I'm trying to play the campaing but the first mission is a failure as the tanker is missing. So it can;t manuver and tryign to zoom in on it automaticaly fails the mission.

It's a pitty as there are too few campaings out there and this one looks very interesting.

I don't think a few tries is a lot in this game, where finding the right approach and designs for it is the main challenge. I also don't think stock designs are very good - they seem like very conservative extrapolation of existing (mostly naval) tech into space - you can easily thrash them even with just stock modules (which is an exercise I recommend as it helps you learn to gain upper hand through tactics and ship design without simply having superior tech).

yeah, there is issues with this, it was mostly a test to see if the campaign editor actually works, you must be far more skilled at flying ships than me beacuse while I could defeat all the levels eventually, it occasionally took a few tries.

Finally, sign your modules - the workshop has enough dependency issues as it is.

I think CDE really needs more campaigns, but I at least had tons of issues getting your stuff to work (which might explain low interest). Maybe try to redo your campaigns to progress from stock ships only, through stock module custom ships to increasingly sophisticated custom module designs between installments? It would help isolate the problems as they appear and, as a bonus, show that R&D divisions of the sides in your campaign don't sit twiddling their thumbs.

Also, it would be nice to already start from something challenging for a person who finished the vanilla camapign. Trashing stock ships with advanced designs is hardly rewarding - with manual controls I can blow even relatively ok stock designs (like gunship) 10:1 in direct combat using comparable budget and tonnage ship without even needing any non-stock modules - with custom modules and long range missile/drone spam it no longer even counts as a battle - it's an orbital skeet shooting exercise at best.

Would anyone like to see a chapter 4? or should I focus on ship building?
