It adds a new recruit, new dialogue, new race, and a new weapon. I no longer maintain it and I don't have my original files to edit it, so I can't really get more in depth than that.

Sorry, I don't use crafting animation overhaul, and I've stopped playing Kenshi until the Sequel comes out.

I don't believe it'll be an issue. No one thus far has had an issue with the mod slowing down their PCs (that I've been made aware of), but each PC is unique. Worst comes to worst, you can just unsub from Aoife if need be :)

Hi, just a performance issue question before I download this. The file size of this mod is huge compared to nearly every other mod for Kenshi. My PC is a bit weird, 10 year old I-3 3.2 Ghz, 10 GB DDR3, SSD & Ti 1050 4GB which runs at 56% speed due to the age of my mainboard. I can run Witcher 3 on 1080p ultra, but Kenshi makes my GPU fan cry, I also have a lot of loadtime (more than my mega modded Fallout 4). Will the size of this file cause performance issues even greater than what I already have?

No she isn't a greenlander. However she can wear greenlander items. Ka'lacgh Tribe is also part of the human "race" like the sub-race "Greenlander" so HN shouldn't accost her or call her a non-human. Any mod affecting greenlander bodies or faces will not affect her.

I'll look into it. I upgraded my CPU and motherboard and forgot to save my Kenshi stuff, so I'm starting from scratch, but I'll boot up the game and check it out.

Unfortunately the Holy Nation doesn't like anyone not of Greenlander or Scorchlander race. Aoife has a custom race, which makes her "non-human."

the character is great and i love her reactions to bandits and everything. i have ran into one small problem though. the holy nation dont like her. they refer to her as non human and will refuse to speak with her

It might be a good idea to have her spawn in a different town. A lot of mods modify the hub, so it's harder to preserve compatibility for this awesome companion

I liked the mod. Companion seems nice and I appreciate unique npcs.

My only gripe is that she starts with amazing gear and early game has equipment that is very powerful. Would possibly recommend a quest to recover her dads sword and stuff so she could start with normal gear.

Otherwise, good mod. I might just stuff her gear in a chest and take it out once ive killed the dust bandit king or somesuch.

Try disabling Enhanced Hub and recruiting Aoife, then enabling Enhanced Hub and importing the save. She should still be in the party and a duplicate Aoife won't spawn b/c of the new Hub, and it'll still be enhanced.

I did change her race to give her a bonus in armor and weaponsmithing. I just upped her smithing stats to make her comparable to other hired help. Hired Engineers have 50 in engineering, hired farmers have 50 in farming and so on. It incentives keeping her alive. She starts off very weak.

Can you actually give her a bonus to armor&weaponsmith instead of increased numbers? I think that would be best (if this is already done i am sorry did not check recently)

Yeah, I just ran a new game with all of the enchanced cities including hub and spawned in on the Hub. Aoife did not spawn. I believe that enhanced cities adds a new town in the data files and overwrides the vanilla "Hub". I have Aoife set to only spawn in the "Hub" data file. Since the "Hub" technically doesn't exist, she doesn't spawn in.

Hrmm, I've tried moving her up and down in the mod order. It appears I have a conflict somewhere. (likely enhanced cities - the hub)

So the trouble with the Hub is, they removed the large Bar in the back. As a result I've found recruits walk in and out more often and don't stay in the bar. The new bar is also right next to one of the enterances. As the Hub isn't that well defended Aoife may have been killed by starving bandits. If thats the case then you'll have to import.

If you've just spawned in to the Hub in a new game, give it a few seconds and hang by the bar. Aoife will always walk to the bar and stay there for a day or two. All the bar recruits AI's been modified with the update to leave the bar and come back, which is new.

Sorry everyone,
I haven't been able to do anything gaming related, including updating Aoife due to my hectic first semester of Law School.

Once I get back home to my desktop this thanksgiving break I'll fix any issues people have. Just leave any new issues you guys are facing in the comments below and I'll deal with them over the break.

Retraction of last post. I found her! She does walk to the bar I actually found her a bit away from the hub headed that way. I have a ton of mods laoded and she doesnt quite look the same but apprecieate the mod jsut the same, so far her dialog has been great. Keep up the good work.

I have done a couple of imports and still not seeing her. I have the mod as the last item in my list and I still cant get her to spawn. Where in the hub should she be? The bar or other I am using a hub redux but the shinobi and bar look to be the same. Thanks in advance for any help.

No idea why but the minor factions pacifier mod seems to turn Aoife's hair grey instead of Red.

@ScarabParamit True. I used to run Fallout 4 on 8 gigs of ram with a 6200 Graphics card. I understand whatcha saying. I just had to change my collection because I had 14 pages of mods that conflicted with eachother. Ego-Center approach? It's not a matter of having an ego. It's a matter of testing for me personally. That's all I do, while learning to mod this. I never said buy a new PC, please don't put words in my mouth. I'm a 38 yr old Navy vet who plays this for fun. My 15 yr old HP that died last month, could run this just fine. No upgrages. I was merely stating a fact. Putting words in my mouth will start an arguement tho.

It's alright, i get it...but why not choose one face and copy-pasta it and mention in credits, or even better make her unique by editing own variant out of it and distribute with Aoife...why we need to be forced to download whole pack for one texture?

Thats not an argument, and i didn't asked is it working or what you are using. If you didn't get it by your ego-center approach, i explain - i speak in the name of myself and others who find another 600MB+ pack a pain in state of Kenshi being so badly optimized. Not all of us have 16GB+ Ram and don't plan to upgrade for one game (while i heard even on monsters game run like drunken squirrel) ...but hay, someday more demanding games "will come across where you have to", so why don't you go now and buy new PC for no other reason.

I wanted Aoife to look a particular way and Faces Plus truly makes her unique. The whole point of removing the customization and implementing Faces Plus and personalized dialouge was so that she wouldn't be "a single NPC companion, that could go on with any other face."

I wanted her to be distinctive, so she'd stand out in the collection of companions that people acquire. Someone you'd keep on your main squad instead of shuffling her onto the auto-builders/workers.

I hope you understand the reasons why I'm keeping Faces Plus as a requirement, and if you wish to still mod Aoife feel free to, but please, once again, keep it for personal use and don't upload it anywhere.

Works perfectly fine with Faces Plus. Also use both addons as well. Other mods will come across where you have to use it as well.

All you would have to do...is a "Patch" "On Top / Bottom Of Load Order" that would change elements in your mod from Faces+ to something other.
It would be ultra small.
In truth, you shoul first make mods based on Vanilla, and then add such "addons" / "minipatchs" to use elements other mods bring in.

I'll look into creating an alternate version w/o it, but from my understanding, it would require starting from scratch (I.E. hand typing all of the text, recreating all the weapons and personalities.). If enough people feel like having Faces Plus is an issue I'll consider it.

If you do decide to modify Aoife, for personal use that's fine. I'd just ask you to please keep it for personal use and not upload it anywhere.

Could you please make an alt. ver without Faces Plus? For me its seems like a bad idea to force us to load additional 600mb of textures for a single NPC companion, that could go on with any other face.

If not can we get a permission to make such ver. and upload with your credits for those who don't feel like getting Faces Plus?

also dropping by to confirm and agree w/ @salvadore.I don't think faces+ is optional.. it's a must coz the game is crashing w/o faces+.
