Nice puzzle. Loved the use of cube respawn + ghost cubes! . I think I cheated a bit at the last by bunnyhopping to the stairs but indeed a very satisfying puzzle.
icew0lf 28 Feb, 2024 @ 6:01pm
my solution involved the ball dropping from a cube when I kill it with a button lol, and my solution involved multiple quicksaves, so this might have been because I potentially made a quicksave after making a suboptimal move
JiggleYourJerkyMrTurkey 9 Jul, 2022 @ 7:20pm
Excellent puzzle! Although I'll admit that I'm a bit slow for not figuring out earlier that the regular cube automatically respawns. Once I got that figured out I finished the puzzle with relative ease.

I forgot to say this, (which is why I deleted my first comment and rewrote it) but I'm pretty sure it's possible to trap yourself in the area behind the grate if you funnel in there.

@Shaggielll Thanks for playing! This map is a bit old, I would not be surprised if there turns out to be anotjer solution. I'm glad you liked it regardless!
ShaggieIII 25 Nov, 2020 @ 8:55pm
My solution didn't look much like bullfrog's or Joric's. A very well put together puzzle and the newer ending with just the cubes is better I think.
bullfrog 14 Sep, 2020 @ 2:02am
You would have got ‘there’ anyway and it’s all down to the excellent puzzles you make, but if I (and probably @jgaultney) helped you get ‘there’ faster, then I’m pleased.
Mikeastro  [author] 14 Sep, 2020 @ 12:37am
@bullfrog Thanks for playing again! I remember when you left your first comment on this map - it meant a lot. You would "spread the word" and shortly after, a lot more people from the community found my workshop. I will forever remain grateful for this :] Anyway, I hope you will enjoy them as much the second time!
bullfrog 14 Sep, 2020 @ 12:23am
I’m going through my list of favourite puzzles, from oldest to latest. I think this is the first map of yours that I played - it’s still an excellent puzzle and it definitely deserves to remain in my list. I’m sure there are quite a few of yours in my list, so you’ll be hearing more from me over the coming, however long it takes, but I try to be less verbose next time ;)

@Spider_Dawg Thank you once more :] I'm really happy that you continue to enjoy my puzzles
Spider_Dawg 21 Nov, 2019 @ 8:41pm
That was intense, nice feeling of accomplishment solving this. My solution was only slightly different here and there to the posted videos, but the important parts were all the same. Very clever, thumbs up.
Mikeastro  [author] 23 Sep, 2019 @ 1:22am
@quaternary Thanks :] I remember the original unintended solution you used - it was quite sneaky. Fortunately you enjoyed the "right" way too ^_^
quat 22 Sep, 2019 @ 11:42pm
Finally went back and solved this the right way. Nice one
Mikeastro  [author] 29 Jul, 2019 @ 3:06am
@Teo Thank you :D Achieving the same thing with different methods is always a nice thing to have :P Really happy to hear that you liked it
Teo 28 Jul, 2019 @ 4:18pm
Really good puzzle, simple layout and connections but getting between each puzzle state required a lot of moves. I love how you forced the player to get up to the exit using two very different methods using the exact same layout. At the final move I was so scared that the cube wouldn't autorespawn , but it all worked out nicely. Thumbs up and favorite for sure
Mikeastro  [author] 24 Jul, 2019 @ 6:00am
@BehindPortal Thank you very much :D Excellent work solving it. Very nice to hear from you again!
BehindPortal 24 Jul, 2019 @ 5:38am
pretty clever puzzle. on some moves i thought i played broken but after watching joric play i was right on those. :p2blue:favorite:p2cube::p2orange:
Mikeastro  [author] 17 Jul, 2019 @ 5:29pm
@kimist108 Thank you! Excellent work once more. Indeed observing how the cubes respawn is quite important here
kimist108 17 Jul, 2019 @ 5:03pm
Thumbs up! That took a lot of trial and error. Also, observation of how each cube respawns.
Mikeastro  [author] 5 Dec, 2018 @ 11:55am
@quatrus Absolutely no need to apologise! This is a tough one no doubt
quatrus 5 Dec, 2018 @ 11:36am
Complex puzzle. Sorry got stuck and couldn't see solution with out walkthroughs... Oh well. Thanks for creating.

