I subscribed and have the various theme mixer mods. But this map theme does not appear when I check map themes on the content manaager. Any ideas?

I have 64GB of 3200 and this mod pack uses 30GB of RAM when in a new game.

strangely other themes work fine with theme mixer but this one doesnt seem to actually work? is it not compatible anymore with the latest DLC's?

Amazing work, but I've got all your roads and your theme turned on but am not getting Give Way signs etc. at junctions... anyone know how to get round this?
Flashpoint CIC 7 Aug, 2022 @ 3:36pm
Hi there,

Loving your work. However an issue I seem to have is that for a bunch of roads (mostly the asymmetrical ones) the road looks completely different when set to elevated and in such a way that it doesn't connect even closely with the ground level version of the same road.

Is this a known issue or am I doing something wrong?

Can't get this to work at all - Theme mixer 2 doesn't show up after subbing, this doesn't show up anywhere after subbing. Just at a loss. I really want to use these roads but they're just not good without the theme :/

@junedavey60 It's a map theme, not a mod - turn it on by using Theme Mixer 2 or making a new game

I Subscribed to it, Went in the game, and cant find it it the mods, can somebody help?

Total newbie question: Should this theme automatically make the roads in the default maps UK roads, or does it just effect the texture? If it doesn't automatically turn the default roads of the map into UK ones, is there any way of doing this, or is it just a case of having to edit the map and replace them manually. Cheers - roads look great!

LOVE the theme and the roads. One suggestion/request: Would it be possible to integrate the junction markings with TMPE? That would allow for give way, stop, and traffic lights, and would definitely be a big help. I assumed road markings weren't working until I realized I had to go into Traffic Routs and change the junction type there...something I never do because I use TMPE exclusively for the finer control.

Great, thanks
Macwelshman  [author] 4 Nov, 2021 @ 5:30pm
@staituk To activate 'Give Way' and 'Traffic Lights' at junctions set either 'Stop' or 'Traffic Lights' in the 'Traffic Routes' 'Junctions' info panel.
staituk 4 Nov, 2021 @ 4:27pm
do i have to manually place the giveway decals at the end of the road or are they done automatic ? thanks

Great pack shame this theme turns the snow green:(

@I Just Sawed This Boat In Half Hide It specifically hides the vanilla road signs so it won't effect the signs from the UK pack. The only way to stop signs appearing would be to disable the sign in the content manager. The Loading Screen mod will throw a 'missing asset' warning but that won't cause a problem.
Only Cams 23 Jun, 2020 @ 5:34am
Is there anyway to stop it making road signs appear at every intersection because hide it won't turn them off.
Macwelshman  [author] 23 Feb, 2020 @ 9:24am
@Kryten All issues are being resolved with the update.
Kryten 23 Feb, 2020 @ 6:54am
@Macwelshman As a guy that's lived 99% of his life in the UK, I think all those crossings on every single road (and not being able to turn them off and simply place our own pedestrian crossings) is the one thing that really brings the game down for me.

By the way, if you're looking at changing the way your excellent UK roads are, can you look at the way bus stops are added? I'm not sure if you've noticed this but if I use your roads, when I place a bus stop on some of them (I think it was the roads where an actual layby is created in the vanilla roads for the bus to stop at), the road turns totally blue! The only way to get rid of that blue section is to delete it, delete the bus stop and place the road again, or simply upgrade the road to a vanilla one.

@Kryten As far as I know there no way to stop the citizens crossing at junctions. It's a very American thing. I will continue to see if there are ways to improve the roads as I'm undertaking an update to them at the moment. I would hold your breath though!
Kryten 22 Feb, 2020 @ 5:48am
@Macwelshman Thanks mate. I will look into that.
By the way, when using your own theme do you allow your citizens to use the (now invisible) crossings? I find this very annoying as it's just not realistic seeing hundreds of people all crossing a road just after a junction with cars passing through them!! So, I turn off the crossings using TMPE but then my citizens have no way of crossing roads and I need to place walkways all over the map, which again just doesn't look right. There appears to be no means of placing down your own crossings that actually show up! I wonder what other people do about this?
RaVantriX 21 Feb, 2020 @ 6:20am
@Max801 Thanks! sorry for the late reply
Macwelshman  [author] 20 Feb, 2020 @ 12:31pm
@Kryten That's a message when a map has been created with a third party theme that isn't subscribed. It isn't specific to this theme. Check that the theme is subscribed and enabled.
Kryten 20 Feb, 2020 @ 5:46am
Anyone know why I get this error message? (See screenshot)

