not much to say,only that is a great mod and one of my most played classes,i often include at least one phantom each time i go into dungeon/harvest. this mod its just amazing

And Phantom's self-shuffles don't need to be removed like that, because in teams that Phantom wants to be a part of shuffles don't really matter. Jester, Highwayman, Grave Robber all dance around anyway, Antiquarian can run away if need be, Bounty Hunter can do his job from almost every position etc. You can even add Crusader with Holy Lance.
But that's just my experience and opinion, you do what you gotta do, I'm just happy that this mod is updated at all. Best of luck! :power:

I wouldn't say that Pocket Venom is free DoT damage, because you still have to keep it in your inventory, and this is a hefty investment on any medium or long quest. Dog Treats give +50% DMG +15 ACC for three rounds, which, combined with marks, allows Houndmaster to burst priority targets (theoretically) because it both makes his Hound's Rush deadlier and more accurate. Being Envenomed, on other hand, doesn't make Phantom more accurate or deadly, it just adds some damage over time. One could (and should) argue that since PV is craftable it shouldn't be as powerful as Dog Treats, and it's true, but what I'm trying to say is that it just doesn't feel right to use because Phantom has no synergy with it. Maybe if Venom debuffed with +% damage taken and reduced PROT? It is corrosive, after all... But if it is corrosive, then its more akin to acid than venom.

1. Well, it's still a free dot damage, also it counts as a debuff rather than normal blight so it's easier to apply. But yeah pocket venom will probably get a buff next update.
2. It's mostly for his own self shuffles.
3. Yep, assassinate's +acc vs marked will be replaced with +dmg vs marked. Also Ichorous Heal will be replaced by a kill stealing ability.

Oh Phantom. This guy. This guy I like. Looks cool, doesn't seem out of place when he's fighting side by side with vanilla heroes. But there are some things I don't exactly like.
1. Pocket Venom. While it's a cool idea, it just doesn't provide enough benefit. Compare it to Dog Treats, which give fat stat bonuses immediately. Phantom gets some mediocre Blight damage (and he himself doesn't benefit from targeting Blighted enemies) and buff for Ichorous Heal. Removing Mortality Debuff is a big deal, butit's still not worth to use Pocket Venom for anything else.
2. Shadow Cloak making Phantom immovable is strange, since you are building a shuffle-tolerant team anyway.
3. Assassinate having +ACC vs Marked enemies... and that's it. At least give him some bonus damage vs Marked or Stunned or Blighted. Let him be the kill-stealing, uh, kill-securing trickster. And having damage bonus would differentiate Phantom from crit-fishing Highwayman and Grave Robber builds.
Anyway, nice mod.

Hp stealing will be reworked into a completely new skill on next update, first skill will also be dealing more damage vs marked, instead of accuracy vs marked. thank you for the feedback!

Stealing hp from your teammates seems wierd, considering he is not a necromancer or vampire or demon of any sort, Mark seems wierd, considering he doesnt get bonus damage from it, class is playable, but not amazing. 6\10

I dunno. I tried him in a couple different comps and couldnt find a place for him. I found other characters just did what he did better. Things like shieldbreaker and graverobber can hit far back and dont require setup, he just feels like he needs to much support to be viable over other options. I never felt like he was changing my team because he was on it. The corrosive mechanic was neat but I forgot about it most of the time and when its rather scarce, so you dont really want a character that isnt performing at fully optimally all the time. I like the look and the idea you went for but I'm unsure of his viability in a team.

Currently there's a crash caused by using Pocket Venom before any encounter. Using it in fight, or after fight is fine. If you finish dungeon, reload save file, or restart the game you'll need to get into any fight again before being able to use it. Caused by butcher circus update, already reported the issue to RedHook, so we just wait for a fix - don't think I can fix it somehow on my end. Please let me know if you are crashing when using PV under other circumstances, also if you know a way to fix this do let me know!

Stealth steal was way too situational so we replaced it with clear stealth + stealth self.
We have discussed removing of "stealth cancel on crit" a while ago but it seemed way too strong so skill was kept as it is. We could just reduce crit buff and bonus action chance but it didn't seem like a right a way to balance it.

I noticed in a discussion you mentioned the skill use to steal an enemies stealth. I think something like that would add a lot of utility to phantom's kit without being overpowered.

yea but since the crit buff only lasts one attack, wouldn't I on average get the same result from using assassinate twice? Using assassinate twice also gives me the options of hitting multiple targets in those two turns. I get the 30% chance for a free buff, but that kinda feels like relying on rng vs proactively dealing with enemies. I'd rather spend turn 1 attacking a backliner in hopes i kill it round 1 combined with the attack with another hero. It just feels sub-optimal to use round 1 on a buff that only lasts one attack. It's essentially using a round for a buff that has a low chance to not even be useful, due to being reliant on accuracy and crit chance. That combined with canceling stealth on crit doesn't encourage using it to focus damage on another character that's tankier, like doing phantom and leper as ranks 1 and 2.

Shadow Cloak also has a chance of giving you an additional turn, and if you don't crit you keep the stealth. So if you are lucky you get a free crit buff, if you are unlucky, well, at least you have stealth, and you will have a chance to crit next turn. Move resist is mostly there for his own skills. Early game I use the skill when I just don't want him to be attacked, like he is low hp, or marked. Late game I often use it as an opener - at level 5 it's 30% chance for bonus action and x4 crit chance, almost guaranteed crit.

I'm enjoying the mod, but just have one question. I don't fully understand the point of shadow cloak. The increased crit chance only lasts for one hit, so wouldn't it on average be better just to attack twice with assassinate? I get that it prevents shuffling, but if I'm using phantom I'm gonna create a team that works well with shuffling. The only situations I can really think of where I'd personally use it is if i had a high prot guard character in rank 1 or 2 so they'd be targeted instead of phantom, but then crits cancel the stealth making it feel sort of bad or specific boss fights like drowned crew for the move resist, but that seems kinda niche. I guess I was just wondering what situations did you intend for shadow cloak to work well in?

i will verify it later, got to talk to my boys at the moment, but so far have had it last only one turn on 3 occasions, wondering if it was a turn order thing (aka enemy moved slow marked turn, then fast turn on their turn)

Blind throw is still my favorite move, animation mostly just makes me smile, It reminds me of a deadpool/richard the warlock from LFG moments. Ah cherished memories.

ah man the marking skill is bugged, on "Marked Fate" it last only on the turn you use it then wears off after that turn....(i know it says longer on larger targets but even on small ones it should last at least one full round til you next turn)

I Rarely used it in the past but seems to me its not worth using if it wears off so quick on the mark. (unless you use it on large targets then its ok)

Is it really that bad? With art provided I can add the trinket sure. We didn't add the head mostly because I thought it won't make much sense to have a head without fighting a collected phantom. Where did that head came from if Collector never captured him?
