@Dare: I have the same issue as DaViper, the bond icon is hidden behind other stuffs on top left, see screenshot - https://imgur.com/R73kTjN

In addition, when I first load into from a save, the bond icon wont show up at all, I have to click the little bond icon on the bottom right, then your bond icon shows up but hidden as seen in the screenshot. I play WOTC
DaViper 28 Aug, 2024 @ 10:12pm
The bond flags keep going underneath other stuff on the header. I'm tossing a pic up in the troubleshooting section of Xcommods discord.

I've run into the phantom negative trait today myself. Maybe I can get to the root. Too bad only that I'm on a ironman playthrough.
Soulfire72 18 Jun, 2023 @ 12:00am
Running into something that "may" be a bug but I'm not sure. When I have enough bonds a big Red bond icon becomes visible and a new line of bonds starts in the usual spot. Is this intended?
Dare  [author] 22 Jan, 2023 @ 9:14am
I use color coded bonds myself, never heard or seen the behaviour you mentioned.
Tom Cormie 22 Jan, 2023 @ 5:12am
I deactivated it, I wrote it just to see if others have faced this situation.
Do the two mods work together in WOTC?
Dare  [author] 22 Jan, 2023 @ 2:00am
this mod is not for LWotC, if it doesn't work for you deactivate it
Tom Cormie 21 Jan, 2023 @ 11:22pm
For me, it did so much that it messed up the operation of the Color Coded Bonds mod. Since then, every time I load the game, the colors of the Bonds change. (LWOTC run)
mctrevor 20 Feb, 2022 @ 11:47pm
Most certainly.
Rossocuore 20 Feb, 2022 @ 8:17am
Hi people. Can this mod be added mid-campaign? Thanks.
mctrevor 22 Jan, 2022 @ 9:21am
For some reason deactivating and reactivating the mod in AML fixed it.
mctrevor 9 Jan, 2022 @ 8:00am
Yes, probably. It worked in the earlier phases of the beta so it seems likely that LWOTC changed it later on. There is no conflict in AML for what it's worth.
Dare  [author] 8 Jan, 2022 @ 7:37am
They probably changed the class, this mod was written for WotC not LWotC and it not working is not surprising.
mctrevor 7 Jan, 2022 @ 1:03am
Sadly does not work anymore on my Steam LWotC install. Bond messages are like in vanilla.
Dare  [author] 31 Dec, 2020 @ 9:15am
should, I use it myself.
gel 23 Jul, 2019 @ 10:40pm
I've actually gotten the "phantom negative trait" icons SGMRock mentioned for a while, and I am subscribing to this mod for the first time today, so, for anyone looking for added peace of mind, it does NOT look like an issue with this mod.
Dare  [author] 23 Jan, 2019 @ 1:07pm
I use this mod myself and I have never seen this behaviour
SGMRock 23 Jan, 2019 @ 12:49pm
This mod seems to work great and keeps the bond crap out of the middle of my Avenger screen. You are right the mod you never knew you wanted but now that I used it I wouldn't want to play without it. :)

I have only ran into one very minor bug, sometimes when I assign a team to upgrade their bond it shows a red icon that they have a negative trait at the top until I click it. But they never really have that negative trait. Not sure if this is coming from your mod or not as I have so many. It doesn't happen every time though I think it may only happened when upgrading a bond and one of the soldiers had a previous bad trait that I had removed earlier in current game.
Dare  [author] 5 Nov, 2018 @ 2:19pm
superb
Dragon32 5 Nov, 2018 @ 1:18pm
That seems to have got it, Dare. No instances of that redscreen message in my launch.log now. Thanks!
Dragon32 5 Nov, 2018 @ 10:19am
Thanks Dare, I'll try it out.
Dare  [author] 5 Nov, 2018 @ 1:18am
@Dragon32
Try now and let me if the new version works without the spamming.
Dare  [author] 4 Nov, 2018 @ 12:18pm
damn, that link would have saved me the redownloading :(
Dragon32 4 Nov, 2018 @ 11:43am
Dare  [author] 4 Nov, 2018 @ 11:40am
I found the culprit. A debug line I forgot to remove. But after TLE dev-studio won't let me compile my mods anymore - won't even give me an error why. I'm redownloading it and will fix it once I get it tu run again.
Dragon32 4 Nov, 2018 @ 6:28am
Hey Dare. I ran a couple of missions and then checked my launch.log for errors. It looks like this mod is adding a redscreen "Warning: Am I getting fired???" whenever OnReceiveFocus triggers, and that's creating a lot of log spam. Is there any chance of disabling that?

