Bravo jjgm!

Merci.

Excellent! I will try yours. Thanks.
oooh whatcha say 11 Jun, 2017 @ 6:53pm
One of the best designed test chambers I have played in a long time. Well done. :)

Thanks for your test Aardvark64! I'll update the description for the time, as a fair warming. Thank you. If you have some more time, try my No 55 and tell me what you think of it.
Aardvark00 26 Feb, 2014 @ 8:30am
Took me a lot longer than 15 minutes but I got there in the end. After realising what the method of removing the turrets from the room with a companion cube must be, it worked really well. I enjoyed that! Very good, as usual.

Happy for you, stormsend! Glad you did not give up!

Loved killing turrets. Loads of them to deal with in this map. I've been working on this one off and on for a while. Got it today. Tried several ways to get turrets in the first room. Had the best luck just dropping the sphere over the glass. Found a portal surface that got me to the next area. Accidentally found the blue gel and after a while figured out how to use it. Boy was I glad to see that companion cube. From there it was a piece of cake. Enjoyed it. Thanks. See ya round the workshop.

Bayram: sorry for the amount of confusion! I will rework on this one soon. Thank you for your time and contructive comments.
Bayram 16 Jul, 2013 @ 7:36am
(... continued) The mechanism to turn on the blue gel is just ridiculously complicated and you can't actually see the gel as it moves so fast. Add to that all the stuff that serves no clear purpose and the dominant emotion while playing is confusion. What was all the orange gel for? The dispenser never came on, as far as I could tell. Also, there were fizzler emitters high on the walls that I never saw come on. I didn't like the sphere fizzling when it hit the buttons. Finally, the companion cube room is unsolveable if the gelled turret(s) hit the fizzler. This happened on my second playthrough. One turrel got gelled, immediately knocked away the other two that could be gelled and then went into the fizzler. There was no way, at that point, to get the companion cube. I'm sorry I did not like this map.
Bayram 16 Jul, 2013 @ 7:28am
Well, as you gave me a thumbs up on "With a Little help From My Friends", I really tried to like this map, and I'll give you thumbs up for the effort that went into it, but I did not find it rewarding to play. I found the room with four turrets immediately and just tipped them without bothering with the blue gel. On a second playthough, I dipped them in the gel and took them to the main room to knock out some of the turrets there. The main room turrets were rather frustrating to dispose of. I threw them at each other and used the sphere as a shield. At this point, I had no idea how to proceed, so I just started doing stuff at random. After a while, I figured out that I had to gel the turrets in the companion cube room and a while after that I figured out how to do it, but again this was by trying random stuff as there are no clear signs to link buttons to objects. (continued ...)

Ha Ravoria: that was a good idea, pressing the pedestal through the grating!!! I'll correct that. For the lasers: the middle pedestal activates a laser above a relay with the same sign as the blue gell distributor, so you can use it agains the upper turrets. With the correction to the uppper pedestal placement, you should have to figure it out, as the title is:"Jumping" and you already use that gel on the first line of turrets. I'm re-subscribing to yours. Thanks.
Spacesuit Spiff 20 May, 2013 @ 7:55pm
Got it done, eventually. Never did anything with the lasers or figured out exactly how your mechanism worked. Also put a portal near the buton in the CC room and pressed it through the grating before killing the turrets (not sure what that one did). Overall, the level was confusing and didn't need me to do much other than kill turrets; remember that no matter how impressive of a mechanism you can build in the PeTI, it's not likely to interest others, especially if they have no idea how it works. Didn't find the hidden ones. One thing I did like about this was when I ended up in the blue funnel; haven't portaled around in one for ages :) I've updated my map, please check it out

