I feel bad that I was slightly dissapointed, after playing as the Reapers the Rachni felt so lackluster and I was hoping to see them more insect-like because I'm looking for insect or bugs to play as a civ but no one has made one. I know this is hard work so I'm not gonna rant and I honestly appreciate the effort its great to live on snow tiles but the mod itself was kinda meh:steambored:

Do you think you could make new modles for the units? Make them more insect than human?
NateTheGreat142 4 Jun, 2015 @ 8:52pm
God, almost all the mods need either Gods and Kings, Brave New World, or both! i cri evrytiem
you 23 Apr, 2015 @ 6:25am
ok Thank you for the answer. and thank for all the mass effect mods
Pluvia  [author] 22 Apr, 2015 @ 2:51pm
@You - The coding for factories is different between G&K and BNW. I assume you want to adopt an idealogy, in which case there's a BNW version of all these mods and the Breeding Facility will allow you to do that there. Not being able to upgrade the Brood Warrior is intended.

Also sorry for the delay in responding, I was on holiday.
you 6 Apr, 2015 @ 11:12am
nice race, but the Breeding Facilit dont count as a factory and you cant upgeade the Brood Warrior. but i like the rachni
Pluvia  [author] 11 Mar, 2015 @ 7:56am
@Percival - Have you followed the step-by-step guide, specifically step 10?
Papa 10 Mar, 2015 @ 3:10pm
Not even after I turn them on.
Papa 10 Mar, 2015 @ 3:06pm
This mod won't work for some reason. I have all the DLC's for it?
Pluvia  [author] 21 Dec, 2014 @ 2:53am
@Virus - Yeah. It's because this is the G&K pack, you need the BNW pack if you want it to be fully compatible with BNW stuff.

Dont know if intended or not but having 3 "Factories" or Breeding Facs. wont trigger the ideology. Hitting the first tech in modern tech tree does though.
Pluvia  [author] 14 Dec, 2014 @ 2:18pm
@Jeffrey - Buy it on Steam.
jeffreyhopkins91 13 Dec, 2014 @ 6:36pm
how get gods and kings
Maximum Broly! 20 Oct, 2014 @ 12:05pm
Any chance of you making this for Beyond Earth?
ClanSpanker 11 Oct, 2014 @ 2:08pm
The breeding facility is not considered a factory for adopting ideologies. This means that the player must wait until he enters the modern era before they can adopt an ideology. I love this civ but that renders this mod almost unplayable. Seems like an easy fix but I'm not sure. Could you look into this please Pluvia?
Nightcrawler_K 29 Sep, 2014 @ 12:51pm
Might have removed it unintentionally then, but thought it best that you were aware just in case. Keep up the awesome work!
Pluvia  [author] 29 Sep, 2014 @ 9:45am
@KThompson77 - Thanks for the bug notification, but strangely that's not in my version. Went and checked, everythings fine.
Nightcrawler_K 28 Sep, 2014 @ 4:33pm
For the Rachni, in the unit xml coding there is a missing > at the end of the faith purchase statement, I do not know how it might affect the unit but in notepad++ at least it splits the sub group, which is why I noticed it.
Pluvia  [author] 28 Jun, 2014 @ 1:34am
@Goofy Janitor - Yes.
Goofy Janitor 27 Jun, 2014 @ 7:04pm
Is there a BnW version of this? :-)
Pluvia  [author] 7 Jan, 2014 @ 1:37pm

Who let the Rachni Queen live in both mass effect one and three?
(She is seen in 2 if you let her live in the first one, but it is only for a short conversation and nothing more important than a thank you.)
Pluvia  [author] 19 Dec, 2013 @ 1:42pm
UPDATE V.5 - Bug fix. All references to the Rachni Queen's gender will be correctly feminine.

Dear Pluvia, is it planned to add new units to the game, or mod the aspect of the current ones to fit the spicies from Mass Effect into Civ 5? I guess it would be a lot of work, but it would also be extremely awesome :)
Pluvia  [author] 16 Aug, 2013 @ 7:09pm
UPDATE V.4 - AI update. Flood Plains no longer gain extra food from The Great Song.

Remember not to update if you want to continue a saved game.
Pluvia  [author] 3 Aug, 2013 @ 10:49pm
@Mats - This is for G&K, not BNW.
Matsimann 3 Aug, 2013 @ 3:11pm
By the way, do you still get the extra Production that the Factory gets with the Breeding Facility? And I do hope that they count as regular factories for the purpose of founding an ideology in Brave New World.
Matsimann 3 Aug, 2013 @ 3:04pm
I suspect these would be stupidly OP if they managed to get Petra. 2 Food, 2 Production, 3 Gold and 1 Science with maxed out Trading Posts? Or 2 Food and 7 Production with Order Mines on desert hills? Or simply 4 Food and 2 Production with Farms on regular desert? Yeah, they sound like a better choice for a desert start than even the Moroccans.

intensekitty 15 Jul, 2013 @ 8:40pm
how about instead of having them gain an extra food and hammer per dester snow tiles you can usse BNW new trade route thing and make trade routes between there cities supply extra food and hammers? so they can stratigicly get a city in a low productive area up and running easier
Pluvia  [author] 11 Jul, 2013 @ 5:33am

@Tacoman - That is the Rachni Queen. If you killed her in ME1 it wont be.
tacoman73696 4 Jul, 2013 @ 5:06am
Is there any way for you to change the rachni queen's picture because the is, i believe she says she is a "monstrocity created to create hollow children, children that obey." And she clearly states "I am not queen, not pround Rachni.".
Pluvia  [author] 26 Jun, 2013 @ 2:09am
The Drell have been released.
IlMatteo 21 Jun, 2013 @ 3:41pm
After subscribing to the Systems Alliance mod and updating all the others, the Rachni disappeared clean off of my mod screen, but I was able to get it back by unsubscribing and resubscribing. Posting this to help anyone else who experiences it.
Pluvia  [author] 20 Jun, 2013 @ 12:24pm
To explain the update, the idea behind the Rachni is for them to survive, rather than thrive. With Gun and Archer units ignoring terrain it pretty much meant their trait had no drawbacks, not only could they survive anywhere, they could thrive everywhere. With these changes their trait will diminish as time goes by, which means that early game tactics will have to be used more to help them survive in the later game.
Pluvia  [author] 20 Jun, 2013 @ 12:13pm
UPDATE V.3 - Archer and Gun units no longer ignore terrain movement drawbacks.

Remember not to update if you want to continue a saved game.

The Systems Alliance have been released.
Pluvia  [author] 19 Jun, 2013 @ 11:13pm
@dam - Coincidently they've had nerfs planned for a while now. It will be getting rolled out shortly.
Shepard-Commander 17 Jun, 2013 @ 7:46pm
After 10 games with these ME civs, I found that the Rachni don't just win almost every game, but they usually win by a lot. In over half the games I've played they have gotten two eras ahead of everyone else and outscoring the second best civ by 500 points. I think it is because their troops ignore the terrain costs because they usually expand at an amazing rate. They have so many cities that their technology is amazing. One game I was lucky enough to be playing Cerberus, so I could steal a lot of their tech, but I simply could not keep up. They almost had a domination victory but they won with a science victory.
