In case there are non-terrain graphics changed - shouldn't be the case with this pack - but I would have to redownload it right now to be sure^^ - before verifying, delete your AoE\data\slp folder.
This is for most modded stuff in AoE is done by adding new files, but HiddenPath didn't implement anything to get rif of additional content automatically.
That way you can handle your own mod mix with just one click.
But you can subscribe to any other water mod after this mod, resulting in this mods land terrain, but other water terrains ingame.
As steam sometimes messes up your mods, the safest way ist to verify your game cache and then subscribe to both mods.
(Have you also had a look at my other texture packs? I've published a 'few' more. :) )

Found out why you can see the default mines behind every modded ones until now. The game contains shadow graphics for the mines showing the mines themselve.
So V3 containes updated shadows too...
While I theoretically know how updating seems to should work - it doesn't function for my textures while mines an preview picks were no problem.
After updating - the mod contains exactly the same data as before though it claims to have successfully done the job.
Very frustrating! Made a request for the support but if anyone knows a solution - please tell me!
And since updating mods works on my site I think I will do so with smaller texture files for this one too at the weekend.
I got an answer from HiddenPath regarding the use of texture mods.
"There is no pre-match game data compatibility enforcement. As long as a game data mod does not affect gameplay then they will have no problem using it.
If a mod changes something like ‘archer attack speed’ and the mod is not installed by every player then it will cause game to eventually go out of sync."
Seems the problem lies somewhere else or they don't know this themselves. Think I have to disabuse them in that case...
I tested around a little bit with that last night and today but until now the results were not satisfying. But I'll keep it up. Hope I get good results at the weekend.
Regarding the units - I have tested around with units and buildings a little bit the last days - technically it would be no problem. Finding good graphics instead is^^ - can't draw them on my own withoutout any base. But never say never. If I find a way I definitly would start an attempt doing it.
Do you do unit textures as well? The paladin needs some lovins!
P.S. Thanks for the quick reply back!
I don't know exactly as I havn't testet it yet in multiplayer.
But because of the fact, that (as I just read) 'game data' modifications only work in MP if all players have subscribed to this mod - and there is no option to mark a mod as 'texture' but only as map script, scenario, AI, game data etc...
Not knowing this fact I released my textures as 'game data'. Would change that, but currently I have error 9 every time I try to upload one of my mods.
So if no one can tell a different thing, it might be, all people playing the same multiplayer session have to use the same texture mods? I will ask the support. That would be really strange. A texture mod isn't that uncommon - it's unbelievable they made this impossible...

It's also smaller (5 MB for all) so there will be eben lesser stutters in big multiplayer session if you should have experienced such.
New Textures for Buildings and Units would be great and I did some tests with that the last days.
It is possible but finding good textures is not that easy and I myself aren't talented enough to create completely new ones for that.
But how knows what mods there are to come in the future.
No its 12 MB.
Thanks for the mod, the game looks ok as is but a little visual polish would be nice.
The ice texture was one of the hardest ones to create. Several ones that looked better taken for their own, looked false with one of the other textures in conjunction.
This texture, especially after underlaying it with the structure of my water textures, was the one that looked best in every terrain formation.
But it has one of the most noticable tilling effects besides the water I think, what really is a drawback.
So the ice could be one of the things that I will focus on in the near future - depending on time left beside other optimizations I'm planing/doing right now.
GREAT WORK :-)
But there are several other great texture packs out there. Just find the right one for you and enjoy gaming.

For the other textures - problem is some of the merged graphics don't blend well less sharpen (they often look false - especially if the sharrpness of the originals differ), and only smoothing the textures out of this pack easily results in blurry textures which no one wants I asume.
