WARNING: Development of this MOD has ceased and it is not up to date with the current version of the game. If you are a MODDER and would like to continue making this mod better/fixing issues, please do so, as you have my permission.

WARNING PART2: Hello to all MOD users, if you are using this mod then you hopefully looked at the last time I updated it... almost 3 years ago... i.e IT IS NOT UP TO DATE....and I have no plans to update it currently. I have not played nor modded Torchlight 2 in all this time, and none of my mods are up to date as the game as been patched many times since I last modded it.. so yes its very possible this mod, and my other mods dont work anymore.

Sorry but please use common sense, and look at when a mod was last updated before attempting its use. The mod is still here and posted so that if someone wanted to update it/make it better or merge it into a compiliation after fixing said issues, they can and have my permission to do so. Good Luck.

I can not get your mod working anymore. I have it loaded and top priority but I am not seeing it in game during diffuclty select
nico_posada31 3 Mar, 2015 @ 8:13pm
How does the level cap increase work exactly within the context of synergies?
freyja 27 Oct, 2014 @ 10:46pm
Forgot I had this installed when I started a new elite game, and was wondering why I'd died 120+ times in the starting area. Oops.
HAKU 27 Jun, 2014 @ 11:24pm
There should be a way to change difficulty at any time included.
Philis 24 Apr, 2014 @ 12:38pm
Finally, I can play something instead of Elite Hardcore Mode, and make it Apocalypse Elite with HardcoreMode heheh
Rooksama 13 Apr, 2014 @ 8:24pm
I would like to add some challenge when fighting but this is slightly more then i need, if your willing to scale down the difficulties by like 15-20% and remove everything else i can add this to LeSquishy's TL2, message me and we will talk if your interested :)

