i generated a .aas file after editing the bsp in hex edit but the bots just stand around, and only move when hit then jump around and only use machine gun.

imo the creator did a fucking fabulous job, however nicer lamps using the skull covers from old q3a maps, more detail in the textures especially the wood grain, fog on the bottom floor, and stationary objects such as non breakable pots and less texture repetition in certain areas would be great. also, the map desperately needs ambient environment sounds.

How come cant jump off map or be kicked out of bounds ...its so wide open and tempting to play with, then you hit the invis wall :(

The ONLY thing I was disappointed in this map was not being able to jump or out of bounds someone at the green armor ledge...Very deflating to attempt to jump around there, only to be stifled by an invisible wall...

if you canot find the map when the compuyer is offline (no Internet, happens from time to time) just copy the pak from workshop in the baseq3 directory -workshop is somewhere in the Steam directory.

Some people deserve the utter respect for their imagination, work and contribution to the well-being of the community and Max Zim and whoever else helped him create this map, deserve just that.

So thank you very much kind sir(s) for your efforts, I truly appreciate your efforts.


Such a wonderful thing this map-port, that has at least 3 merits:

1. Feed the Quake 3 / Quake Live nostalgia for people who haven't fully (or at all) transitioned to Quake Champions
2. Help those aforementioned players to have a smoother transition by helping them adapt to the new status quo
3. Finally something to do when Quake Champions servers are down or are under maintenance (like this very moment)

I don't know if this map is without bugs or has some less developed aspects but the encouraging thing is that it exists and it can be built further upon.
I played one game in FFA with bots to test it out and the feeling of satisfaction was sublime.

In the end, if I may have a humble suggestion.

For those new or unfamiliar with how Steam Market works and is integrated within Quake Live (like myself) it would help to have the following included in this post's descrirption:

1. in order to actually have the map in-game one has to click the "Subscribe" button
2. once subscribed, if one can't find the map in the map list or has no idea on how to do so, the easiest method is to type in console: /map BloodConvenant


Thank you once again for this wonderful idea and its implementation, hats off to you Max Zim and all others who helped you develop and publish this.
My deepest appreciation and I hope you continue doing map-ports from QC to QL.

You forgot to compile the VIS part. The whole map is rendered at once.
I played the map with 24 people on it. Resulting in frame drops under 90 FPS. (GTX 1050)

Finally most important things with this map are well done. Good job mister and thank you! :)
For those wanting to try out the map against computer I recommend using Xaero-nightmare-fast reaction-nochat because his weapon priorities are LG which is easy to get and then rail with which you could theoretically control the map -mostly because if you don't know his patterns you cannot predict always if he will get to use the LG or the RG against you.
But then again the only QL bot that I find good for training who would give the impression of SOME depth thinking is Hunter on classical dm6 -but can also be easily put to rest if you control the LG -for training I pressure the bot to get 10 frag advantage then I try to use as much RG as possible for defensive procedures.

And... the jumpad got fixed and DUEL mode has been added -which is good -but the flag on the quad damage has not been changed!! rofl (been a mapper myself but haven't touch the editor for 10 years now so I don't remember much) but how hard is before releasing the new version to test it for 1 God forsaken match?? I might try to remember editing stuff and edit the map to put mega the old QC ver1 style where YA is (for variation).

dunno if you bother to put flags for duel but WITH THE LAST UPDATE you clearly FORGOT to properly set the jumpad to mega -jumpad doesn't work anymore, great work ja

QL workshop version gives me an error, but I got it for Q3 on worldspawn. As expected, it already plays better than the original QC map. Way more fluid, you don't get stuck on invisible stuff, moving around with rocket jumps feels so very satisfying. If anything, I would suggest adding clips to some of the spots and perhaps change some wood textures (namely below mega)

The plasma gun seems to be missing despite there being ammo on the map. Also, the Quad is in the wrong spot in regards to its QC counterpart. It should be behind the big lobster statue thing in the megahealth room.