Launch.log is already full of stuff as it is...
Metal Izanagi 17 Sep, 2018 @ 10:45am
Thank you so much! Having those icons follow the dudes around the Avenger was really getting to me.
Dare  [author] 5 Aug, 2018 @ 10:42am
From what I've seen they are, but to be honest that's more like a nice to have than anything else (assuming they are not working).
Zyxpsilon 5 Aug, 2018 @ 10:38am
Thanks..
Next little possible flaw; Robojumper's "ColorCodedBonds" alternate IconSets might not be taken into account from what i could see showing up there. Verifiable status on your end?
Dare  [author] 5 Aug, 2018 @ 9:57am
should be fixed now
Zyxpsilon 4 Aug, 2018 @ 4:12pm
Good luck with the required Fix, then! :)
Dare  [author] 4 Aug, 2018 @ 2:36pm
ah ok I could reproduce it, looks like something (I know what) is still interferring
Zyxpsilon 4 Aug, 2018 @ 10:27am
Basicly, every active facilities (Armory, ProvingGrounds, GTS, etc).. but only after we've used their Menus if any & right before we return to the Avenger by pressing ESC.
It might also be like that because i play with an on-going save?
Dare  [author] 4 Aug, 2018 @ 1:52am
could you specify in which screens this is still happening?
Zyxpsilon 3 Aug, 2018 @ 7:09pm
Good idea!
Until or if ever, you decide to further modify (or provide us with other custom config settings) the "drop zone" for that stack of consecutive Icons... i'd still like to suggest they'd be placed to the far right edge underneath the values banner.
Ideally.. these should also be active while into the Avenger main screen -- only. Most often.. they re-appear in various other UI states. Overlaying the Middle section where for example, Engineers counter is shown, etc.
Dare  [author] 31 Jul, 2018 @ 3:41am
Nice over 1k on this mod. Figured that I am not the only one annoyed by those huge floating icons.
Dai 4 Jun, 2018 @ 6:04am
Thank you very much for this mod!
Dare  [author] 2 Jun, 2018 @ 9:39am
new update:
- made negative trait icons smaller and moved them up abit
Dare  [author] 31 May, 2018 @ 1:32pm
ok new update is up. I was able to make them even smaller. Also moved them down 6 pixels and they should now allign better with the resource tab. Also provided a config file to disable any floating icon (including negative traits).
Dragon32 31 May, 2018 @ 12:22pm
@Dare:
Wow. I never realised.
Dare  [author] 31 May, 2018 @ 12:15pm
cuz those are not icons codewise, but animated panels and they behave really strange. Making them smaller by factor 2 actually reduced them to like 10*10 pixels. To actually half the size i had to make them twice as big (codewise).
Dragon32 31 May, 2018 @ 11:32am
@Dare:
Why not a config setting for size, where 1.0 is default and 0.0 is disabled?

(Selfishly, I'd just like 'em slightly smaller)
Dare  [author] 31 May, 2018 @ 5:58am
I plan to add a config setting which disables them if the user wants to.
Lago 31 May, 2018 @ 5:12am
Brilliant mod. Those irritating bond icons wind me up to no end, especially when you hit level 2 and don't have a training center up. Is it possible to simply remove them entirely?
dotvhs 30 May, 2018 @ 12:32pm
Thanks for your answer! Yeah, no rush, for now I will just edit your version to make them even smaller just for myself. Thank you again for your work.
Dare  [author] 30 May, 2018 @ 11:33am
Ok thanks to a really enjoying session with Mr.Nice we figured out what the problem was and the bond icons should no longer be visible while in a facility.
Dare  [author] 30 May, 2018 @ 8:09am
@ .vhs

I already halfed the size with this mod or are they still too big for your taste? I could of course add a config option to completly hide those floating icons. Maybe in one of the future iterations. But now I have to do some bugfixing.
ShunBrokuSatsu 30 May, 2018 @ 7:44am
The description is very true, this is a mod that I did not know I needed. Thanks a lot for this :)
Kazraan 29 May, 2018 @ 7:26pm
Omg. So very true. A mod I didn't know I needed
Kate Has Great Jeans 29 May, 2018 @ 6:44pm
Was just thinking about something like this yesterday. Thanks!
