Use SpaceSpectrum's fov mod. It works really well. It just pushes the weapon model out and it looks better.

The revolver is stuck in the default FOV.

There are outdated values in this mod, like things for npcs using this weapon. Default Black Mesa uses burst values of 3 to 6. This uses burst values of 8 to 16. Not only that, but this mod makes them more accurate and fire faster between bursts.

Just thought I should let you know. I compared stock weapon_mp5.dmx to the one in your mod, theres also some changes to "weight" but im not sure how much that changes.

it might work with weapon retextures bet definitely not with remodels/reanimations as they would override the hand textures.

I'm not sure. The viewmodel FOV is different from the normal FOV. I would just say install it and see if it fits you.

How did you change the viewmodel? Its weird that you cant change in the console inside the game and I would appreciate it how you changed the viewmodels.

You should be able to just subscribe. If it doesn't work, put the vpk from the workshop folder into the game's custom folder. If you don't know how to do that, you should be able to look up a tutorial. If not, I can walk you through it. Thanks!

Unfortunately this mod has been broken with updates and now breaks the mp5's grenade launcher,the regular launcher and grenades/snarks. Beware!

I've got the CS:GO MP5 mod and this still works fine for me. Also, have you thought about making a mod that positions the viewmodels to be a bit lower? I think that in conjunction with this mod would make the game MUCH less claustrophobic, and it would be just a bit more aesthetically in line with the original HL1.

Make sure you have the fov_viewmodel line AFTER the weight line, which looks like this ("weight" "int" "60") It has to be in the line directly below that. Let me know if that works!

So are the FOV variables editable for EACH weapon in Black Mesa? I saw a mod on Gamebanana that only effected the crowbar's FOV, and I was wondering, if that's the case, if you could tell me how to edit it because I would like to set ONLY the 357 Revolver's FOV to something high enough to consistently fit with the positioning of the glock pistol (so both guns will have Gordon's hand pretty visible).

nice, i have yet to try this out, but i've spent a long time in the past, messing around with console inputs to try to do this, all that "viewmodel_offset" nonsene.

If enough people want one, then I'll make it. But to be honest, any FOV higher than the ones I've set will cause clipping issues. But if the demand's high enough, then yeah.
