I'm actually a really big fan of the Marine Corps (One Uncle is currently serving and another is an OIF vet) I myself will enter OCS after I finish college. and yes, they're the toughest guys on the world. No doubt about that. Thanks for the info too. Ooh-rah!
The Airforce was a branch of the Army, yes, but the Marines were the amphipious assault men for the Navy, then branched off to form their own branch, the Marine Corps, and creating a reputation for skill and fearlessness. The Marine Corps is its own branch, but once was part of the Navy, so for the most part everyones right (exept toxic, who's completly wrong, and Kammanda, who is completly right)
The Marines ain't part of the army...
