Update-changed the research of the rivers and waterwheel to be unlocked during economical advanced mechanics
MX Duke 19 Feb, 2021 @ 8:16pm
Well I have been messing with it a far bit. and from that I can see its not attached to the mecanical mill quest that should unlock it. I can use the mod in creative starts, but in survival it never shows up.

A reason to play

Cool thanks for posting. Looks like it is a pain to craft in survival. It is mainly a creative mod to make things look more natural then switch to survival and start building around spring. I would suggest digging lower in the future. The physics I set up allows you to walk in the water so imagine you are aiming at a half tall cube. it really needs the direction aiming tool added, hopefully game picks back up and I will return to modding.

I featured this mod on my YouTube series https://youtu.be/2l2kp_8ArEk

I'm sorry, I studied your Workshop vid and pics a few months ago, and I should have gave them a refresher. Still a little fuzzy on the details. I will be trying again. I will post a Vid when I get it worked out.

I see, der.. There is simulated water flow, and I need to create that. So the Watermill Water Block doesn't need to be directly below the mill wheel? I can put the wheel over a River Block? I just need a source so the water will flow.
wolfgar7474  [author] 2 Jun, 2019 @ 11:42am
I included a pic in the screenshots so you can see what you need.
MX Duke 2 Jun, 2019 @ 10:11am
If needed I can provide a video of my efforts.

I'm having a problem, I'm assuming you attach the water mill to a mechanical joint, and then place the watermill water below it and it should spin, right? I have tried many different combinations of blocks, and I can't get the water mill to spin. What am I doing wrong?
wolfgar7474  [author] 24 May, 2019 @ 3:48pm
I made 2 springs you can place down 1 for creeks and 1 for aquaducts. You can not power the watermill or creek without it.

What water mod are you using? I mean you need running water so were would I find this running water? Is it a map?

Thank you very much wolfgar

Thanks! :D

Ok it is fixed now. I accidently put smallstone instead of stonesmall. took a minute to figure that out.
Malum1971 20 Apr, 2019 @ 7:02am
would be nice to have a straight aquaduct that could be attached to continue from the lower side of the sloped aquaduct. And perhaps even a 45 or 90 degree turn of the aquaduct sections
slideover 20 Apr, 2019 @ 6:46am
From memory, the downward aqueduct and the aqueduct mechanical block.
wolfgar7474  [author] 20 Apr, 2019 @ 6:13am
Is this on a certain block?
Kirknay 20 Apr, 2019 @ 12:57am
I'm also having issues with the unknown components. Help please.
slideover 10 Apr, 2019 @ 9:27pm
I'm having some trouble, what are the missing components for the aquaduct blocks.
Malum1971 15 Mar, 2019 @ 4:47pm
That would be a great idea to have both options :)
wolfgar7474  [author] 15 Mar, 2019 @ 2:40pm
hmm I could make a copy of the water wheel and flip it so that there is a left and a right
MorshuArtsInc 15 Mar, 2019 @ 2:27pm
Okay, I guess I figured this new system out... I wish though that one could make the water wheel turn in the other direction as well.
wolfgar7474  [author] 15 Mar, 2019 @ 1:59pm
I dont have a block for the Aquaduct and water wheel there is a block in the river blocks that has a block specific for water wheel. I will see about adding a block to the Aquaduct for the waterwheel.
The waterwheel is almost as wide as a large cube is why i didnt make one.
Malum1971 11 Mar, 2019 @ 7:51am
Great news Wolfgar7474. You're the Modman :D Looking forward to try it out tomorrow, when I've got time to play...
Btw Thanks a lot for all of your hard work with the mods.

Update-Now.7 ready. Now with Aquaducts that power like windmill. There is a spring now that need to place to start flow of water. They are basically mechanical transmissions and windmill Blocks.
Malum1971 4 Mar, 2019 @ 6:51am
I sure hope this will get an update so that it will work in 0.7 version of the game.
ironsword40 15 Feb, 2019 @ 12:12am
Are you going to update this mod for the 0.7 update?
wolfgar7474  [author] 24 Nov, 2018 @ 5:09pm
Thanks xthecanadian, I appreciate that.
xTheCanadian 24 Nov, 2018 @ 4:57pm
This mod is great! Thanks so much for your work! I was trying to find a mod that removed friction from the windmill and instead found this. I like it more than the windmills and the river blocks are just awesome!
Cosmic Lemonade 9 Nov, 2018 @ 10:07am
noice.
wolfgar7474  [author] 4 Nov, 2018 @ 7:13am
Update- fixed a texture naming issue which allowed the wheel paddle to have wrong texture.
Crocodile 14 Sep, 2018 @ 1:31pm
I have an issue with placing toolhead, which one should it be? When I try to use normal one (for sawmill) it does not accept it. Did I miss some block with special one?
wolfgar7474  [author] 11 Sep, 2018 @ 5:58am
haha ya how would i do that. I have no experience in scripting and most of that mod is script. Besides he dont even talk to me.
XCanG 11 Sep, 2018 @ 5:29am
Hm, you kinda need to cooperate with Peaceman and his water mod what released 5 days ago https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1503751972
wolfgar7474  [author] 28 Aug, 2018 @ 5:13pm
the water is in the gmenu under large blocks. yes if you make a spring coming out of a mountain by digging a trench to place them in so they are under the earth layer. I have example pics on the mod
Oorestis 28 Aug, 2018 @ 4:57pm
Where exactly did you find the water? Can we make our own rivers?
wolfgar7474  [author] 8 Aug, 2018 @ 9:08am
Update- Turned volume of all sounds down 2 notches.
High Lord Baron 8 Aug, 2018 @ 4:56am
Nah, it's fine. Played in creative anyway :steamhappy:
wolfgar7474  [author] 7 Aug, 2018 @ 8:43pm
Converted Sound Wave File to mono. Hopefuly the volume will be more steady now.
wolfgar7474  [author] 7 Aug, 2018 @ 6:14pm
Hmm this seems to be a re-accurring problem. The way it works is you can only place the water on one side of the water. Im not sure how else to make it point out which way it rotates upon placement. I placed a pin on one side so you can see the power side. Only suggestion i have Is try to test it in creative first to see how it works and then you can use that to build it in Survival. Sorry for the inconvieniance. i will try and figure out a solution so this will be easier to use.
High Lord Baron 7 Aug, 2018 @ 3:23pm
Good to now. But I encoutert another issue. If you want the wheel to produce power, you have to instal it on a cerian side, wich in my case means the wheel is spining backwards :/
wolfgar7474  [author] 7 Aug, 2018 @ 12:35pm
not sure why its doing that. It mainly seems to do it when placing the blocks 100% volume. Once you log off and log back on it goes to the proper vloume
High Lord Baron 7 Aug, 2018 @ 12:30pm
Nice work ! But why are the water blocks so loud ?! I think i´m deaf now XD. But still, great work
ironsword40 1 Aug, 2018 @ 2:24pm
sorry it took me so long to reply I have been busy
ironsword40 1 Aug, 2018 @ 2:24pm
Yes wolf it seems they are headed the multiplayer direction which is ok but I fear they will leave single player mode behind
