I came here to get the link for someone and saw your To Do List. Are you planning to do those still? The top one in particular I'm very interested in!
Would love to know how to make this mod work with concise ui. I know I need to change something in concise UI mod, but don't know what
Any help to make it work?
I have both this and Concise UI enabled, and this one doesn't work for me. It worked fine before I installed Concise.
So, does it conflict with Concise UI?
Important note: I am using both Rise and Fall, as well as Gathering Storm expansions.
I was trying to track down an unrelated set of bugs to this mod.
I came across this, in the Lua.log
GetPlayerResearchBoostBoni: ERROR: can't load table from GetPlayerEurekaBoostBoni_ImportantVariables
GetPlayerResearchBoostBoni: ERROR: can't load table from GetPlayerEurekaBoostBoni_PlayerEurekaBoniArray
I believe these are tables that are loaded and saved in:
File: GetPlayerResearchBoostBoni.Lua
function OnLoadScreenClose()
function SaveMyTable()
I'm a dinosaur at coding; but, I think you were trying to initialize the tables or something.
- Added compatibility for Version 2.0 (Gathering Storm).
- Bugfix: The Research Stop Reminder will also work when the historic moments has popped up in that turn.
@weraptor: I was planning to add such clickable options. I just need to learn how to do that.
Still thinking, that is a MUCH better version of your mod.
Kudos!!
This is why my mod requires functions that only make sense in Rise and Fall and I think it would leed to weird results or even game crashs, if I dropped the R&F-requirement.
I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that someone else is reading this and would be happy to be reminded with pop-ups.
I put a link for the alternate popup version in the description. You can also put the link in your mod collection.
The Pop-up-Version is MUCH better, than the actual one.
I still often overlook the changes in research (maybe, because I use some other mods, which opens a similar menu on the right). AND, the information is so important, that it justifies an pop-up.
I strongly recommend integrating the popups into the workshop-version. And i look forward, to present them in my collection, to many subscribers.
And I do not think, that many pop-ups are triggered. In 50%+ of the cases, the EUREKA will be finished before the research is close to the event. In the other 50% of the cases, only one pop-up is necessary (in the trun before reching 60%.
In the end, I expect only 1 pop-up every 20 turns.
I would prefer this pop-up. But just my opinion...
So I dont think that I should use popups. Just try this mod yourself and you will see.
But I would like to try out, if it is possible, to integrate a pop-up, in case the mod triggers an event.
Ouestion: Change research, if you want to use a Eureka Boost later
Answer1: Open Panel
Answer2: No, thanks