@Requiemsoul Thanks :)

Excellent puzzle. I love when there is a race against the clock.
tapmage 26 Aug, 2018 @ 2:40pm
Cool. Np.
Mikeastro  [author] 26 Aug, 2018 @ 8:31am
@tapmage There, updated the map. Thanks again for your help :)
Joric 24 Aug, 2018 @ 7:35am
@Mikeastro idk about other peoples solutions, stack of two cubes is pretty intuitive as is.
Mikeastro  [author] 24 Aug, 2018 @ 2:49am
@tapmage That is very interesting - I would very much like to hear your solution! And yeah, there is a 1000 character limit on comment length unfortunately :|
tapmage 23 Aug, 2018 @ 9:10pm
1.5 hours to solve. But I solved it without using the reverse yellow tractor beam. Every other link I checked in these comments used the yellow tractor beam. I knew there was a solution using the yellow beam but I did my best to see if there was a solution without using it, and there was! No special ninja tricks. And once I was on the other side with the stairs, I didn't have go back to the beginning side, did it all from the one side. To bad I can't show you how via video, but I can tell you the final sequence I used to do it. Just say the word. But you black out the solution so it's not a spoiler, right? So it'll be safe to state the solution? If you want to read my solution let me know. Just know that it might have to post it in two parts if there's a space limit to how much you can type, I think it'll be two paragraphs long.
Mikeastro  [author] 23 Jul, 2018 @ 1:54am
@Joric That is true - if I recall correctly that was @Almisuifre's solution, or was it @bullfrog's initial solution...? But I think that doing that is a clever alternative to my intended way, so I'm fine with it being possible :)
Joric 23 Jul, 2018 @ 1:50am
Mikeastro, it's also possible to use a stack of two cubes - gives a second before the fizzler activates. I've always had difficulties with the null-portals :)
Mikeastro  [author] 22 Jul, 2018 @ 11:37pm
@Joric Thank you for the video! Indeed a bit quick at the beginning, but for the most part perfectly intended :)
Joric 22 Jul, 2018 @ 3:47pm
My 2-minute playthrough: https://youtu.be/aJJuaT8ZWB4 used a small shortcut in the beginning but it wasn't really ninja.
Mikeastro  [author] 17 Jun, 2018 @ 3:21am
@Nobody No-One Thank you very much!
Nobody No-One 16 Jun, 2018 @ 6:37pm
I enjoyed it. Nice use and reuse of elements and spaces. I always love when you have to accomplish the same goal, in this case pressing the button with the square/x signage, in two different ways throughout the puzzle. Thumbs up and favorited.
Mikeastro  [author] 12 Jun, 2018 @ 11:44am
@quaternary Very clever! Suffice it to say I will remove that second line of portalsurfaces :P
quat 12 Jun, 2018 @ 11:10am
Is this the intended way to do the ending? https://youtu.be/qfS2oJelCp8

Good map!
Mikeastro  [author] 11 Jun, 2018 @ 5:55pm
@asears16 Thanks a lot for the video! ...and for letting me know about that small angle you used to do the first part - I'll fix that shortly :)

Really nice puzzle. I liked that a lot. Thanks.
jandlml 6 Jun, 2018 @ 8:03pm
excellent map! took me a good 2 hours to figure out. faved
Mikeastro  [author] 5 Jun, 2018 @ 3:30am
@bullfrog When solving it myself I tended to use B, but A is equally valid - hadn't thought of that yet :) In fact, getting the companion cube to the exit is in and of itself not the hardest thing to achieve; when you have all three objects down with you, the player has quite some freedom, so it was to be expected that there's more than one way to do it :)
bullfrog 5 Jun, 2018 @ 3:03am
Out of interest; which of these two is the intended method; B or A ?
Mikeastro  [author] 4 Jun, 2018 @ 10:14am
Thanks KAKTUS; good to hear from you again :)
Almisuifre 2 Jun, 2018 @ 4:30am
Very clever steps, based on few elements, few surfaces, in a simple and controled layout. This is a strong mapping work, well done !

My only feedback is that the overall view at 1st glance is a bit confusing because of the not visible upper surface (exit, final connexions, unknown fizzler and sphere dropper). I got some ideas about that (friend invite sent) if you're up to :) Fav', and I'll check other maps from you.
Mikeastro  [author] 2 Jun, 2018 @ 2:00am
You're too kind :) I really appreciate the support :D
bullfrog 2 Jun, 2018 @ 1:14am
It was well worth it! I’ve just played it again; it’s pure genius and up there with the very best of the best logic puzzle makers; I’ll spread the word. Thank you, oh, and also now following :)