only just noticed the hiden area, in the begining.
happy glass is lowered, as it was before :)
this was a lot more fun this time :)
you may have noticed, with all those turrets on the other side of the glass.
I brought some of my own to defend me. (from hidden area)
apart from that, I think I did intended solutions.
I don't know how you will take this:
but I think your type of maps, are the closest to to mine I have seen.
I don't mean you copy them in any way.
but that you seem to be of a similar state of mind, in what you think makes a good map.
I look forward to your next map.
Spacesuit Spiff 18 May, 2013 @ 2:31pm
ok, ill try again when i get a chance. also, i recommend holding off on Preparation; I've been getting some complaints about the ridiculous size of it, so I may do a remake soon
daloboy  [author] 17 May, 2013 @ 8:50pm
Ravoria: take the time to look for portalable tile...now that you can freely move around! . I did subscribe to yours.
Spacesuit Spiff 17 May, 2013 @ 8:33pm
tried again, got rid of the first batch of turrets, no idea what to do now since the blue gel doesnt seem to be useful for anything. may try again later
daloboy  [author] 17 May, 2013 @ 8:01pm
mood3rd: thank you. I'm doing a small update regarding the front glass, just for you...Please re-subcribe!
daloboy  [author] 17 May, 2013 @ 7:57pm
Ok. Just start again, to get the sphere back. Then find the next sphere button, but don't get out of the glass area....
Spacesuit Spiff 17 May, 2013 @ 7:47pm
i was throwing it at turrets. but i ended up stuck on the right side of the first room, with the blue gel (no portal surfaces, and a turret kills me if i try to get to one)
daloboy  [author] 17 May, 2013 @ 7:34pm
Ravoria: did you find another use for the sphere? That will make much more sense...
mood3rd 17 May, 2013 @ 6:14pm

I have re-subscribed.
it's late now.
will play / test again.
Spacesuit Spiff 17 May, 2013 @ 5:23pm
ok so, im in the first part, took out the turrets on the left, headed over to the right, and now im stuck because they keep killing me. this level makes all of no sense (not to mention my pc lags, no doubt from all the turrets). if you explain what your intent was, I'll see what advice i can give

Hi again mister mood3rd! If you could test this update...and did you already find GR 3?

your welcome.
it was a pleasure.

mood3rd I will have to complicate the top...so you can appreciate the use of that specific area...hint: it's all in the title Thnak you for your time!

top room, with a fresh batch of turrets.
I sent in 2 spheres to take out some of them.
then ran along the side, to get away from their laser tracking.
then easy.
but died a few times, with earlier attempts.

in the 1st area near the sohere button:
strangely I missed getting shot by flying turrets.
it gave a sense of danger, but they never killed me.
I mean before the hightened glass.
what is the portable area in the top, with grating over it for ?
good fun.
killing turrets or sometimes not killing them, always is :)
daloboy  [author] 14 May, 2013 @ 11:57pm
Hello there! A MAJOR update, if you have the time! Thank you.
daloboy  [author] 14 May, 2013 @ 8:09pm
Thank you for your comments, mood3rd! I don't know if you noticed, but the 2 sphere buttons do respawns the first sphere (with the mechanics you described:lasers + relay). I added the portalable tiles to help spotting the white tiles giving access to the pedestal , and place some more aligned so to bowl some of the turrets. Personally, when the sphere "misses" the fizzler or gets stuck, I like the idea of having to expose yourself to "danger" to retrieve it. I'm probably close to item limit, but I'll have to work some more on that room.
mood3rd 14 May, 2013 @ 5:43pm
daloboy
great.
as well as the flying turrets.
we now can play skittles with the rest :)
though it would be helpfull to have a respawn button in the start area.
as the sphere takes out some turrets & does not always get destroyed by the fizzler.
I know the sphere button respawns it.
but with no sphere to put on it ?
perhaps a pedestal buton & attach both to a or switch.
(each activating a different laser. both lasers go into the same relay.
the relay re-spawns the sphere.)
would help to bowl all the turrets :)
your map, your choice of course.
daloboy  [author] 14 May, 2013 @ 5:41am
Thank you mood3rd! For you and futur testers, I changed the description. I added portalable tiles for better visual exploration and changed the title to relfect the "dispenser" effect.
mood3rd 13 May, 2013 @ 2:52pm
loved your turret dispenser :)
difficulty easy ?
10 mins ?
maybe because tired ?
but I took about 40 mins.
was stuck for a while.
did not see portable areas with 2nd sphere, from the ground.
& missed it when looking through high portal.
so seemed unsolvable untill I later noticed it.
I originaly had both spheres on auto respawn, when I went to turret area.
& avoided fizzler, to keep it going.
hoping to see something change to my advantage,
during 1 of the 2 spheres hitting the buttons.
so when nothing helping me proceed happened.
I was stuck for a while.
then I fired a portal in the lower area & high portable area.
& noticed the portable areas, with the 2nd cube.
it flowed nicely from this point.
apart from difficulty finding the 2nd sphere's portable areas, good map.
turrets deaths, great.
thumbs up.

Thank you Jade BGE!

Nice, I liked that. A bit choppy but not too bad. I liked the drip; effective but not too quick, so you can enjoy it. Thanks for the fun.
