Litterally the first comment you made, sorry!
Is there a way to have them turned on by default on mission start?
I tried "Enabled Headlights" in the editor, but that works a little too well considering it ads another light coming from the back of the searchlight.
How can I set the power or the distance of illumination of the searchlight?
If your mod have probleme, why you no contact me? If i see at this addon, think have probleme if no use mod "tags".
You have problem with me? Who its autist? You? CSA38 dev its two men. What its your problem?
I don't think it has any rights attached to it though.

_lightman is the dummy guy inside of spotlight.
_gunner is the guy standing behind spotlight acting as its "gunner".
Condition: !alive _gunner
Activation: deleteVehicle _lightman
Condition: lifeState _gunner == "INCAPACITATED"
Activation: _lightman setUnconscious true;
Deactivation: _lightman setUnconscious false;
this makes it so when the guy standing behind the light spotting targets for it and "using" it gets put in a state where he couldn't use it anymore in real life (i.e. dead or really hurt) then the robo ai spotlight also stops working as well.
to turn light on
_spotlight setPilotLight true
to turn light off
as long as its occupied by a dummy ai it will aim at targets known to it. best practice is to put a man standing still behind the spotlight in the place where someone would stand while using one. sync the dummy ai in the spotlight to the guy behind the spotlight so the guy behind the spotlight is the ground leader. now the group leader guy behind the spotlight will direct the dummy in the spotlight to aim at targets. it works quite well at times and looks really cool when it does.
