Now, this may sound silly, but were i you, I wouldn't go around eating other people's hearts...
(shame on me who forgot a lot of red eagle's lore and didn't seek after reeding it before making my previous coment)
but hey, who am i to say, am i right?
Gaelic is but one of many dialects.
And doesn't it just mean bird in Gaelic without any specificity?
I think this was a great idea and share your opinions about the lack of depth in the game concerning the Reach. I want your mod just for that celtic looking armor set, as well! lol
There is a bug where one citizen wont die in the city of Markarth in the final battle, but all you have to do is console command "disable" him. The Forsworn move into the barracks and take over the throne room and it feels like closure once you kill the jarl. ;)
I'll give it a runtrough with your mod and bug shoot it for you, but you could be right, there is some unique code in that mod.
My thought is that they aren't truly accepting you as leader, more that they are bound by the sword's magic and are forced to follow its wielder.
-Tweaked a few of the meshes, hopefully this should fix any issues with some of the female armors.
-Modified some textures for the staffs and remade the Eye of Melka (a different skin of the other Ancient Reachman Staffs) so it should no longer crash.
-Added a custom version of the Staff of the Hag's Wrath (similar to the other staffs.)
-Added crafting & tempering to all weapons, including Red Eagle's set. You must defeat Red Eagle in order to be able to craft anything (and you also need the Steel Smithing perk.) Everything should be under Steel, except Red Eagle's set which is under Leather, and the mage set which is under Misc.
-Gave the Shaman set, Red Eagle's set, and the Loremaster Robes some unique enchantments.
-Added the "Silver" perk to all of the weapons (apparently I forgot to do that originally.)
-Added a custom version of the Briarheart Geis that is a unique version of the Ancient Reachman War Axe, and added it to the boss of Lost Valley Redoubt.
There were a few issues with making Red Eagle a briarheart; mainly that the vanilla briarheart mesh does not allow it to be used with the loincloth (they cut the torso and legs to short) so I would have to remake the meshes to make that work. In the tattoo retexture that I'm working on implementing, I DID add a wicked scar over his heart. That should fix the neck seam as well.
As for the Reachman all dropping dead, that's actually how the vanilla scripts work. I didn't want to start messing with the scripts, but that might just be a property I can set so they last longer.
Thanks for the input! There's definitely more tweaking to do.
