Hard labor uses strength

the machine inventory size changing messes with auto hauling in mining operations. I have several characters mining for passive income who no longer run to deposit the mined ore. you should lower the cap to like 10 or 20 to reduce micro management during manual farming but allow the auto farms to work

I really like it, it's logical, but I have a suggestion that would make it perfect- it should raise strength a quarter as fast or even less than weight training or have a cap (like a training dummy). So that it doesnt eliminate the need for weight training
kuyo 4 Jun @ 6:13pm
Went back in my save with FCS and reduced the strength of my hiver labourers. guys hit 80 str after they had like 45 the last time i checked. Obviously not trying to tell anyone else how to play, but watch out for this one, very high strength exp from it.
BustinEmOpen 1 Jun @ 3:36pm
new to the game, had to disable this because it gives way too much strength xp, which i believe changes the progression curve of the game too much.
Azrael 21 May @ 4:07pm
Is there a way to reduce the amount of strength gained?
I left one of my characters mining copper for a whole day and gained 14 strength points.

"De lunes a domingo voy todo viciado,
La antorcha prendida, luz por todos los lados,
Picando y picando y yo no te he encontrado,

does not affect body appearance. stregth grows - body stays in weak appearance

Now working with IWK + Right tool for the job. I made a copy of your mod to fix that
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3452181994 .

But can I somehow reduce training rate, without reducing mining rate?
Lumberspace 20 Mar @ 8:57am
my guys are already hungry miners who spend more time walking back to eat than they do at the mines. need the realism of the strength xp though. also i work hard labor and we get sick if we eat during the hot ass day with all of the physical activity. we just smoke a cig and drink a monster to get back our energy
Typicalgold 10 Feb @ 2:46pm
Are you able to make this mod add strength but also add labouring skill?
CyberBip 4 Feb @ 2:23pm
Хорошая прокачка силы. При этом как по мне более чем в балансе и логичная. Однако возможно влияет на статы силы бандитов. (Не факт).
Alt 2 Jan @ 3:37am
For some reason i still get labouring exp instead of strength when i mine in Rebirth.
Dr. Igor Dolvich 16 Dec, 2024 @ 6:01am
@Vikindio

Other things, like the manual laboring machines (wells, plates, etc) still give you laboring skills.
Alarick 25 Nov, 2024 @ 2:31pm
Vikindio, it's not possible to use both skill with a single activity sadly.
Vikindio 24 Nov, 2024 @ 8:24pm
So this leaves labour completely useless, I don't like it. It would be better to leave labour as it is, and add some strenght to that
Laughing Forest 7 Oct, 2024 @ 2:00pm
Enslaved by the holy nation, but it is leveling labour not strength - bug?
masturbanization 25 Aug, 2024 @ 12:15pm
It feels like it drastically reduces the speed at which you actually mine, compared to vanilla. Like it levels up strength but still uses laboring.
яна солях 16 Jul, 2024 @ 3:42pm
so, it's very useful mod for me, but I don't understand by which system it upgrade the power of me, I mean that I try to do it with overload and without overload but don't see yhe difference, so, it have fixxed meaning of upgrade?
DieseL 6 Feb, 2024 @ 11:12am
If you dig, the power swings. If you take the corpse in your arms, then the work starts again. If you throw off a corpse and drip like that, the work will pump, but the strength will not. I reinstalled the mod, it doesn't help. Delete the game and install it again?
Goldenveins 11 Dec, 2023 @ 3:56pm
As a labourer IRL I can confirm you don't gain any mechanical knowledge by digging dirt or removing rocks from the ground. Very immersive mod option, ty. Somehow it feels like a cheat even though I know for a fact mining with a pickaxe should increase strength rather than machining- I mean labouring. .
Tosius 18 Oct, 2023 @ 10:32am
damn right you get stronger by working xD
Anrhaa 13 Sep, 2023 @ 8:15am
@Pegtarr. Yep. Since pretty much all mods use game assets for it, they should be compatible. It won't work with mods that adds NEW nodes though (as new mining goods, like a carbon mine for example)
Pegtarr 1 Sep, 2023 @ 7:32pm
Anyone know any mod that adds placeable iron & copper nodes and is compatible with this mod?

I haven't been able to find one
Dr. Igor Dolvich 30 Jul, 2023 @ 4:45am
@ivanik

Late response, but yes machinery still increases labouring. This is only for rock mining, which is useful for Slave starts in Rebirth to help train your strength while you're trying to find a way to escape. :cactusrum:
Ivanik 18 Jun, 2023 @ 5:10pm
does using machines and shit still train your labour? or does this mod pretty much remove that skill entirely from the game?
Chimaera 15 Jun, 2023 @ 10:53am
great incredible mod. thank you sir
rat bastard 27 Apr, 2023 @ 12:52pm
@Kai, that already exists, it's the Ore Drill
Blurx 16 Apr, 2023 @ 10:57am
Finally!
dr46onfusion 23 Jan, 2023 @ 9:33am
As a result you get to train labour, and train str.
dr46onfusion 23 Jan, 2023 @ 9:32am
Maybe add in material processing as a new concept:

When you mine, you get a bigger heavier 'chunks' which are very very heavy to carry. You need a structure that converts it into the regular pieces.

