First I tried jetpacking onto the top of it, but the crate seems to be slippery and I couldn't manage it. I ghosted my way just above it and managed to attack just the crate, BUT then the death cache baggie dropped INSIDE the hive and was unreachable even in ghost mode. The only way to expose it for access was to destroy the hive, then it magically appeared.
Careless placement is, at the least, forcing people to cheat to gain access much of the time.
If at all possible, the mod should check for obstructions and fully avoid them.

scorched earth is a beautiful map and performs well
It works perfectly fine on Scorched Earth as it has plenty of SpawnContainers and spawners which are specifically bound to Scorched Earth.
Could you explain what the problem seems to be for you, and could you also check if any of your mods could be conflicting with spawns?
I recommend starting a single player map with JUST Supply Crates PRO on Scorched Earth and see whether or not you see broadcasts of crates spawning.

Jeff
yeah, that was me. they spawn at a regular rate on most of the map, but they spawn near uncontrollably on the surface, in older versions of the addon, the sheer quantity of blue beams of light would cut my FPS in half, lol
seem to work fine on literally every other map i've been on though, even the underground sections of Extinction
Interesting.
I remember somebody else coming up with the same problem on Abberation, and there I suggested to manually turn down the spawn weight and %chance in order to get it under control.
I will look through the Abberation spawn containers once more soon and see what might cause this.
Thanks for the feedback.

They shouldnt overspawn with their current SpawnContainer settings, but if they do it must be a map issue like Ragnarok has with its wyverns and the Center with its Squids.
So what I recommend doing is adding a custom line to ur .ini file in which u set ur own lines to masively decrease their numbers.
So the way you do this is just like any other dino is simply adding the tag and the spawn %chance and its weight.
Once u adjust that for ur map then everything will be fixed after a WildDinoWipe

I just checked the SpawnContainers for the Hope map and I can confirm that Supply Crates PRO is using 90% of the spawns Hope is using, so I can confirm that the Supply Creates WILL spawn without any issues on Hope.
For this question you should contact the creator of the Hope map and ask whether or not it supports the Primal Earth SpawnContainers or any of the other big maps.
If the answer is yes, then you can be sure that most spawns will be supported on it.
And to make it easy you could go into singleplayer on the Hope map and press TAB and type "fly" so you can fly around really quick, then you gotta keep an eye on the spawn messages appearing on top the screen when a Supply Crate spawns in.
Good luck,
Scrimshaws
Yes it does work BUT the DevKit doesnt support the Lost Island..yet.
But through doing some tests myself I found out that Lost Island does have some supported spawns for the crates.
So in the Lost Island map you will find the crates spawn in the Snow biomes, near the temple and in the northern part of the map.
As soon as the DevKit updates which allows me to add the Lost Island SpawnContainers I will immediately add them to ensure Supply Crates PRO has every spawn it needs.
So long story short: Yes it works, just a little bit less spawns compared to Island, Ragnarok, Center ETC ETC

Since the crates spawn alongside of the Wild dinos, you can control the spawnrate of them just like you can with any other dino by adjusting the spawn rate.
All you need is the ID for the creatures you want to change the spawn for and then simply add it to your ini file.

Have fun peeps!
This Mod will not replace any drops or crates from the default game, it will add a bunch of new self-spawning crates that spawn alongside of the wild dinosaurs with a massive loot-table and the loot itself is MUCH MUCH better compared to the sad default supply crates.
You will also find many blueprints that are incredible and some that are average, but usually you will not be disappointed and to find them you will have to explore.
Once you see a huge beam of light you head towards it, either let ur dino damage it or punch it and you will be able to loot the crate.
Best of luck!

Yes, the mod is fully compatible with single and multiplayer.
For single playeris simply means more crates for yourself ;)
The ones I see are from the map. The ones in this mod are blue and I need to hit them to get access but they don't appear for me on Scorched. It worked well on the Island and Center. I left the drop-related mods in the top three positions. They are: 1st - Supply Crates Pro, 2nd 3's Loot Crates and 3rd Deep Sea Loot Crates With Beams. All related to the drop and in this sequence. I'll stop using one to see if it works.
You are saying that you see supply crates on the map itself?
If so, thats a good indication and incase you did not know, you have to punch/damage the crate once in order to loot it.
As far as I am aware there are no mods that conflict with the Supply Creates.
If you do use a core mod on your world (meaning they have to be loaded first to properly work) please make sure to put Supply Crates 2nd to load.

Scrimshaws
Have you tried puting it up high in the mod loading order?
I personally never had any issues in regards of making it work as it should but loading orders for mods that spawn entities (in this case the crates) tend to work optimal when its higher up the list.
So far I have not encountered any other mods conflicting or preventing spawn and since they share spawn with regular dinos double check whether or not they are spawning on your map.
Let me know how this goes and best of luck.

Kill at a certain distance?
Thanks for your nice answer. We are using Simple Spawner Mod to create 25 randomly placed of your Supply Crates and turned off the automatic spawn of yours. So we have now 25 of these scattered all around the map. The goal is to find all 25. :) And the loot is a real reward!
At the moment the beam is okay since the render distance is not that far, but it would be more fun if it could be turned off. However, being a programmer myself I understand that it might be not easy. I never used the Ark Dev kit so far because of lack of time.
I need to say, that your Supply Crate is a "dino" is what it makes it possible that we can use it like this because it stays even though the server is restarted and nothing except for the player can destroy it.
Great work, great idea. Thank you for that.
The beam is implemented as a permanent particle, there currently is no way to turn off the beam, really nice to actually organize a treasure hunt ;) must be really fun, Ill keep the idea in my mind to add a toggle for the beam but it might be difficult to pull off since the crates share similarities of dinos and each of the crates is unique, so I cannot promise anything as of yet.

Scrimshaws
Yes, they do auto-loot, unless you have more than 50% weigth on your character, only then you need to manually loot it yourself.
If for example you hit it with your mount or punch it and you or the dino has less than 50% weight it will transfer right into the inventory.
Hope this makes sense,

Scrimshaws
