Played again after three years! Still fun!! I did not need the orange tractor beam to extract the sphere. I just waited for it roll out of the exit chamber. Thanks for your work!

Good looking chamber. Not that hard.

Nice fun chamber! Thanks!

I enjoyed solving your best. It looks great. I like the added elements you used for window dressing. The puzzle is not too difficult but requires some thinking so it's a good one. Thank you for the effort you put in.
I'm pleased to offer you my Not Another Laser Puzzle If you have some time.

It is quite easy, but the room is genius! I really liked the use of the laser-acceptor as a holding device for the ball. That is so creative. Really fantastic. I have never seen that ever before. Also the water-bounce faith plate. It is simple, it is useless, but it is unique. really excellent job!

Nice chamber, but fairly easy. Thumbs Up!

At first I thought the solution was too easy, but it has a little twist that adds a bit of complexity. I like that.

You seem to like red herrings in your design: devices that look like they're part of the challenge but are really just window dressing. This is not the first time that's shown up.

Aesthetically, I really liked all the clear glass and minimalist design of this map.

simple and smart. good one!

This test took me about three hours to make. Most of that time was spent planning and drawing rough sketches of the map, not acually building the test on the editor. All of the ideas in this map are my own.

interesting casual stage. a couple of (in my opinion) novel ideas for not getting super deep into stage building, so congrats on that, wether you personally thought outside the box or got your ideas from someone else, it was nice.

Thanks, but too easy.

I just want to say that I disagree with Punchup's objection to reduntant elements when they clearly serve a decorative purpose. As long as there is no attempt to trick you into thinking that something is needed to solve the puzzle, it's good to have things that just enhance the environment. I liked the cleansing gel bouncing off the faith plate in this chamber.
austinzolo 13 May, 2013 @ 2:42pm
How did you get the cameras at the doors?
多崎つくる 11 May, 2013 @ 11:47pm
Nice chamber, but I have two complaints:
1. The cleansing gel bouncing off the faith plate. I find it redundant, and I believe all tests shoould be sculpted down to their most essential parts.. Although it is obviously an aesthetic choice, so it's not really a big deal.
2. I don't know if I solved it the way you intended, but after placing the edgeless safety cube on its proper mount, I was surprised to find it destroyed after I replaced the cube. So, after I figured out the real solution, GlaDOS' line repeated itself when I placed the saftey cube for the second time. Is there any way that you could make it so she only says her line one time?
austinzolo 10 May, 2013 @ 8:15pm
I like the creativity of the chamber, and how you need to check the whole place out to get the test. I used to think the cleansing gel was just water, but that faith plate proved otherwise.

I enjoyed that, nice work, thank you :-)

What you say is true, except that the "perfect test" is different for different players. I enjoy really difficult tests that require careful thought to solve problems, such as those by Mevious, but not really difficult tests that require cutting-edge jumping and flinging skills. There seem to be a lot of people who don't like difficult tests at all and vote them down. This has nothing to do with my comment, which was that I (personally) found this test in all ways inferior to many of your others. If you are not interested in my comment, you are welcome to ignore it.
Spectro  [author] 10 May, 2013 @ 7:25am
Bayram: The "perfect test" is one that is not too easy that you can simply walk through it, yet not too hard so it is not frustrating to the player. Finding the balence between these can be difficult. I think this test best fits those requirements from my other tests. However, there will always be those who find this test harder or easier than the average, which is out of my control. Really difficult tests are not fun, just frustrating.
Bayram 10 May, 2013 @ 7:03am
Well, I found this to be extremely easy and barely worth playing, far from your "best test so far". But, I don't want to affect your rating, so no vote either way.

If anyone wants to play a chamber that really is quite difficult, please try my "The Oubliette":
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=140319013 . It has an escape theme, and although started in PuzzleMaker it has Hammer improvements in the dungeon. Please don't rate it thumbs down just because you can't complete it ... I'm warning you that it is quite difficult, requires skill and quick thinking to get through the traps.

i like this. its beautiful and not too hard to solve. i also like the glados voice you put at that end, it was a nice touch and made me chuckle. good map overall
Andi 9 May, 2013 @ 12:31pm
Nice map, that was fun to play. Didn't know you could bounce gel off of a arial faith plate... why is it there anyway?

Would you mind trying my newest chamber?

Nice Map , I like that except for edgless safrty cube holder and Glados voice it looks doable in basic editor. @wildgoosespeeder the cleansing Gel is part of the Zen like a foutain or Japanese Meditation Garden. Was not too hard just nice. Nice environment.

I've recorded a session of playing through some of the maps from the workshop front page. Yours was among them (skip to 23:40): http://youtu.be/UxHlXm6ZnOc

Interesting look. Also why is the cleansing gel there?
Chazz the Elder 5 May, 2013 @ 4:54pm
Zen is the appropriate name for this chamber. Simple, pleasing to the senses... and reasonably easily solvable when you get the key.
Kat 5 May, 2013 @ 10:31am
Nice touch in adding the laser catcher so the sphere doesn't roll around.
Stagger Lee 4 May, 2013 @ 8:40pm
Nice design and layout. Thumbs up.
timothy.cizadlo 4 May, 2013 @ 4:40pm
And I just found the solution.
Spectro  [author] 4 May, 2013 @ 4:40pm
There is a solution
timothy.cizadlo 4 May, 2013 @ 4:19pm
After I drop the cube into the receptical, I lose the sphere, leaving no solution.
Asderios 3 May, 2013 @ 9:32pm
Aesthetically pleasing, but easy.
