this is great though, I wish there was a feature where you could fire different types of canon shots, other than that, it's a really great accomplishment

I can't reload,is this a bug?
iSc00t 29 Jan, 2020 @ 4:15pm
Would there be a way to indicate when the cannon is loaded? Right now I just count to 30 in my head and spam the fire button until it shoots.

how do I get the mod to work?
Barnow 25 Dec, 2018 @ 2:11pm
WE NEED A FULLY AUTOMAGIC CANNON
AND IT MUST BE RELOADED WITH NERF DARTS
WITH A SPREAD RANGE OF A SHOTGUN
AND THE RANGE OF A RIFLE

why the player model is awkwardly "inside" the cannon? can you fix the posture?
Δ 900 Mag 29 Jul, 2018 @ 6:32am
to be honest i actually thought 30 seconds was a little too fast for a 24 pounder. maybe the extra weight of the shells didn't make that big of a difference :|

Oh good grief! This is a note to all who are complaining about the reload. I'm a Civil War reenactor. I'm with 1st Michigan Light Artillery. I think I know a thing or two about cannons. We fire 12 pound howitzers, not too much different than this one. An experienced gun crew can load and fire one in 30 seconds or less. Usually we can get 2 to 3 shots off per minute, but we're limited due to the cost of black powder. If you want your unlimited ammo and 1 second reload time, look elsewhere. That's my 2 cents. Rant over.................
Rusty Elite05 26 Jul, 2018 @ 10:58pm
my god 30 seconds
Flaumy  [author] 26 Jul, 2018 @ 3:31pm
@Leben-Blitz its at 30 seconds right now and it takes awhile irl to load one
Wokeface 26 Jul, 2018 @ 10:08am
Just curious, long does the reload take? I understand for balancing and historical reasons the reload is slow, but just curious how long is the reload suppose to take?
Flaumy  [author] 25 Jul, 2018 @ 10:27pm
@Anthony199521 I plan on changing the size of the ball, but the speed will stay the same for balancing.

Great model and sounds. Furthermore, is it possible to make a spawner variant of this? That would be phenomenal!
small chinchilla 25 Jul, 2018 @ 9:20am
I haven't used the mod yet but im assuming theres no canister or grape shots, can you add them if so?
Kuro 25 Jul, 2018 @ 2:36am
Hey, could you possibly work on some of the rifled muskets of the era? The musket mod we do have is not only a smoothbore (and therefore less accurate than civil war rifles to begin with) but also an unrealistic one, being able to miss targets 10-20m away (in the right hands a smoothbore musket could consistantly hit man sized targets up to 50m).

Rifled muskets would have significantly better accuracy but also retain the slow rate of fire of the muskets before.

I understand if this is perhaps out of your comfort zone but it's something to think about.

@Anthony199521 cannonballs are massive in real life, and they are quite slower than modern bullets
i'ts not modern artillery, this was from an era where cars were almost only a dream, so things were a bit slower at that time (in a lot of ways, such as troop movement)
Anthony199521 24 Jul, 2018 @ 10:51pm
well I do like the weapon as it is well made mind if I give some suggestions? could you make the cannonball smaller? it is jaring to see such a large lob of iron fly out of the barrel. and another suggestion, making the cannonball faster as it seems very slow for an artillery weapon. thanks and still an awesome weapon!
