@ Capt. Boner - Haven't heard of that problem before.
Did you try turning off the Slimer mod and restarting the game?
I've noticed a lot of little mod bits will hold over when deselected without a restart; Hopefully that's the easy fix.

I already have the Slimer/Boomer mod made. Just click my name and go to my Workshop and you'll see it.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get the old common infected Slimer mod working with my Slimer updates; but I don't see that as a mod anyone wants to use more than once anyways, so it's not a big loss.

Use the voices from the animated series and not the movies. He had a lot of lines. Prob someone out there that has a lot of samples.

I'm currently unaware of the exact steps that go into making a sound pack for L4D2, however I had the same thought you did and searched for Slimer movie sounds. Unfortunately, the 3 sounds he does make in the movie basically sound like someone strangling a walrus and are mixed with the movie's music & Venkman going "no, no, nooo.."
Might be cool to have a pack made of his various squees and grunts from the cartoon show; but I'll leave that to someone else.
