Little bit of Excess, a little bit of Access, need I say more ?
Delofon 1 Mar @ 9:52am
I think it's actually a real thing, like your brain gets too tired from trying to solve a problem, then after a break is able to solve it rather quickly. (though I don't think a week long break is necessary for that so I may be wrong in your case lol)
Dopetob 28 Feb @ 2:06pm
I seem to be going into a pattern in which i get stumped take a week( or more than a week break) come back and solve the puzzle in like 10 mins still enjoyable.
Connorses 2 Jan @ 11:26am
I regret to inform you that I got stumped, even though I had the hint that null portal is involved, and then found a solution by throwing the cube down onto the faith plate.

IT TOOK ME HALF AN HOUR... I LOVE IT
Zakru 26 Aug, 2023 @ 6:29am
Wow, I found this from your video (only watched a minute before trying the map myself), so the title gave me some direction once I got stuck. But man, it still took some time to find the solution, but once I did, it felt like everything suddenly clicked into place :D
SArpnt 30 Jul, 2023 @ 4:33pm
there's some clever proper way to do it but i just threw the cube

i love physics
+ШЯЕИ+ 5 Jun, 2023 @ 1:17pm
i finished the video and it turns out this was not the first level to use "null portals", but, it was the first level i played with the mechanic, so thanks for introducing me to it ^.^'
i'll definitely check out the original null portals level soon
+ШЯЕИ+ 5 Jun, 2023 @ 12:16pm
i didn't even make it a minute through your video on closed portals before wanting to try this map out for myself. i was not disappointed.

this is possibly the most innovative map on the workshop, at least mechanically speaking. the revelation of finally finding out what to do was a huge joy and felt like a massive brain wave hit me. this level was absolutely incredible and i'd recommend it to anyone that wants to put their Portal knowledge to the test.
the custom music is also very nice!

we NEED more maps like this. very well done dude!!
Xander 23 Jan, 2023 @ 12:20pm
I did it the right way the first time
and then tried just chucking the cube at the aerial faith plate until it worked
Muzozavr 29 Nov, 2022 @ 1:32pm
> post on discord
> get a hint mentioning something I already knew and figured out (there's no other way to achieve the needed result)
> sudden brainwave on how to actually make that happen

Awesome map. Even when you know what "move" needs to happen, the exact way of doing it is surprisingly sneaky. A truly lovely idea.
E L Y T R O N 27 Jul, 2022 @ 1:11pm
Amazing! You manage to squeeze all of the puzzle potential out of your maps. I think I've anticipated everything but there is always an extra level of cleverness! Favorited!
Booksds 4 Jun, 2022 @ 8:15pm
What a great map! I figured out the last two steps pretty early on, but I just could not figure out what the third-to-last step was. It took about 30 minutes of running around and screaming "THERE'S NO GAME MECHANIC TO CLOSE ONLY ONE PORTAL! THERE'S NO GAME MECHANIC TO CLOSE ONLY ONE PORTAL!" at my monitor before I realized that there was, in fact, a game mechanic to close only one portal
Delofon 14 May, 2022 @ 2:19pm
The dopamine you get after releazing the basis behind the solution and then the solution itself after is just pure gold. AMAZING!
TVmeem 13 May, 2022 @ 10:38pm
Really cool puzzle :p2cube:
Dark Rozen 18 Mar, 2022 @ 12:39pm
Fun map
Mr Fab 16 Mar, 2022 @ 11:48am
Nice puzzle  I think 4/10 is a bit too high personally ! Favorited !

@Mikeastro
nope. Had to see the soution ahahaha
Mikeastro  [author] 26 Jun, 2021 @ 2:37pm
@dbianchi Impressive! Did you also solve the puzzle?
dbianchi 26 Jun, 2021 @ 2:35pm
I managed to just throw the cube from up top into the faith plate
Mikeastro  [author] 22 Dec, 2020 @ 3:59am
@ezKill42 Thank you very much! I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed both the puzzle and the music. Excellent work solving it! I hope you will continue to enjoy my puzzles in the future :]
ezKill42 21 Dec, 2020 @ 9:36pm
One of your better 'tricky' maps that was actually fairly easy. It had me going for a little while but finally realized how the sneaky part worked :) I'm a fan of most of your maps, especially enjoy the custom music. Keep it up!
Mikeastro  [author] 25 Sep, 2020 @ 3:45pm
@BehindPortal Thanks for playing once again :D
BehindPortal 25 Sep, 2020 @ 5:26am
yes sneaky and good use of null portal :p2cube:fav
Mikeastro  [author] 14 Jul, 2020 @ 3:12am
@DeathWish808 Thank you very much for the video! It was very interesting to watch and to hear your thoughts while you solved it :] Your solution was perfect
DeathWish808 13 Jul, 2020 @ 6:53pm
Excellent map and a nice break from all the complex and overly complex maps I've been playing. Well put together! Thumbs up and fave!