@HMS_Hunter[SWE] I had this same issue. The fix is to use BloodyPenguin's Environment Changer . This allows you to select this theme with any map.
RaVantriX 19 Nov, 2019 @ 1:08pm
Does anybody know why I can't get this map theme to show up under custom themes when starting a new game? I've tried vanilla, DLC and a modded map but it just doesn't show. (It is enabled in the content manager and is the only theme I have installed)
Macwelshman  [author] 4 Nov, 2019 @ 4:09am
@Jack If you want to place the arrows manually you’ll find them in Find It by searching for ‘UKR D’ (this finds all decals) and add ‘ArF’, ‘ArFL’, ‘ArFR’, ‘ArL’ or ‘ArR’.
Jack 3 Nov, 2019 @ 10:36pm
@Macwelshman Thanks for replying!f In my situation it was a 3-lane ‘minor’ road intersecting a major road at a T-junction; I had set the middle lane for Left+Right but no arrows appeared. I would prefer to see them in that instance but it’s no big deal :)
Macwelshman  [author] 28 Oct, 2019 @ 2:25am
@Jack The direction arrows are decals from the ‘Essentials’ pack and are set to appear in a more limitted number of situations compared to the vanilla roads. Mostly they will only appear at traffic lights but will also show when joining a one-way road. What situations are you specifically referring to?
Jack 27 Oct, 2019 @ 9:31am
I might be being stupid, but I've sdubscribed to all of your packs including this map theme, and playing on a European map. For some reason, all road arrows appear correctly, except the 'Left Turn & Right Turn' arrow, which doesn't appear at all. Hope this makes sense, anyone else experienced this?
HexAyed 26 Sep, 2019 @ 8:39am
I second @Odie, Is there a way we can use this for flat maps that lazy people like me use? :highlvl::secrectorder:
Mustafina 2 Aug, 2019 @ 12:10pm
@Slye_Fox try New Caledonia (custom pavement) v.1.1
Slye_Fox 15 Jun, 2019 @ 3:53am
Anyone know if there's a map theme that has paving slabs for the concrete?
Odysseus 10 Apr, 2019 @ 8:13am
Hi, this mod is quite good and does improve the UK experience, however i cant use it with any other map other than the vanilla ones.(it wont show up in the theme selection of workshop maps). Is there a way around it ?
Macwelshman  [author] 8 Apr, 2019 @ 3:17pm
@Starshall Thank you so much. The motorways are being created as we speak. They have been far more difficult to create than I expected but will be available soon.
Starshall 8 Apr, 2019 @ 1:17pm
This is really something - for any UK city builders your UK road project takes the game to the next level. Absolutely superb!
Macwelshman  [author] 21 Mar, 2019 @ 3:58pm
@Horanth Too Hi. I usually use the standard European but use Relight and Daylight classic to tweak the settings until I get something I like. It's not science with me and I'm always changing it. Sorry I can't provide any specific settings - my advice is to experiment.
Horanth Too 21 Mar, 2019 @ 1:24pm
What LUT do you recommend?
ACarFanatic 20 Jan, 2019 @ 6:55am
This is what I see every day :steamhappy:
Macwelshman  [author] 2 Jan, 2019 @ 8:57am
@AngryBird if you just want the important textures use Pavement, Road Upward and Downward.
Bird 2 Jan, 2019 @ 7:10am
Hi - thanks for your work - you always do the best assets. I'm using themem mixer mod, to get the textures do I have to have this as just the road textures (upward and downward i think).
