@illusion: I played against Gallia twice before on Immortal difficulty (once as Reyson, and once as Kiang's Dheginsea) and didn't run into any problems. Gallia was strong in both games, but not game-breakingly so. As Reyson, Gallia destroyed Goldoa but didn't invade anyone else (overall, they were mid-high rank). As Goldoa, they attacked me, so I retaliated and crushed Zarzi with an army with musketmen, cannon and white dragons, advancing slowly over 30+ turns while maintaining a strong defensive line, and using 3 citadels to negate Gallia's UA. One of the toughest wars I ever fought. It was awesome!

@illusion: Sure, I think a nerf is in order. I'll push one out.

Would it be possible to nerf them? I used the Tellius map and IGE to make a recreation of all of the nations. However, Gallia was absurdly op. They completely destroyed Goldoa and the only thing stopping them from destroying all the other civs was geography and myself playing as Crimea. Their combat modifier is strong enough on its own, but the damage in forest tiles and food/production bonuses makes them absurd if you give them their accurate borders on the Tellius map. It got to the point that I just ended up deleting all their units and forcing them back to the start of the tech tree after the 3rd time they somehow managed to glitch through the tech modifiers causing all techs outside of the middleages for every other civ to take 400 turns each. I do not know what is going on with this civ's code, but it makes them so op that other ai nations are helpless against them. Even Begnion which I spawned with over 10 times their army size was getting destroyed by a couple tiger units.

@Deathzbo:

Click the "Direct Download Here" link, then once you've downloaded the file, unzip it using 7zip or a similar file extractor. Then, you take the folder and you drag-and-drop it into your computer's mods folder for Civ V. It will be called "MODS" and is probably at this file location:

Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization V\MODS

Alternatively, just press "Subscribe" and Steam will download it for you. Sometimes Steam doesn't install the mod correctly though, so that's why the above method exists.

How does one download this mod?
Kiang  [author] 9 Apr, 2019 @ 11:08am
@Blaze: The AI personalities for my leaders are written in SQL rather than in XML. So you'd have to look in the SQL files.
Blaze 3 Apr, 2019 @ 4:29pm
So, I got curious and have been looking through a few different civ mods to peek at the AI Leaders' personalities, but I can't find those files in the mod for this, or several other mods of yours that I've peeked at. Does he not have an AI personality, or is this file somehow hidden in a way other mods don't use?

@EmperorQ: Nice work, I'm impressed! You know, we could really use someone like you over on the Discord. If you ever feel like chatting with some other like-minded Civ-playing FE-fans, please feel free to stop by and say hi!

I had thought that I already fixed the bug and that I had already set CannotBeChosen to 1 for the promotions, so I checked everything on my computer again, and sure enough, all the bug fixes were there. Only problem was, I (somehow, embarrassingly) forgot to upload the new patch to Steam! :P So, yeah, I'm fixing the diplomacy lines -- nice catch, I totally missed those -- and then I'll send out the update with all the fixes, like I should have weeks ago. Thanks again for your report!
Lunais 30 Jul, 2018 @ 6:20pm
Okay, I see what the problem is. You gave Gallia a dummy building that grants it the free promotion PROMOTION_KIANG_GALLIA_UA, but there are no restrictions on other civs getting the promotion (not for free).

Easy fix. I added CannotBeChosen = 1 into its UnitPromotions entry. That should do it.

I also added CannotBeChosen = 1 for the Cat, Tiger, and Lion promotions. Those don't seem to be causing problems, maybe because they don't have a UnitCombatType attached, but just in case.

Oh and I noticed while looking through your code: some of Caineghis's diplo lines seem to be Elincia's. Not game-breaking, but thought you should know.
Lunais 30 Jul, 2018 @ 5:19pm
Yeah, thanks! For the time being I'll just put in a line of code to delete the promotion.
Kiang  [author] 30 Jul, 2018 @ 4:03pm
@EmperorQ: Ugh, I thought I fixed that bug already! ^^; Nevertheless, thanks so much for checking out my work and for leaving such a detailed bug report! I will be putting out an update as soon as I can to fix it. I hope you continue to enjoy my mods! :)

When I was playing as another civ (not Gallia, but Gallia is in the game), all of my units can choose the Soan's Legacy promotion as an alternative to tier 1 promotions (ex. Shock I and Drill I). Also, it seems non-Gallia AI civs can too - I was fighting Black Fang units all with Soan's Legacy.
Lunais 27 Jul, 2018 @ 3:47am
I'm playing as Gallia, but jungles inside my territory are not giving +1 Production. They give +1 Food though, and forests give +1 Food and +1 Production, as they should

I'm just guessing here, but maybe FEATURE_JUNGLE has no YIELD_PRODUCTION table element so this code

INSERT INTO Trait_UnimprovedFeatureYieldChanges
(TraitType, FeatureType, YieldType, Yield)
VALUES ('TRAIT_KIANG_CAINEGHIS', 'FEATURE_JUNGLE', 'YIELD_PRODUCTION', 1);

doesn't work?

@☯~Shady Diver~☯: Hello and thanks so much for your wonderful comment! It's really fans that give my work purpose and drive me to put out more material; I'm so glad to hear that you enjoy my mods! :)

As for Ike, I do not currently have any plans to make a civ for him. However, I would love to hear your ideas! On the Fire Emblem Modders' Discord, we're always very eager for fresh new civ ideas, and I would personally be really grateful if you stopped on by to chat with us!

Thanks again and here is the Discord link! https://discordapp.com/invite/bCvvftW

Longtime follower of yours Kiang, and probably the biggest fan of your Fire Emblem mods.

Seeing as you've been one of the first and only people i've seen delve into the Radiant games when it comes to mods, i was curious if you or anyone you know working these Fire Emblem mods were going to work on a possible Greil Mercenaries civ, led by Ike/Greil?

I'd love to work on it myself, as i have many ideas i'd think would be great, but i've already tried diving into the mod scene before, and i simply lack the skills and time to learn it all.

Hope to see more from you soon, keep it up friend!

@JDP-Craft: Not yet! But Goldoa will be coming soon. :)
JDPCraftAndLunala 13 Jun, 2018 @ 4:42pm
Have you added any similar civs like these like the other leaders of the other Laguz?
Kiang  [author] 10 Jun, 2018 @ 5:28pm
@dknich: It is not throughout the entire map. It is only in forests and jungles controlled by Gallia. I understand how the original trait description is a bit misleading -- I have since updated the description to reflect this. Thank you for taking the time to comment on my work! :)
dknich03 10 Jun, 2018 @ 2:26pm
the fact that jungle and forest tiles deal damage to enemy units is a bit concerning. is it just within friendly territory or throughout the entire map? because if it's throughout the entire map, then all you have to do is declare war on a civilization and all of their troops will die within 5 turns (if the map is heavily focused on jungle/forest tiles
