I never had that issued before or anyone mentioned that. I never modified them at all. Seems odd though.

I got it working just fine, however, they're terribly quiet, I have tried voice_scale in console to increase their volume but it didn't work.

and the painful part is, after i figured it out i wanted to get the mods again

i forgot to mention, but i figured it out, you just have to brute force your way though reinstalling it. Delete all the survivor sound files, reinstall, verify, rebuild cache and then it returned to normal

Get the original voice back (hope you back it up or verify the files) and then type " snd_rebuildaudiocache" in the console.

For me, after getting the original voice back, when the characters got hurt the voice was the love live voice not original.

the modded voices are still playing allthough i deleted all the soundfiles and reinstaled twice

I'm really confused on what you are having trouble with.

"some sounds?" As in original? Make sure you delete the original folder with the sounds and replaced them.

Well, i did this, and some sounds still remain, i even went into the files and deleted every last soundfile from the survivors

Ohh yeah, and just as a note, i hate sharing a computer

go into game and type in the console snd_rebuildaudiocache

how do i replace these, i reinstalled, and unsubed but this hasent worked, all it did was make the voices play slower

when you subscirbe from the workshop, the addons will be in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\addons\workshop

There is a bunch of random numbers, just find it. I realized when I upload the mods from the gamemaps website and workshop, they are a bit different. The website had the folder with the files inside. The workshop only had the files. So just create a folder call "namvet" and put all the files inside of it.

For some reason i still cant find a file named "namvet" in the addons folder, after putting it though GCF, Any tips or ideas?

yes i went in the l4d1_dlc folder, and it wasent, there, i cant find it by putting all the files in GCF either, il look again, re-sub to the mod, ect

yeah, i was looking at the wrong ones, But i cant find bills, i have the umi mod downloaded, but there seams to be no file at all for bill, i would expect the file to be called solider or somthing, but it wasent even there to start with

You delete the original character voice files and then grab the new ones and replace it.

Once download, go into the game and have it installed.

You will need GCFscape for this.

The files will be in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\addons\workshop. It will give you a bunch of random numbers so just try to find it.

Once you find it, open GCFscape, drag the vpk file into GCFscape and it will decompile and give you the folder for the voice.

To replace the voice: (For l4d2 characters) (l4d1 characters will be in the dlc folders)

1. Go into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead
2\left4dead2\sound\player\survivor\voice

2. Delete the original voice folders and replace it with the new voice folders.

3. Go into l4d2 and open in the console and type "snd_rebuildaudiocache." It will take around 5mins or so to complete. Then just type "exit" in the console to exit the game.
