No problem. I have moved on from Empyrion already. After multiple restarts, either from updates or switching servers, I have found that once you hit Lvl 25, and have a CV, a fully funtional base and all. The game just gets old. Same few planets, same few inviroments. I may revisit it later when it has some new content added. Thanks.

Thank you GrassWeasel!
Sorry for a late answer,
there are Switches for the Constructors, Food Processor, (to-be-installed) Repair Station, (to-be-installed) Repair Bay, Gravity Generator und the ("hidden") Floor Shutter door, the Main Engine Power Switch at the Pilot chair and the Lights Switch above.
Hope that helps :-)

Problem is, will I ever find enough gold to make the drills for it? I've not left the starter system yet waiting on a friend to pull the trigger on buying the game. Stocking it while i wait. So maybe there is gold out there somewhere. Nice build, handels real nice. Don't know how you builders do it takes me forever to piece the jigsaw back together when i break pieces off...lol.. I have not figured out all the switches yet. Just found out by reading one was for the doors under the storage. I was able to put an MX-18 on the pad. I see it being my main CV for quite awhile.

Either way, rucky, I like the design. How long did it take you?

Really nice build! Thanks for sharing.

I love this game, but naming a large space miner Orion... lol... Star Citizen's large scale space miner is also named the Orion...

@SirGrims, thanx and yes, that was the plan here, to get a full mobile Base with Mining equipment in an as small (front profile) as possible ship to make Asteroid Mining as easy (and enjoyable) as possible.

F.e. My IRON HAWK or the not yet released CONDOR (size between ORION and IRON HAWK) both can have Mining Lasers attached, are bigger/wider, have way more Room (especially Hangar-Space!!), but aren't as easy to manoever around Asteroids even if their Stats are very similar!
But perhaps these Ships are better for you? You should have a look! ;-)
Morgan 27 Jun, 2018 @ 10:19am
everything was just to packed into a small space, if the ship was wider and a bit more oragnized i think it would be better, but other then that great ship

Shit, this brings back memories. A cartoon from my childhood - Saber rider and the star sheriffs. This CV somehow reminds me of the Ramrod. Even though after reminding myself how it actually looked through google - it was much flatter:MrTree:

nice, one of the trolls now has a name. second account from a well know builder or a own guy with a good trained brain?
rucky  [author] 24 Jun, 2018 @ 11:31pm
oh that troll again.
You've seen there is only a cannon turret on it, right?
and this build is way different from the Challenger Series.
But when you talk about the Difference to the Level 25 Version,
Now, that's exactly that, this one is the Level 10 without Z&E ressources and less weapons,
so you can spawn it earlier in your Game and build it up ingame -OR-
You have alreadly Level 25 and the Ressources so you can spawn in the MAX Version already.
Even you friend XCal, JRandal and other do have that.
But some people will never learn.

The only guy that can slap a few guns on and call it a new build

Wow, nice little ship Rucky!
rucky  [author] 24 Jun, 2018 @ 1:06am
added some ingame mining pics at the L25 version ;-)
and found a small O2 problem - the problem with voxel "blocks"...
fixed now.
rucky  [author] 24 Jun, 2018 @ 12:49am
Yes, this time (and at the Challengers) I choosed to do so. I wanted a very slick, compact, small profile Ship, which is usable early on as a Mobile Base, and later (when you already have good Armor/Boosters) as Miner. On hazardous Planets you can mine with your Drone through the "hidden" Floor-ShutterDoor ;-)

I do see that "problem" but on the other side, you won't be effected by whatever hazardous Elements are out there in these few seconds you need from jumping out of cockpit, running to the roof door and sliding in ;-) or the other way around ;-)

9 Plots are enough for 18 Energy Bars / Juices, not good as a Diet, but you won't starve at least.
(I know, for more variety / meds etc you need atleast double or tripple the amount - but that's where later ingame your bigger Ships and/or Bases are for.)
Vulpis 23 Jun, 2018 @ 11:41pm
Hmm. So the main docking for SVs is external, rather than a bay? That can be a problem on the more hazardous planets. That and the measly number of growing plots are the only potential problems I can see with this..otherwise, nice design!

Man muss einige POI dafür knacken, um das Mat zu bekommen am Anfang, aber diese modulare Erweiterungsmöglichkeit klingt interessant +1

Another amazing build. This ship is so versatile. I love how it starts off cheap and is designed for upgrades. My son, who is very picky about flight performance, loves your Drone Hunter SV. Great job and thanks for sharing.
