The game codes events with a sort of "use image x", many anomalies and events may use 'image x'. And so if I replace 'image x' with the ship image you are referring to (there are multiple in general), the it will appear for all of the events and anomalies that use 'image x'. The only way to vary the usage of the picture would be to edit an event / anomaly to say "use image z", which would make the edit non-achievement compatible.
tl;dr -- no, would need to edit the events / anomalies themselves to get more varied images
