There has been a lot a lot of updates recently and as i run a server with a lot of Alamo Floor covering in it Rubble and so on, see my other post here, fortunately i get around it buy removing some of the items or replacing them. The errors are coming from the IFA _AIO_Lite

Is this mission still supposed to work?
I've already disabled all mods except the ones listed here.

Tried both SP and MP, where I always get an error "vehicle class land-fow-rubble_2 no longer exists":

When launching in SP, the intro - explaining the mission - starts but after that you are stuck with this screen, where you can here stuff happening (like fighting), but it won't continue:

And in MP it won't even load the intro; it's stuck after seemingly loading everything, with an error "unknown game mode":

Any advice or did some update or another (both A3 and IFA3 have been recently updated) brake anything?

Hey Dude Ride I'm running a server in MP with your mission on it. I have extended your mission and made it throughout Omar, i have no problems whatsoever with this mission, You did a great job on it.I have 8 different Missions on there and was looking for ground objects,It make it so realistic. Keep up the good work Brilliant Stuff !

3. Can't recruit the infantry - looked at the marked position, there was just the end of the road, and nothing else.
5. Can't see the inventory in the crate, on location marked "recruit infantry".

All needed mods are activated through the Steam.

1. Can't take anything from the crates on the bed
2. Started the missions, soldiers shout out "They're coming from the east", "take cover" - and nothing happens. Waited for several minutes.
"They're coming from the South East! - and nothing happened too.
But I can hear the sounds of tanks.

It's a great scenariop! But mission is somhow buggy, because I'm not able to take any of the weapons or ammo from the crates in the command building position. It just stays in the crate..

Nice firefight but you should enable saving for SP in the init.sqf!!!
(edit the pbo file > init.sqf > enablesaving [true,true]; )

since it seems to be you were going for a saving private ryan scenario with the scresnshots then there neds to be 2 tiger tanks, 2 panzers, and 50 infantry plus change

This is an amazing mission and I've played it a couple times now in vanilla. However could one of the authors help? I'm trying to make the mission ace compatiable, after opening the PBO, adding ace modules then moving it into MP missions, on loading it literally everything explodes, German positions, American positions. Would anyone know what causes this?

When you go to select a mission in MP, it should be listed there.

@SgtMattson, if you play the mission as MP, you'll have the ability to respawn. At the moment, I don't know if it's worth it to add a checkpoint save system, but I will consider it. For now though, playing in MP may solve your issue. Also, I think you can manually save the game by hitting esc and saving the game. I'm not entirely sure if this will work, but it's worth a shot. Hope it helps!

Very Good Mod! However it's not possible to save the game (if you're playing singleplayer) or is this a feature of the mod? I would like to be able to save since, I died of random artillery and found it frustrating to wait the 10 mins in the start and all that. This is my only complaint, otherwise splendid work!

@Dude ride and everyone, ammo types are incompatible due to the Faces of War and Iron Front compatibility patch not being a required mod. If you wish to make your life a lot easier, load up the compat. This will allow you to use faces of war ammo with iron front guns and vice versa. That would have helped me and my buddies out during our playthrough

@TheBigDog, the ai pathfinding on that map tends to be buggy. I can't really fix it because it's dependent on the mod. However, if you tinker around with the ai, you can usually get them to move. Also, yes, using AI mods has a potential to screw with the gameplay. Use at your own risk.

Actually i had the AI problem as well. Some of them would just refuse to move. Also i had a bug of the germans not spawning at all. Had VCOM running as well, not sure if that was causing the issue

2) Building glitching - I guess it's some asset issues or model issues of the buildings where you have a tendency to clip through the walls and floor and suffer fall damage (found that the hard way when i clipped through the 3 storey building and died on impact)

3) A.I squads have difficulty following commands to move to certain areas, I've been trying to get them to climb buildings but to no avail, I'm guessing that they don't recognize certain assets as "passable" and might treat them as obstacles. They won't enter buildings unless following you, additionally it seems that you can't really position them let's say in the crater defillade for cover, they either stand infront or behind cause I believe they treat it as a solid object rather than something you can climb over.

Other than that I'm really liking your scenario since I'm a huge WW2 buff.

@dude, yeah I've only been playing on SP.

I found out that the german weapons within crates can't be picked up, those that spawn ambiently on top of the crates etc can be.

Few more bugs I've found that is fairly recreatable and feedback in general

1) Calling a squadmate to mount the PAK43 near the entrance can cause your character to freeze and not be able to input ANY commands (reload still works for some reason but no animations and you can't move)

@TeddyBeartan, strange. I've noticed that glitch in some of the test play as well, but I can't figure out why it occurs. Has nothing to do with the scripts. Must be something with J.I.P or Arma. Did this happen in MP or SP? Online, Lan or SP?

hey so i cant pick up german ammo in the pre-starting part, i can pick up some of the guns like the mg42 but i cant pick up the drums despite it being in the weight limit as well

and for some starts i can't recruit on the first wave during prep phase and sometimes i can

@Terry The Tortoise, in this mission there is loot from the prior battle spread out all over the town. You can find unique German and American weapons inside buildings and outstide. Also, you can recruit ai and have them man the AT guns in the town.

@ShelDont, if you open the .PBO, the sound files will be in a folder labled "Sound." I'm not sure as to why the sound won't work on dedicated. It might be that this mission is not J.I.P friendly. So if the mission is already running when you join, everything will be out of sync. Try launching the mission when everyone is in a playable slot and is able to load in at the same time. Hope it helps!

I am having issues with sounds when hosting a dedicated server. Sound is fine when I play LAN, but after connecting to my server there is now sound after the intro video. Any ideas? Name of sound files? Thanks

@SaleArma-Man, sorry to hear that. If possible, I would suggest getting a headless-client as I suspect the reason the mission is hard to run for you is due to too much ai processing. You could also reduce lag by hosting the mission on a dedicated server, or you could host the mission as lan and, in the parameters, set the difficulty to easy; this will reduce the number of enemies on the map. Lot's of fun and really well composed. It honestly would've been just another boring WWII or A3 mission if it wasn't for all the sound work you did. It really kicked up the immersion

@Maxghiro16, Recruiting infantry is disabled during combat because the battle preperation stage is over. Recruit as many infantry units as you can during this stage. Also, if you host this mission as LAN, you can set the difficulty of the mission to make it easier.
