jebbook: Glad you had a good run, thanks.
jebbook 15 Jun, 2018 @ 6:25pm
lots of fun! time for a beer! Nice paint job and a great engine. I have talked to actual engineers - they liked this engine. Good job. Lots of AI traffic. Was only 1 min off.

Elphaba: You are right of course, when night rolls in, it does tend to get rather dark. Perhaps if I learned how to read........?
High Iron Simulations  [author] 31 Dec, 2014 @ 7:52am
Scouser888: This scenario is based on the actual schedule of Train 7 at the time and because timekeeping in the game as compared to that for the arrival at Browning was very difficult to achieve, it is not timetabled. The issue of the "projected ETA" not being particularly accurate en route is just one of those foibles of TS that exists. And having traveled through Montana on the Builder at night, I can assure you that it is very dark indeed. :)
Scouser888 31 Dec, 2014 @ 7:32am
Is this the complaints department? (Just kidding, maybe). OK, I missed the winter eve bit so my bad, but I absoluely hate driving at night, as I can't see any scenery, buildings etc. I couldn't even see my train, well maybe bits of it at the stations, On leaving Teton Main, my ETA was shown as 17.55 as opposed to a stipulated arrival time of 17.51. I almost gave up at that point, but hung in there, and actually arrived a little early. There was no arrival time for Browning, and while the final comment told me what time I was supposed to arrive, I ended up late, as I had difficulty unloading/loading passengers. Although the HUD showed 0.00 miles to go, the doors would not open. Finally after having pulled the two locos and 1/2 the first car past the station, the doors opened. Minor quibbles I know. Actually, despite my negative attitude, I did enjoy it a little bit, but not as much as Firefighter Bill!

TSM "MO": Thanks much as always!

Very nice night scenario, - thanks !!
best regards

FirefighterBill: Glad you enjoyed the run and thanks for the comments
FirefighterBill 25 Apr, 2014 @ 8:33pm
WOW!! That was fun. I vote for more night runs. Added a whole new dimension to the scenario. The clouds were breath taking at night. One small thing, leaving Shelbey at 17:20, seemed a little dark for just five thirty in the evening. Just glad it wasn't the whole route, or I would have been up all night running it.

Arrived at Browning 1825. Scenario would not end. Waited 5 minutes and closed out manually. Perhaps you could update the sceanio using 3 P42's. Average consist is Heritage Baggage, Sleeper, Sleeper, Sleeper, Diner, Coach, Coach, Lounge, Coach, Coach, Sleeper. Otherwisw interesting scenario.
High Iron Simulations  [author] 7 Feb, 2014 @ 3:31pm
vetkhy: Station stop timing is based on actual schedule of the Builder at that time.
vetkhy 7 Feb, 2014 @ 8:49am
Nice run! Maybe it will be more challenging if you set up arrival time to Browning. I was too late (25 min instead of 23 - relaxed at the end :)) but as for me 23 min is OK. I reached 79 mph between Cut Bunk and Blackfoot. Also it was not so easy to keep track speed like 50-55 mph.

Plasmaboy: My pleasure, glad you enjoyed it :)
Plasmaboy 21 Nov, 2013 @ 6:28pm
Wow, does this bring back memories! My wife and I took the Coast Starlight and the Empire Builder from San Fran to Wisconsin and back in the mid 90's. It was a lot of fun to be up front this time! Thanks!!
derrick706 29 Oct, 2013 @ 1:17am
I enjoyed this one. But, i didn't make the first stop ontime. I guess i didn't accelerate fast enough from the start. I missed making the Cut Bank station timetable literally by seconds. So, I got an "x" for that stop and then I was way late for the second one as well. I had my trhottle opened all the way for most of it. But never even got close to 79mph. But, nonetheless, it was an excellent run with plenty of wintry scenery to keep me interested and gteat AI traffic. I will run part 2 soon.

colin.m.davenport: As always, a real pleasure to hear from you and glad you enjoyed the run.

Hi Elphaba, Yes! Yet another great run as usual, with plenty of oncoming traffic, and a very cold and wintry environment, but I was nice and warm in my driving cab. The tracks looked pretty clear too, so I am guessing the plough train ran earlier on to clear the way? yeah! Thanks again for sharing with us all, my freind & all the best to you and family, (as usual) COLIN.D. Aberdeen (city) Scotland U.K.
noeleong 29 Aug, 2013 @ 2:55pm
I liked the scenario, but what I found. It is hard to keep the time table set, because of lack of
speed. It appears that 1% up grade really hurt attempting to get up to speed. Maybe a 3rd engine could be added to help.
pschlik 19 Aug, 2013 @ 3:01pm
That was a nice scenario, I wasn't expecting the Browing timetable to be 6:23, and I got there at 6:26! I wish I would have known before I was headed there!
TeplowoznyManiak 21 Jun, 2013 @ 12:34pm
Almost impossible to follow schedule. Either distance between stations is not accurate, or engine physics doesn't allow to keep up with speed. Disregard that, I enjoyed the run and especially the weather.
TUFFMU Nick 25 May, 2013 @ 9:04pm
I love it! make more like train 9
keith.stroud.52 17 May, 2013 @ 12:58pm
Another nice run Elphaba, although I never quite made it up to 79 MPH lol.
Regards, Keith.

jimsinclair56: Thanks much, appreciate the kind comment. I'll see what I can do, but in the meantime there are quite a number of nice Amtrak Empire Builder scenario available here from other creators as well.
jimsinclair56 27 Apr, 2013 @ 7:47am
Hi Elphaba... I'm still hoping that you'll do Part 2 so I can take this train on west to Essex and maybe even Whitefish. Thanks for your consideration and please keep up the great work on your scenarios; I haven't run one of your creations that I didn't like!

jimsinclair56 18 Apr, 2013 @ 10:29pm
Another NICE scenario, Elphaba! I liked the weather (partly cloudy with snow showers) and the moon in the eastern sky made for some nice screenshots! There was plenty of AI traffic and enough variances in the speed limit to keep the engineer occupied. I trust you're working on Part 2? It sure would be cool to drive on west towards Essex! Thanks for all your great scenarios and please keep up the good work!
pschlik 18 Apr, 2013 @ 2:16pm
I would also like to see a P42DC trip!
Alex229Qc 18 Apr, 2013 @ 8:41am
Look nice, maybe you should make a version with the P42Dc genesis?
