I give permission for people to port it to Gmod but I don't actually know how to port it myself. If it ends up on the workshop all I ask is to credit me for the model.

I figured people would look into Steam guides or YouTube tutorials to figure how to change textures. Here's a guide on changing the texture in SFM here:

As for editing the actual texture you're gonna need to find the texture in the material files which the guide may give you a rough idea on how to do that and you'll need to use either Photoshop or Gimp put in a little work and boom you've done it.

There are other complications like using notepad++ simple basic coding to make your texture permanent to always appear when you spawn the model. Also remembering to reload all texture if you still have SFM up when you make the texture change otherwise restart SFM.

This is why it's not been mentioned anywhere as there's a few ways to doing it based on you're relatively vague comment.

The answer is complicated unless you're well practiced in the process. Basically that requires the use of gimp or any other photo editing software that supports the .vtf format. You'd have to look for the material in the steam's SFM files. Once you've found the material you got to use the photo editing software to wipe clean the words that are there for you to type what you want the signs to say. Export instead of saving weather to replace the existing file or you can make a spare but would need to do a single code in SFM to apply it.

It's a shame you live in the next county North from me. It would be easier to teach you in person rather than confuse you with all this.

In the "animation set editor" Right click the model to click on "Add override materials" right click the model again go to "Show in element viewer" and click "model" once in element viewer expand "materials" assuming you're referring to "skin 2" find the material named "subway_car_team_paintable2" expand it and you'll have the "cloakcolortint" and "colortint_base" you change color with "colortint_base".

Yeah well it seems when ever I give it smoothing people say it looks too clay i give it some sharpness and I've ruined it all togeather so I don't know where the balence is sorry.

I don't know if you are aware of the problem but normals on this looks too smoothed out, and you probably need to point out some sharp edges because thats not how the light is supposed to float on the surface.

@Auditor ♦ Alright I'll give it a go. @everyone When I announce in the description that I've updated the model I want people to let me know if you can turn on Ambient occlusion and the model still appears fine as I won't know since I've not had this issue to begin with.

Hey, idk if anybody pointed that out yet, but occlusion issue is caused by your model having a transparent material on it, you need to add $mostlyopaque line in your QC and compile it again.

@Momo Okay thanks for the info but as I've mentioned in the discription I have updated the model's shading, so none of the pictures look like the updated shading now as I can't be asked to go over replacing every pic. I've only updated the Thumbnail pic with the new shading.

Judging from the screenshots, the second one in particular, it seems that the model shading was broken when the model was imported into Blender. There are a few ways you can fix that, the easiest one being just copying the hard edge data from the original model. You can do so with the Data Transfer modifier. Note this will only work if you haven't made any substantial changes to the exterior. If you need any help, feel free to ask.

I think this is a great start. But you should (if able) refine this and put more detail in it. The interior looks very low poly and low texture resoloution.

And the outsides front, seems to have some smoothing issues that could be fixed. It's a great start though!

@FalcoWorldHD I can make the flexes to move the mouth, eyes and everything else but when you write a QC the coding get's advanced with facial flexes. A HWM full face character model has 39 facial flexes alone, to avoid that coding I'd have to do nearly twice as much. The knight however only need 4 for the eyes so yeah I can do him. Basically I'll have to put on extra flexes so the eyes can be in the middle but the 4 flexes will be "Left" "Right" "Up" "Down" instead of how HWM can have the eyes in the middle with only 2 flexs "Left or right" "Up or down". Simply i can't do it professionally to reduce unessasery flexs with coding that controls the default position. Only few modelers can pull it off I'll ask Maxxy but I can't fully garentee his help. I hope all what I've said here is clear enough.

Okay :) So, if I understand correctly (I'm sorry but I don't understand too much about software to create 3D characters), you can't take a character's model from Model Resource to move his eyes or mouth? But only a masked character? @FalcoWorldHD yeah but like I said I can't do character model requests at the moment. I can make the models, the texturing, the bones and flexes. The issue is that the model has more complex QC coding that I'm not at all familier with. The only character models i can do at the moment without issue is character's that wear masks where you don't know what they look like underneith, like pyro. or character's that don't have faces at all, like slender man. so sorry i don't think i'm ready to take your request yet.

@FalcoWorldHD Okay well I'm taking on free requests for now as a matter of practicing my 3D modeling and texture modifying. No charge. However as i'm taking requests I've mentioned that I can't do character models at the moment as I can't fined anyone to teach me about bits and pieces. I'm surprisingly not getting a whole lot of suggestions let alone details from people I can barely message back on my group.
