What is the difference between this addon and the Black Mesa one? All I noticed was that the sound quality is more... f'ed up, so to speak.

Is there a comparison video or something? Some people in the comments saying the retail version sounds bad but they use the lines from half life, some of the beeps and similar sounds have been redone though.

Thank God. I can't stand the new voice they use in the retail version. I don't understand how any sane person thought that was a good idea. So glad to get rid of it.