Thank you very much once more! Excellent work solving it. You are correct that there's quite a few difficult puzzles coming up. Laser puzzles can be very intimidating indeed - the possibilities with them are almost endless. And yeah, I think the similarities between Vector and Vulture you are describing were no coincidence :p Indeed Vector suffers from that rare PTI level editor music glitch, it is quite strange. I should update it sometime, while at the same time disabling the laser collision :]
Alric 9 Jun, 2020 @ 1:08pm
Just finished Vector :D It's my favourite map from your workshop so far, but choosing from so many good maps isn't easy! It reminded me of Leomievs' Vulture. I'm sure he was inspired by this map as well (same theme, same music, one funnel, two cubes, similar cube switching magic, hell, they both even start with the same letter! :D)

I see that The Machine Room, Mirror Symmetry, Butterfly, and Indecision are right ahead. I find laser puzzles very intimidating (Mirror Symmetry looks terrifying just from the thumbnail alone!) after having played Grayarea's Ignition & Encode and some of Jonatan's maps. I'm sure that the good feeling will be worth it though :D

By the way, there's some weird bug on a couple of maps with the PTI editor music playing constantly, even when pausing the game. I'm sure BEE is responsible. The ambient isn't invasive, but it's still audible.
Mikeastro  [author] 9 Jun, 2020 @ 6:14am
Thank you very much :D I'm very happy to hear that you are enjoying my puzzles so far. You're getting through it at a very fast pace, too, impressive! Your solution video was completely intended. It would indeed seem that you like the more difficult puzzles more, looking at your list, and I would agree with your reasoning. Have you already placed Vector? I personally quite like that puzzle. Anyway, good luck with the rest of your journey. There's still a few tricky ones ahead :]
Alric 9 Jun, 2020 @ 6:03am
I'm halfway through your workshop now, and so far, everything has been going smoothly. I'll struggle a bit with the other half due to the dense brain fog that just came with seasonal allergies, but I'm not giving up :D Neurons, Reflection, Peculiar, Square Puzzle and Connection are among my favourites. I haven't actually favourited them yet, but I will go through your logic map collection when I'll have finished every map :) I'm not saying that difficult equals good, but when you play a difficult map, you have more time to appreciate its design and cleverness. Needless to say, I did like every map, even the silly ones :D

As for this map, I loved the portal cancel move! It's a unusual technique that has a lot of potential. The music was really nice too :) I can't wait to hear more of it!

My solution: https://youtu.be/olZAqWMWNUU

Yeah I change my nickname a lot

Pretty cool.
Mikeastro  [author] 4 Jan, 2020 @ 3:03pm
@Determinated Thanks :D
Dire Domino 4 Jan, 2020 @ 2:51pm
Bloody fantastic
Mikeastro  [author] 3 Nov, 2019 @ 1:49pm
@Spider_Dawg Excellent work figuring this one out! It's pretty sneaky indeed :] Glad you liked it
Spider_Dawg 3 Nov, 2019 @ 1:40pm
Yup, was running around trying to figure out how to do "that" without doing "the other" when all of a sudden the "aha!" moment hit. If you know what I mean. Which you do. Clever trick, not too complicated but not too obvious either. Thumbs up!
Mikeastro  [author] 27 Jul, 2019 @ 3:31am
@kimist108 You're getting there! When I published this, I hadn't seen the trick before, but since then I've learnt that it had already been done a few times in the past :p
kimist108 26 Jul, 2019 @ 10:28pm
Page 2. Page 1 is just around the corner. I can remember playing the first map that used this "trick".
Mikeastro  [author] 30 Nov, 2018 @ 9:06am
@quatrus Yeah sneaky is the correct word to describe this one. Glad you liked it in the end :)
quatrus 30 Nov, 2018 @ 8:42am
Thanks Nock for the vid. Again I was stumped on the very last move - yes it was very sneaky but I just couldn't see it. Thanks for creating - adding to favs.
Mikeastro  [author] 26 Aug, 2018 @ 3:17am
@Determinated Most peculiar... though I'm glad it sort of works now :|
Dire Domino 25 Aug, 2018 @ 9:54pm
So apparently I can't export to p2 with your music files, but your song I chose is playing in the map. Technology is weird
Mikeastro  [author] 13 Aug, 2018 @ 2:23am
@Nock What can I say? I'm just a terrible person :P Very fun video :D
nock 13 Aug, 2018 @ 12:10am
Very, very sneaky, you sneaky person you

@•‹†ρđ› ĐūšР2ķ• Thank you :D
•‹†ρđ› ĐūšР2ķ• 12 Aug, 2018 @ 5:48am
Yep clever! I knew this trick and I like it's use.
Dire Domino 11 Aug, 2018 @ 6:11pm
I am not blaming you at all, Mikeastro, these things happen :) I will try some stuff and get back to you.
Mikeastro  [author] 11 Aug, 2018 @ 5:52pm
@Determinated Oh that sounds really bad - I'm really sorry about that. I am not sure how that happened, for it has always worked without any problems for me (even when experimenting how to get it running in the first place)... I am no skilled programmer by any means, but does the error reveal any clue as to what might have caused it? If not, then all I can recommend is to reinstall Bee (if it really stopped working completely, which I find highly curious...). Someone gave me advice on a couple of things I could change about the package, so I did. Maybe then, if you still have faith, try again...? I'm really sorry about all this but I'm really at a loss here :[
Dire Domino 11 Aug, 2018 @ 5:31pm
I tried to put one of your songs into my map, and when I tried my BeeMod selection to Portal 2, there was an error. Now BeeMod won't export at all :(
Dire Domino 8 Aug, 2018 @ 5:40pm
@Mikeastro Awesome! Thanks so much, I will try it out with the test chamber I'm making currently. I will give you credit in the description.
Mikeastro  [author] 8 Aug, 2018 @ 4:51pm
@Atom @Determinated I think my dropbox has now been set up correctly - you can use the link on my profile to access the files. I do not think that aerond's Music changer is required. Please let me know if I messed something up!