Could you possibly have an alternate version without the level cap increase? I came here for dificulty not to be pampered
boundlesshero 13 Jan, 2014 @ 9:03pm
Alright, so can you add an optiontal mod for the monsters to have added elemental resistances? It seems like magic is just way stronger then anything else, so it is pointless to do anything but play a mage and cast spells.
Ryoma 22 Sep, 2013 @ 12:38am
How did you change the level cap? I'm trying to reduce it back to 100 but i just can't seem to find it anywhere
Miniewee 21 Aug, 2013 @ 4:17pm
How To Download it?Can I play it without Steamversion?
drycows 7 Aug, 2013 @ 3:30pm
Outlander is almost unplayable with this mod >.<
Alphametric 30 Jul, 2013 @ 9:17am
can you make a version where lvl and fame hasnt been touched??
RowdyRetroMoose 25 Jul, 2013 @ 9:55am
Just curious, as far as mod load order goes, should this generally go before or after the SynergiesMOD? Also have Torchlight 2 essentials but I put that after them anyway.
Its Pixie! 22 Jul, 2013 @ 4:40pm
how can you tell if this mods working? i dont see any difference, and am able to play on elite solo....which it says i shouldnt be able to, so like....does it SHOW the 4 new difficulties? or does it just replace the originals?
viice 22 Jul, 2013 @ 3:27am
okey i read trough the description becouse im a idiot that cant read, so i change my question how do i do to just have it harder no change in exp, gold or magic find and i rather just have the level cap to 100 so i can raid with my friends.
viice 22 Jul, 2013 @ 3:23am
what should i do if i want the regular exp rate?
Look Frodo, Poni! 10 Jul, 2013 @ 1:51pm
"This is Apocalypse. You are playing on too hard of a difficulty.. Please read the description." We are playing on normal which is what it says is recommended for 2-3 players but my problem was that lets say grell i was stacking armor 3 levels above grell and i had put almost all my point into vitality at this point my friend was a noxmer completely dps i had around 4k health and 250 physical armor and between 100-200 on all other armors and he was still doing around 70k-100k damage to me, that was grell i can understand a boss doing that but heroes and champions 5 levels under me were still doing 5k-20k damage to me still 1 shotting me. I have read all comments and all the desc of the mod however i have tried putting it on casual and rerolling the world [assuming that will help] and they were still 1 shotting me. So my question is on normal and casual with the stats i gave above should level 10 champions and heroes be able to 1 shot me at level 15 with those stats?
UUChisato 10 Jul, 2013 @ 12:16am
@DraconiusKnight
Please notice that right now the flat damage skill and DOT is kind of OP compared to the weapon DPS skill when I play the Apocalypse and Synergies together. Also with your Power Pack.
Night Writer  [author] 9 Jul, 2013 @ 10:27pm
This is Apocalypse. You are playing on too hard of a difficulty.. Please read the description.
Look Frodo, Poni! 8 Jul, 2013 @ 7:41pm
Im wondering if this is normal for this mod combined with synergies [me and a friend are using the synergies choice playlist thing] im playing a kensei hes playing a noxmer and we are level 15 and getting 1 shot by almost all heroes and bosses, is this normal or is some other mod causing this?
Drakonaas 4 Jul, 2013 @ 9:01pm
once you get past level 100 you need to do lan becouse the level cap on the multiplayer finder is 100 so long ditance wont cut from then on :(
UUChisato 20 Jun, 2013 @ 10:40pm
Thanks I love this mod
I play your mod and synergies together and put your mod upon the synergies
In my modded game the static damage skilll and DOT get dramatically enhanced while the weapon DPS skill% still stay the same
I am not sure if you also put any ultra gems or items in the mod
Right now I just turned all my charaters into DOT stack builds
jthamind 8 Jun, 2013 @ 4:31pm
hi, i have a question about hardcore mode, and i didn't see it addressed in your description. if someone installs this mod, can they still play any of your difficulties in hardcore mode, where death is permanent? or is your mod automatically in hardcore? just curious, because even though your mod seems like it would honestly be too difficult to play on hardcore, i just wanted to know what my options are before checking it out. thanks. :)
Night Writer  [author] 31 May, 2013 @ 9:01pm
@Ager, sorry to tell you this but you've got something going on with another mod. This mod does not alter fumble chances in any of it's files in any way. I have also not only created at least 5 characters while using the Apocalypse Mod, but have brought in at least 4 of my old characters which range from levels 15-50 and have not seen any increased fumbles. What you are most likely seeing is a monsters health bar not going down, because you are not geared and skilled up for Armor reduction and mitigation, which means you aren't breaking through that monsters armor yet. The reason that spells damage instantly is because they bypass physical armor completely. You need to use skills which damage armor directly or reduce it per hit, or weapons that have alot of elemental damage.
PyroPaul 30 May, 2013 @ 12:40pm
It seems every character i've brought into this mod above the level 20 fumbles near constantly making it impossible for me to rely on anything outside of high damaging spells. I've made a handful of characters with the mod active and it seems like it doesn't effect them, but those made outside it just fumble with every swing and shot.
N3wg1rl 25 May, 2013 @ 1:47am
You have a really great mod we love it except for one thing..... once you go above 101 you cannot play with your friends anytmore if you leave the game cause the cap for multi finder is 100
jimmywolf 23 May, 2013 @ 6:47am
been playing solo eltie wondering why i kept getting one shoted now i know lol fyi made it too level 48 solo :) thu been a painful fun time
scout 18 May, 2013 @ 11:50am
ah ok this is my first time kind of playing so.. hah i "think" it's turned on.. the very first mobs have like 70ish hp on casual mode.. i think they had that before on like veteran or normal
Night Writer  [author] 18 May, 2013 @ 11:39am
@Я люблю датские продукты

No they are not different in the menu, they still show as Casual Normal Veteran and Elite. but if you have the Apocalypse Mod Acitvated, which ever selection you make will be much more Difficult.
scout 18 May, 2013 @ 8:25am
On the main menu when creating a character should the difficulty levels say they are different?Mine just say casual, normal etc like normal D:
DimensionalWizard 15 May, 2013 @ 11:33pm
Hello,