You would need to switch out the nodes and what item it gives though, for instance a XL version of the copper/iron/stone/etc when mined. And then add a processing structure that you can place these in and 'break' them down for STR exp and turning 1 big chunk into multiple smaller ones.
dr46onfusion 23 Jan, 2023 @ 9:30am
It's probably a good idea to create a 'quarry' structure that players can build that helps them mine from nearby nodes, without changing the actual nodes, and giving STR instead of Labour.

No idea if this is possible to have a structure that can only be 'placed' touching a node to enable it.
DarkMagic 11 Jan, 2023 @ 8:36am
Quick question, under labor stat is says it effects mining, is this stat swapped over to strength but not visually showing it? Like higher strength means faster mining? Or does this made just move were EXP is given?
Baron Von Kekatron 6 Jan, 2023 @ 8:27pm
wont this make the laboring stat just vestigial?
Aion9 2 Jan, 2023 @ 5:02pm
He literally explained why it's not possible to level up both without going deep into the game's code and that it would break rules to upload a modification to the game on that level. Read the discussion.
Vikindio 2 Jan, 2023 @ 12:07am
Removing the training of labour is retarded, it should remain the same but with a little percentage of strength training, that would be perfect.
November4052 28 Dec, 2022 @ 2:29pm
yes, it says in the desc
Makeithappen 16 Dec, 2022 @ 3:45pm
Is this mod suppose to cause labor to not skill up?
Trinity 14 Dec, 2022 @ 12:18am
hittin that fuckin rock so hard his fuckin pick is Shmokin
I Am Bacon 10 Dec, 2022 @ 2:14am
I won't trust a no profile picture user that doesn't use the correct "your/you're" in a sentence :poop_narco:
jake_j_a 30 Oct, 2022 @ 4:01pm
Anyone who thinks this "makes sense" has never done it. Yes, your strength would increase a little, just from basic exercise, but skill is a MUCH bigger factor. Most of the strength comes from hauling around all the equipment all day. If your using strength for mining, your doing it wrong, and your probably going to end up seriously hurting yourself if you don't learn how to work properly, also, you'd be utterly burned out in under an hour.

If there was a way to partially increase strength, like running while mildly encumbered increases strength slightly but is still mostly athletics, that would make sense, but as is it's the opposite of sense.
Redshirtguy 8 Oct, 2022 @ 9:10am
i agree with others very op but it should stop leveling after 20 strength bit like pamparams comment
ForgedBowen 18 Jul, 2022 @ 9:30am
Howdy! I find this mod makes sense
Is there a way to make it compatible with other mods that add other mines?
Idk if it's genmod or what but I also have Tin, Silver, Gold, Uranium, (other?), and working them doesn't build strength. I can look past it lol, but would make my brain feel better for them to all work the same!
Again, Great 👍 commonsense mod here
Smoker 8 Jul, 2022 @ 11:24pm
Good but OP
Pamparampampamparam 25 Jun, 2022 @ 10:16pm
I like it, but feel its way too efficient and should stop giving XP at level 30 or so.
Trinity 19 Mar, 2022 @ 6:09am
this is incredibly useful for ..... . .. ... . idk my fuckin weak ass nobodies are bulky now
kreaturen 7 Nov, 2021 @ 12:41pm
For some reason this mod doesn't change anything for me. Still increases labor instead of strength while mining.
Minimum Viable Suffering 30 Oct, 2021 @ 12:42pm
It makes sense, but I feel like the gains are stupidly high. Pickaxes aren't that heavy; 2-5 pounds is common. The game has some really hefty weapons in it. Why are the strength gains so huge for swinging a pick at a rock, when swinging a 20 pound weapon at bandits every day only trains it a little bit?

I'm guessing it's how XP is awarded in combat VS other general tasks. Combat XP is awarded in bug chunks when you do/take damage, whereas mining awards constant XP. If this didn't totally supplant regular strength training, I'd use it.
Saturn 31 Jul, 2021 @ 6:56pm
only thing I dislike is the stack rescources as i love this mod but it seems to interfere with infinite capacity in stone mines, iron ores, ect
sel 28 Jul, 2021 @ 3:13pm
so working resources still uses labour for speed, so this mod is pretty garbage?? and why put stacking resources in this mod? if you want that you should go some where else.
Pancit Canton 20 Jun, 2021 @ 9:06pm
i dont really understand why labor being a separate stat
it feels redundant since you already have strength
