I see the suspended glass,I believe you didn't use LB to do that, then how you made it?Also I like the funnel very much,is there any detail to share?

Back to the puzzle, honestly I didn't realize I should use the sendi at first, kind confused me a bit,the glass/grating area also fizzler the ball sometimes,it took me a while to figure out I should make some flings .A thumbs up to the design, the puzzle is evil. :p

@3UGL3N4: Oh yeah, your solution is quite different from the intended one. Anyway, it's an old, outdated map that should be put on "hidden" anyway :-P Thank you for playing, tough.

@Pnezyx: Thank you!
Pnezyx 16 Aug, 2023 @ 8:52pm
interesting concept, but it was annoying when trying to bring the sphere through the maze, and then realize you aren't supposed to after 5 minutes of trying. good map though, thumbs up

I know I'm kinda late to the party but here's my solution: https://youtu.be/8ujgQzEBnFw
The part with blocking the door from closing with the sphere is probably not very legit but oh well...

@PhilFromFrance: Thank you very much for your comment. The map was done with an older BEE version. That's probably the reason why you got errors and crashs. I'm sorry. I'm glad you liked the idea.

It's one of your only puzzles that wasn't too hard for me. I found 2 blues errors, one on the laser source and one on the sentificator button. I had 2 crashes too. Other than that, I found this puzzle very original and I don't understand why it hasn't been more popular.
Narkodes  [author] 4 Aug, 2020 @ 10:36am
Lol no. I'll have to redo that map at some point. It's funny, although quite simple.
Dark Rozen 4 Aug, 2020 @ 8:53am
But I could see the purple and white fizzlers, shouldn't they be hidden too?
jandlml 5 Jul, 2018 @ 2:51pm
oh wow thats way to involved for me to have figured out. well im glad i got as far as i did
Narkodes  [author] 4 Jul, 2018 @ 3:08pm
Maybe you can watch the video as an inspiration.
jandlml 4 Jul, 2018 @ 3:05pm
no portal bumping hmm
Narkodes  [author] 4 Jul, 2018 @ 3:05pm
send the cube with the help of the sendificator behind the LAST fizzler
jandlml 4 Jul, 2018 @ 3:02pm
man i think ive only solved one of your maps. i got past that point but now all i have left is to get the sphere to the faith plate . cant see how to do that. i got a couple errors but i think that is a sendificator . dont know what to do with that. i got the sphere to the upper most room behind the grate but am stuck there
jandlml 4 Jul, 2018 @ 2:42pm
tried both of those things i will try one more time
jandlml 3 Jul, 2018 @ 5:50pm
for some reason its not working for me. whenever i go to take it through the glass hole it fizzles
jandlml 3 Jul, 2018 @ 5:33pm
i will try again

updated.

i cant get the sphere in the glass box. it keeps fizzling
Narkodes  [author] 9 Jun, 2018 @ 3:00pm
Never used hammer ;)
Nobody No-One 9 Jun, 2018 @ 2:59pm
Ah, I thought you had edited it in Hammer to create the invisible fizzlers. That's clever then.
Narkodes  [author] 9 Jun, 2018 @ 2:58pm
A second map with this concept isn't planned. 1. It's just a beemod bug, which allows to place working fizzlers although they are disabled, so the whole map could be realized with blue standard fizzlers. 2. to build this map costs soooo much time, 'cause you have to add hundreds of geometry elements. This is confusing, time-consuming and yeah... not that much fun. Another problem: When the map contains so many geom. elements, the game crashed when using the sendificator. I had to delete 3/4 of the map design because it crased everytime when I pressed the sendificator. I'm happy that it seems to work now.

Anyways, the concept COULD be realised with standard fizzlers, but the invisible ones give a complete new touch to it. So it was an interesting mission to build this one, but I won't do another unless I get a brillant idea what I could do with it.
Narkodes  [author] 9 Jun, 2018 @ 2:58pm
Hmmmmm you're right, when you fizzle the sphere in the mainroom, it's a big problem. The reason why I didn't place a second sphere dropper is simply because you don't have to move the sphere in this room ( = no risk). But yeah, never thought about the issue that players could do that because they have a false solution in mind. And yeah, it's also a bit sneaky (but intentional) that the player has to bring the cube through all the glass and so on, until the mainroom is reached. At this point the goal is that the player passes the fizzlers, and not the sphere. Maybe "misleading" but I like it that way, 'cause it toys with the player's expectations. However, maybe I'll add a second cube dropper in the main room. For the case of destroying the sphere I added an autosave, but you're right, it's not enough I guess.
Nobody No-One 9 Jun, 2018 @ 2:36pm
Once I actually figured out what I had to do in the main room it was a good puzzle, but because of the design a player might think you need to bring the sphere through the maze , and only find out after much frustration that it doesn't even work and you have to use the sendificator. That's just kind of tedious.

Anyway, I'm going to give it a thumbs up because the puzzle was pretty good once I realized that I was going along the wrong path, and it's a neat concept. Are you planning to make more maps with it?
Nobody No-One 9 Jun, 2018 @ 2:36pm
OK, I came back to this map and solved it.

It's a good map overall, and the concept is quite nice, but I do maintain that it is very unforgiving (sometimes the sphere fizzled even when it was fully within the confines of the glass box, just because I put it too close to the edge). Once you get into the main area (with the "maze"), it seems to me that you are trapped if you lose the sphere, since this door closes behind you:

You can portal back to the first area, but once you get to that door you can't get anywhere, unless I'm missing something. I just resorted to binding a key to "ent_create_portal_weighted_sphere" because it kept getting fizzled so often. I'd recommend giving the player a new sphere with a dropper in the main room to make this less frustrating.
Nobody No-One 8 Jun, 2018 @ 12:24pm
Ah, good to know. :)
Narkodes  [author] 8 Jun, 2018 @ 3:53am
Before doing such weird things, think about a solution :) I'm pretty sure you will figure out when you have to use the sendificator. you don't have to bring the sphere through the "maze" area ;)
Nobody No-One 8 Jun, 2018 @ 3:33am
The sendificator didn't crash the game, but I couldn't figure out where/when to use it. I just pressed the button that activates the sendificator and opens that door, I walked through the door quickly with the sphere, rolled the sphere through the next small glass box, and then tried to walk the sphere through the maze of fizzlers. I gave up for now when my sphere fizzled for like the 25th time in that area when it had barely touched any of the black surfaces. I'll probably come back to this map though.
Narkodes  [author] 8 Jun, 2018 @ 12:32am
Thanks for the feedback. Did you solve the map / crashed the game while using the sendificator?
Nobody No-One 7 Jun, 2018 @ 8:43pm
The concept is definitely interesting but it gets rather frustrating when the sphere keeps fizzling again and again. It's very unforgiving at times. I'd be interested to see how this concept can be used in an actual puzzle.
