The mod linked requires a bunch of external libraries, one of which is completely broken. So yeah can we have an update or someone to update this while keeping it a standalone working mod?

Yes, the mod on this page is for an older version of the game and at this time is not being kept up to date. The comment just below yours, however, has a link to a community updated version that works for 1.1

Abner consider to add it on steam as well (as continued or unofficial) since original author is MIA for a long while. It's a great mod, more people should play it and not so many people checking this page I'm afraid :)

Based on comments on discord, it looks like PRF development is "on indefinite hiatus." I'm going to take a stab at updating it, but I don't really know what I'm doing, so no promises.

Somebody on Github offered $50 for Spdskatr to update it to 1.1, and as of now others have raised it to $200 total.

Any news on a 1.1 update without having to unnecessarily have to join a discord server ill never use? Already in too many as it is and can't keep track of them with my horrible memory so not adding another

Asking here probably won't help, try the dev discord linked in the description. Also, when it is out, it will also not be here most likely, since recent updates have been github only AFAIK

Oh, yeah the steam versions aren't really 1.0 compatible. Use github. If you're still having issues with the github release, then it's likely a mod conflict. For example, when I use the drone stations I get lag spikes any time a drone spawns, but that's because I have like a hundred mods including other drone stations from other mods that it may be conflicting with slightly, or maybe the pathfinding is just a little lag inducing with how many things I already have in map. Nvm, managed to fix the problem. Just use the latest version from GitHub (the Steam version is very outdated.) Seems to have solved the issue, for me atleast.

I have the same issue, but with storage crates as well. With the crates it's even worse though, because they move items between two cells that are right next to each other at extreme speeds, causing the debug log to show a bunch of errors from too many actions being done in one tick. I never used to have this problem, so it may just be newer versions of the game, or it may just be from all the mods I have active. I would like the cargo platform and storage crates to work, as they make storage much cheaper and less cluttered.

Or are you referring to an issue where pawns pick things up from a platform then immediately place them on the outer tiles of the platform? In which case I'd look at what other mods you are using and try disabling some to see what's conflicting.

That's it working as intended. If the items stayed on the spots they were placed you'd only be able to have 9 stacks in the cargo platform. This kinda exploits the system to allow infinite stacking on one tile.

This mod, and the update, has issues with the cargo platform. pawns keep grabbing items from the centre square, then placing them in the outer squares, which gets auto-reset to the centre. rinse and repeat. What is the issue at play here?

Could it be that "Seeds Please" doesn't work properly with the final version of RimFactory? I've got the one from Git, installed all modules and remember reading somewhere on the Ludeon forum something likt there is a built in compatibility. Now the cultivator do work fine, but they don't need seeds to plant anything (while the pawns still do).

Another thing is, as far as I remember the whole thing is set up to be used alongside the industrial rollers, right? So as the cultivators don't have an outgoing field (like the auto-cookers e.g.) i tried to use the growzone puller. Again, it works just fine, but especially on the edges the drones often put the harvested plants outside the growzone, so the puller doesn't pick them up. Maybe there is a solution aside from just building a wall?

Nope, thoses are working perfectly fine for me, just remember sometimes to clear the "dead paws" list with RuntimeGC mod, because it ramps up pretty quickly since each drone who return to station add up to that list, and it eat ram (and save size) like HELL, especially with all 3 drone station and a mining/paperclip factory colony ;)
Anyway RuntimeGC is a must-have mod in most situation.

I'll see if that works. Also, I assume drones will conflict with the What the Hack mod? Since it uses mechanoids that can be hacked and controlled.

Just dont try to select a drone, it will deactivate RimHUD, but if you do, no worries, just de-select the drone and re-enable it after, it wont cause any other problems

The mod is in dev, the release tho is on github, just DL the PRF-*.zip files (4 of them, core drone insanity & storage) and put them in the mod folder of your rimworld installation, just remember to activate them in the game menu.

At no point have I ever called github a cool site, nor will I ever because that's entirely subjective and irrelevant. Please stop trying to put words in my mouth. Where you in fact pulled this phrasing from is beyond my comprehension as to my knowledge no one in this comment section has called github a cool site in any sort of context besides yourself.

Hmm if I remember .... If we look back at your original post on why this is not on steam it was because you said the modder wanted people to pull it off the cool site ... I can't remember why you thought steam wasn't cool enough but .... it is what you said. It was the reason given to all of us. Not sure how pointing that out for others to see makes me a troll :)

You click the link, then click the appropriate download buttons. If you can't figure out that, how did you figure out steam's system? That said, the mod isn't on github because it's a 'cool site', it's on github because that's where it's being worked on, I assume.

This guy is an idiot thinking github is cooler when everyone comes here including rimworld who mainly uses this so all of his hard work is used by 12 people and no one is going to learn how to use a site to play a mod we are just lazy

The mod maker will not update steam because they want to force everyone to download on the "cool site" Github. :) ..... Steam is not cool enough to show off his work .... no he thinks it is cooler for you to go get mod somewhere else. haha

Is this ever going to get updated? I think it needs an update for better performance:

1) introduce smaller caretaker drone station with an adjustable area limit, so that the drones won't go crazy with its path finding to the other side of the map. (would be nice if it can be minified and installed elsewere) Also, make it so that the big drone station don't care about the area covered by smaller station.

2) add the option to forbid storage I/O unit, which again makes path finding for pawns a bit easier.

3) add an researchable option for the atomic constructor to be wirelessly refueled from a cargo storage, so I don't have to add a million I/O unit and fueling unit around the atomic constructors. The constant transport of paperclip to refueling unit gives some lag for me.

B19 and 1.0 are not the same thing. This b19 mod is confirmed to have some issues with 1.0. See the github link posted in comments below for the 1.0 version of the mod.

Since b19 and 1.0 are the same thing, this should work with 1.0, right? All the other b19 mods I've tried have.
