I look at the files; I have a question do I only copy the darkest dungeon file or all of it

correct

Question for clarity - what is the difference between this and Chogex's Compressed Monsters? I'm assuming Cho's only touches Monsters, while this touches everything (other than heroes, as description states)?

it really reduces loading time, THANK YOU

Can this work on new save files and does it have incompatibilities with any mods you're aware of?
(This question also applies to compressed :deadweight: enemies)

My little old laptop, with the tiny hard drive, thanks you.

In case someone stumbles into this mod now: there's no visual difference whatsoever, however loading times become faster even on SSD.

update: Fixed the two-tone weald loading screen (which actually resulted in a smaller size!)

This is great! I am running DD on a laptop, with a small hard drive, and I love the reduction in file size. For people wondering why the mod is structured at it is, please read the description above!

"This might be a bit of a silly question but, is there any drawbacks to it, such as the art looking a little more pixelated or anything at all? Or is it just a matter of crunching the numbers?"

Most of the time you won't see the difference. however when there is imperfections in the art itself, it will make those imperfections greater and cause problems.

An example is the loading screen to the weald. It is really hard to notice but there are two different shades of brownish-black in the door way. It's really hard to see but it's there. The compressed loading screen version made this 100% more visible instead of being pretty much hidden for most people.

Please disregard. I actually read the description this time. :)

Hi HS. Isn't this mod packed incorrectly? It's showing up in my workshop directory with "DarkestDungeon" as the only root folder and then everything else below that.
