I'm one of this game creators so i know what i say :)
Correct me if I am wrong - Please !
Maybe they are missing a Tracks folder ?
I would really like to know - any Mac users out there that could add to this ?
Tracks on Mac are disabled due to compatibility issues.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Car Mechanic Simulator 2018\cms2018_Data\StreamingAssets
the - workshop\content\645630 - download folder from steam is a register folder that tells the program that you are subscribed to the author of the track instead you copy a track mod to the StreamingAssets/Tracks folder that is the actual executable game program - and I took these steps to have the Track Mod accessible in the CMS-2018 Game.
It was the only way I could get them accessible in the game.
This is also probably the reason why Mac users can not get their Tracks to work.
PC Version:- CMS 2018 - Installed via Steam - 2019
1. The subscribed file has downloaded into:-
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\645630
2. It will have a number i.e:- 15795336479 for a folder name - open & look for the file upload_config.txt then open file & look for - package_name=San Fierro this is the name of the track and not a car.
3. Now a CMS 2018 game has a folder missing in the:-
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Car Mechanic Simulator 2018\cms2018_Data\StreamingAssets
You will see Cars & Movies & LicensePlates but there is no Tracks folder all you do is add a new folder and name it Tracks then copy the subscribed Race Track download file into the new folder name Tracks then in game go to garage door click then click on Workshop Maps select a Car then select a Track. - That is it !
i can drive my roadrunner in san feirro
