Anyways, I found the problem, and the issue will be fixed with the next update to the mod. I might try to fix the textures for that as well. In the mean time, disconnecting and reconnecting an input (to get the flip-flop to re-initialize) after loading it up on the lift should get it to work.

This assumes a decent understanding of logic operations and reading truth tables. If you are unsure of your abilities there, I'd suggest following some of the links on the Wikipedia page I linked to. If that's too technical (which it often can be), I'd just Google whatever's giving you trouble. There's a pretty wide array of resources concerning this type of stuff out there.
