@Xa'larak Unfortunately Saint_Michaels_'s data mod doesn't have Italians as independent. Any changes made to them would affect all European civilizations.

Can you make this mod work for Italians too ? I love the italian style building, not the byzantine one :(

@COMBATKING I'm not sure what you're asking. There's no way not to use the "Independent Architecture with Units for 5.7" data mod if that's what you mean.

is there a pack like this but usable with just iu and not the ia?

@Hipepes "Open directory" then resources -> common -> slp, then the five files for the cataphract will be at the very bottom. They're the only files with names instead of just numbers. Delete those five files and he will be back to default.

How can i change back to the orignal cataphract skin???

I see there are a lot of mods converting the game's units and buildings to classical age graphics, but there is not a single mod who changes non-medieval units like the Legionary, Centurion and Heavy Swordsman into medieval units, you know, for those of us who want to play AoEII in the timeframe it was supposed to be played.

Great work as always! :) Do you mind if I ask you for a request? I know you finally didn't put the camels from AoE for Byzantines because they were smaller than they should be. But I still thinking they don't look so bad. Would you post them as optional in a similar way to the female warrior? Thank you!

Perfection. <3

To be frank, I'm mostly just kinda' salty since you were originally against the idea when me and another guy suggested using the centurion as part of the cavalry line. It's fine though, honestly. I just get buttmad when people disagree with me. :steamsalty:

Anyways, you should leave it as the original and link to SpaceDundee's (I think) standalone upload of Jorgito's Cataphract skin. AFAIK unique units still work like they originally do so it should work. Also, I have a suggestion:

If it isn't too much work, you might upload a version of IU that accounts for people using Jorgito's unique unit skins. You wouldn't have to worry about people confusing certain units with the original unique units anymore if they were different. Since the unique units would be over-written with Jorgito's skins, you could use the original skins if you got desperate. It would be pretty beneficial for situations like how the New World's Arbalest looks aesthetically stronger than the original plumed archer

@WeAreGoyim I really don't think I should, but at least in this case I'm using it as the unit it's intended to be. Do you think I should leave it out and just leave people with a default cataphract that looks super similar to the cavalier and tell people to sub to it separately?
MisterLean 21 Jun, 2018 @ 8:41pm
okay, hold on a minute

I thought that you weren't okay with using Jorgito's unique units as replacements for base game unique units. What gives?

Wow, looks good!
