quays, which would allow us to reverse direction like with roads, but that would still just be a way to fix it at the end. Other ways to fix it is delete the part that's the wrong way around and redraw it in the direction, that will have it face the correct way.

Any explanation as to why the fences flips sides for no damn reason and tips on how to solve that? Even when using Move It they just decide to go to the other side. These are an amazing asset, but useless in some situations because there is no rhyme or reason I can discern as to why this keeps happening. But it's annoying af.

Thank you, your wall and fence networks are a brilliant addition to the game.
