On most servers I built a nice little base with a medium sized ship and some kind of rover. I always liked the ranom encounter mod with the "corrupted" drones that keep attacking your base with different kind of drones.
But in the end it always ended up as an single player vs npc survival, although I was playing on mp servers.
Maybe I should try a real roleplay-server with limited building, where you are forced to play together.
SE isn't very multiplayer/roleplay friendly, if you ask me. Not enough reasons to interact with each other after a few hours. But maybe I was just playing on the wrong servers.
- latest version of the Grasshopper attached
- added 7 atmospherical thrusters for better landing on planets (downwards only)
- updated LCD2 script to latest version
I will try to provide you with maximum payloads for every ship/container. Maybe I could add some thrusters to the grasshopper, too.
In my opinion, the vanilla thrusters aren't efficient enough to use with large ships. (if they arevsupposed to look good)
I don't think that a cargo-ship manufacturer would build military escort ships, too. So there's not much point in building an escort ship that looks similar to the cargo ship.
You can activate it from the door's control panel
1 small reactor can produce x power over time
1 battery can produce y power all at once (like a capacitor)
So for each small reactor you want to remove from the ship you would need (just a rough guess) 2-3 batteries to allow the same run time but also allow for the random spikes (surges) in power use. If you leave all the boxes in the battery menu empty then you can use them like capacitors instead (or like real life batteries). This would also allow you to remove (hide) them from both menus ("k menu" and "g menu") to make them more organized. By doing this while your docked, coasting in space, or set down on a planet you can shutdown your reactors (or if you have run out of uranium) and use a set of soalr panels (etc.) to recharge you batteries to keep you alive until you are ready to leave (or get where your going).
I would replace all but 2 of the h2/o2 gens with cargo (hold more ice and emergency supplies).
