Currently deployed, but I have been looking to come back to ARK if we demob. If that's the case, I'll definitely be doing an update pass on all my mods. :)

CoyodiSoul, could You check and update the mod? When I want to use the bow witch mounted arrow (any from Your mod) my game crashed. This mod souds very good but dont work atm.

I could probably do that, or actually I could allow normal tranq arrows underwater like the crossbow, that'd save an engram as well :p

Forgot to ask... could you make a harpoon tranq arrow for the bow? And add ini config to adjust it's torpor? Pretty plz?

makes the bow SOOO much more valuable. If you adjust dmg/torpor to balance with darts on increased servers it can even hold it own with the longneck. Awesome mod!

As for the damage not being affected by the drawstring distance, I just confirmed that it is a bug with how the damage is assigned to the projectile from INI. The projectile pulls the setting and applies its damage mid-flight.. so I'll look into a solution for that, but I don't know of a way to reference the bow's drawn distance after it has fired. It should work correctly with default values, though shock arrows aren't supposed to scale in damage like that. (more like a taser imo)

You reminded me that I wanted to add a new Training dummy that works with projectile weapons though which was easy enough! So hopefully that works in this next cook. :pup:

@Tenebris It's 3x, so 1 dmg = 3 torpor, just like vanilla tranq arrows. I'll consider it, but messing with damage types is kind of annoying (and also sometimes very limited), and the increased torp per damage is the defining element of tranq darts.. so I don't really like the idea of invalidating them in that way. I believe it rises over 5 secs as well. I'll make it so the time stacks, I'd been thinking about how to do that.

Would it be possible to increase the tranq/shock arrows torpor damage per damage done and also give them a slower torpor over time? Or at the very least add an ini option to do so?

Basically, I think it'd be better if the tranqs didn't have such low torpor per damage done, because in my testing, I have to do almost 4x as much health damage with tranq/shock arrows to do the same torpor damage as a shocking dart from a longneck. And the torpor over time is too quick, only taking a couple seconds to get up before the creature's torpor starts dropping again.

In further testing I just did, it seems that my bow damage, and even how much I pull it back doesn't affect the damage of arrows at all, they always do the same no matter what.

Sure thing, I just added them to the description.

Pro tip: if ever you need that kind of info but can't get an answer from the mod author, take the mod ID and search it in your base mod folder to get the specific mod's folder, then search "Engram" there and a lot of the time you'll be able to find them.
Has helped me out more times than I can count when tweaking and balancing mods on my server! :)

I was mostly disappointed that there wasn't a metal tranq arrow, but you went above and beyond! Also, I was wondering what the Engram Entries for these were, as I wasn't particularly interested in having the harpoon arrow?

Thanks! I was super disappointed the first time I made a compound bow (playing PvE at that time and was fairly new overall), so I made this to make it more worthwhile. :pup:

Sounds good, let me know. and yeah, I definitely have my Grenade damage turned up a bit. By default it's set to the same stats as a thrown grenade, with the same damage type, etc.

No nothing different. i did use console-spawned arrows and bow, it is possible one of my mods has a duplicate of metal arrows... Though i think i used the full BP path to spawn mine... I'll fiddle with it more, and experiment with manually making them too. If i find out, i'll let you know.

Also for some reason the Grenade arrow seems to do a lot less damage than my normal metal arrows (at least it seemed that way last i tried them, i was expecting devastation with an ascended bow), which seems odd to me. I didn't change the stats on them.

I can't seem to replicate the issue. I tried with my stack mod enabled and without it, thinking maybe it was a child class issue.. Is there something different in how you're testing it than what I did in the below video?

No i tried every compound bow, maybe i'll try again when i reload, have infinitestats off and spawn a fresh bow to see what happens. What it was doing was i could switch between all the mod arrows, but if i load a normal metal arrow it would still be using the last equipped mod arrow, and not let me set metal arrows again until i set something else. Like it'll think it has normal arrows but be shooting mod ones.

Does that mean we could add config lines to change base damage or torpor inflicted? I like this mod, and I mean it, but since the ZZZ arrow is currently not a match against other good night sweet prince related mods then I guess that tweaking your ZZZ arrow would make it come back as the ruler in terms of torpor dealer. Could it be done in the near future?

Yup, They work on Extinction. They just craft in the player's inventory once learned.

I believe it's a bit more than a shocking tranq. When I was making this mod and testing a ton of other tranq mods, I loaded them into a single player game and used Awesome Spyglass and GCM mode to test their effectiveness/balance.

Grenade is exactly the same as normal grenades, but it scales with weapon damage. :)

If you don't mind my asking, is the Torpor from the Shock Arrow around equal to a Shock Tranq Dart, or ... ? Just curios, as I've been considering, but don't want to sink resources in-game to something without knowing a bit more about it. I'd assume the Grenade Arrow has about the same punch as a Grenade, so I was just curious about the Tranqs.
