how many characters can a scroll hold? would be great if we could make quest guides with your scrolls. Nice work tho!!!

@kanna, creative mode you literally just open small block placing. Survival mode, I assume you need to learn something about scribing before you can get the books.

how do you get the fancy looking bookshelf in creative and survival?

Fixed several issues with the wanted scrolls and I put them on a variant.

Sorry some things you still have to make in the crafting areas. I believe this was in the research table you can craft them.

Where do I find the public notice scrolls in creative?

This is so cool, we added a board using timbers and planks where we post rules, messages and events with the new scrolls. And with the verity of books, you can pick a book type and use it for specific map sections so you can keep them all sorted until time to make whole maps. I also like how you can put the book in the bookcase like a real book. Well done.

hehe. I believe if he has the books in the Server when his server did auto save it should add the new scrolls then.

Update. I added some scrolls you can write in.They rotate in any direction so you can place on the Large table or any of my tables. I did not make a version to nail on stone walls. I also included a public notice scroll and a Order by the king scroll. I will leave the writeable book to Stori.

@wolfgar7474 - Good to know. Me and Max talk about you and your work often while we are on together. Really loving what I see so far. Was just curious if this was something that could even be done with the current game coding.

These books classy looking and bring a room to life. As for writing in them that would be cool and glad to see that the moders are looking into it. But what's not cool is posting someone elses mod to hock your own mod unless it is or was a joint venture between the two moders. I have respect for what you both do, but this is kind of underhanded.

Yeah an open-faced scroll would be pretty easy to put the sign on. It would basically be just a sheet of paper. But if it's a scroll that needs to be rolled up to look like an actual scroll, then it would be just about impossible to get good text inside it. The text can't "roll up" along with the scroll.

Hi Elmo. I was planning on making a Ledger book requested by Lord Maximus in my Discord. It will basically have the sign data on it. Like Stori said if you pick it up though it will erase the words. I could also make a Scroll with the same concept or you can just wait for what Stori offers.

Elmo, I have a book in a mod that you can open and write in. But it's of limited use because the writing disappears if you pick it up and put it into an inventory. I've been working with the devs & scripters for nearly a year to try to find a solution. There may be one close. If it comes, I'll add it to mine and share it here.

Is there a way we can get scrolls with the ability to write on them? Or is that something that is moddable yet?.... If it is that would be an amazing addition to this mod.

Well it has been over 2 years since it came out, but I do take what you are saying into consideration. Maybe I'm just sick of the trend of nobody releasing polished games anymore, seem like there is no accountability for a release in the industry anymore but at least they havent just jumped ship. Like you said small team so I understand that that is a factor. Still the mods are the only reason I play when I get a chance, perhasps because you mod you get another level of playability that others don't :)

Anyway always look forward to your stuff so please keep it up.

Thanks, I don't think it would of failed. In fact it was genious of them to make sure they had a workshop for modders. They have a small team and they were rebuilding another teams screw ups from what I understand. They have this pretty much fixed now i believe. We should start seeing some real updates now. Also when they add new things sometimes those things break mods. Well they dont want to lose us modders but need to make a change also. So they try and figure out work arounds. This could be time consuming also. Patience is a hard thing for players who don't know all the details and want new things.

In all honesty this game would have failed miserably without the tireless efforts of modders like yourself, its the only reason there is any life in the game. Thanks for all your hard work :)

Ok you out did youtself on this one. The book look great and the fact you can put them on the shelf like a real book is cool, then you have storage in the bookcase itself. The overall look is awesome and make homes and shops so much better.