Would it be possible for you to make a non-steam version of this mod? I'd like to try it out.
Thank you.
Salan 12 May, 2013 @ 11:03am
we should talk on my forum, you have an account there btw
Salan 12 May, 2013 @ 11:02am
Drac the FAME, its likely you are just using a different fame xp rate so that when someone goes from synergies at 5mil fame and like fame level 35 they go to 5mil fame and level 60 with you.. as they jump those different levels they gain all those extra points because of the difference in when fame starts between synergies and your mod. In the end if you want it to be compatible you MIGHT want to use the same graph from synergies and just rename the ones that are there ... also the 50 pnts is pretty balanced over all.
Salan 12 May, 2013 @ 11:00am
i see your ideal on the MP, that is a good point too. How many people will actually BE ABLE to do that thou, too many restrictions with the mod limit and mod forcing.
Salan 12 May, 2013 @ 10:59am
oh no leave the damage and armor, its just what I found with the game when you have to high health you cause bloating. The danger and damage out put is good, but the time it takes to kill something makes it boring as its no more challenge with more or less health eitherway.
Night Writer  [author] 11 May, 2013 @ 10:01pm
@ Salan, i'm thinking these Numbers>>

Apocalypse Casual and Normal Stays how it is.
Reduce Veteran down from 5 x to 3x and Elite from 6x to 4x.
This will reduce everything across the board, for Health, Damage, Armor, in those last two tiers.
Night Writer  [author] 11 May, 2013 @ 9:58pm
@ Salan, I'm guessing your talking about Elite, yeah some folks who have tried Elite say that it takes too long to take things down, but Honestly I was hoping that that Difficulty would be saved for 6-8 player Multiplayer where this wouldn't be an issue. Honestly for single player Normal Difficulty Apocalypse is the sweet spot, for real challenge. I will need to revise the numbers across the board by reducing armor, and Health but possibly increasing damage slightly. I think the real issue could be Armor as this is preventing players from even being able to break through to the health and widdle things down faster, But I will be going back through the numbers a little later.
Night Writer  [author] 11 May, 2013 @ 9:58pm
I noticed the fame tiers are not jumping correctly, and skipping several tiers when Gaining more fame. There is something coded elsewhere than in the stat lines that has precedence over the stat lines rules even though I went through everything that has to do with Fame that I could find. I will need to revise this shortly and figure out what is causing the huge jumps.

Salan 11 May, 2013 @ 6:16pm
BTW drac, one thing you could consider the health bonus not being as high in the last tier... the health bonus gets a bit bloated and more annoying them helpful.
Salan 11 May, 2013 @ 4:45pm
Facelock I'm sure we COULD add another, but this is a smarter idea, its 'less' work and its a sure way to make it work. I can't speak for the balance of apocolypse mod completely, but knowing drac he'll work to make sure its as natural as possible.
Salan 11 May, 2013 @ 4:44pm
Ya drac, getting a few reports of the fame messing things up
Joe Chip 11 May, 2013 @ 3:46pm
Great mod, i am having a great time. I am using Apocalypse Mod with Synergies and going from Unequaled Angel to Mystic Titan gave me 41 skill points. Perhaps you might want to check it out, something is wrong.
Night Writer  [author] 11 May, 2013 @ 12:16am
@Salan

Thank You so much for the thread on your page! It's really great, I can't thank you enough. Much Respect. *Salutes* I look forward to discussing some ideas with you soon enough. :)
Night Writer  [author] 11 May, 2013 @ 12:07am
@Facelockmo

The Apocalypse Mod can be merged with Synergies, simply by placing it above Synergies, in your Load order. There is no reason, for Salan and I to merge The Apocalypse mod with Synergies, as this would destroy the 4 difficulty modes he has already implemented, by making adjustments to all the monsters and skills in his mod. Also not everyone wants to play at Uber hard levels. Mainstream players just want to play normal or veteran, and have a fun time. The Apocalypse mod drastically changes these difficulties, and when combined with Synergies makes them even harder. Normal mode Apocalypse is now about 2-3 times harder than Torchlight 2 Elite by itself. So I hope you can see why they must be Separate, to allow mainstream Synergies Players, the gaming experience they expect. Hardcore gamers who want to crank up the Difficulty can do so by simply playing with the Apocalypse mod above Synergies in their Load order.
Infract3m 10 May, 2013 @ 10:32pm
@DK and Salan, I mean, maybe you should make another difficulty beyond the highest(elite), and add it up to Synergies(hence, merging this into Synergies), since most multiplayer modded rooms in the TLII MP Lobby uses only the Synergies mod. So if this is to be implemented, a new difficulty is added and overall will be 5 difficulties in the game(don't know if this is possible in GUTS, I hope it does)
So in-short, "merging" this one into synergies.
