I enjoy much more quiet world and some of my favourite spiders in game.
Non-spider-only version incoming this weekend! It'll be a mantis/leafbug update :) Should be updated this Sunday at the latest, but hopefully earlier if I have time.
@Crimson rats soon! Bugs first :3 I may throw in a rodent for your trouble though, if I have time~
@Daytimebaton39 Okay, tell me your process for how you downloaded it, if you wouldn't mind? You subscribed to the mod, then went to the Staxel page in your library, clicked on the Play button, and then selected the third of the four options that come up in order to update/install your mods, right?
@cey and @ColbyWolf and @Arbutus Thanks so much! I hope you like the next little guys I add in!
@Naii Elyuex More than just flashbacks for you soon rofl
If you guys wanna join me at all for funsies/updates/to make suggestions, feel free to bother me at this discord if you have it:

Again, lovely little mod, just a headsup that it's mostly spiders atm. ^^ Would adore a non-spider version in the future if you finish it! Thank you again for your modding work.
Sorry for disappearing on you guys. Got insanely sick (MS diagnosis, awesome) and my cat knocked a glass of tea into my computer. Oofsville. But it's alive again after replacing some parts, and I can see about making some more bugs for this/adding in the ones I finished but couldn't upload due to lack of a computer!
So... unless you REALLY LIKE spiders, maybe this isn't right for you. I wish they'd added the rest of the things. I really liked the little trapdoor spider. it was my favorite. But some of the models mad me fear for my villagers' lives.
This game doesn't get enough love and the modders in the community are awesome. <3
So much love
i hate spiders
-I can't tell if it was just me, but I think the spawn rate was heavily geared towards the spiders. I can't tell if this is actually a thing that's effected or even changable, but I swear 90% of what I was finding was this mod's bugs LOL.. And they are EVERYWHERE.
- I'd loooove to see more variety other than just arachnids. I know you said you are planning to add a lot more, but if I may suggest a few in mind: Cicadas, wasps, pill bugs (maybe they hide out near rocks?) sand crabs (hide out on beaches) and maybe birds?
-It would be really cool to see some biome variation! Like certain bugs only spawning in certain biomes. I'm actually not sure if this is possible BUT if it is, that'd be really cool to see!
I am already working on the next update for this mod, which will be covering mantises, walking sticks, and leaf bugs. I still have to go through beetles, butterflies, ants/wasps/bees, the millipede/centipede/pill bug family, and then there are crabs and hermit crabs for the beaches. Trust me, there will be *plenty* to discover!
I'm also thinking about doing a fantasy based "bug" collecting mod, so stay tuned for that!
I'll also take another peek at the black widow. It looked good to me based on the images I was looking at, but if its bugging people I'll see about editing it.
I don't know how the game breaks down it's biomes/areas/etc. but it would be interesting to see worms, catepillars etc in garden areas, snakes and lizards, and birds (I know there is another mod but feels incomplete).
