nice!!

That sounds like the expected solution yeah ^^ Will add your map to the list and maybe play it someday...
Mitch McWiggins 5 Feb, 2014 @ 8:56pm
Very clever, took me at least 10 or 15 min. Walking through the open fizzler with the aimed laser cube, right? Good one, thanks. Here's my latest if you get a chance: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=223838777

Death Defying Adventure right ? I added it to the list ^^

Excellent logic problem as always. Nice clean looking map. I like lasers and had little trouble figuring out what was needed. Thank you.
I would value your comments on my latest if you find time.
Geneosis  [author] 17 Oct, 2013 @ 7:44am
@chrishrly : Added your map to the list ^^ No idea when I will play it anyway...

Nice test, the second part took way longer than it should've I was just thinking too complicated.
If you have the time would you check out my latest test

thankyou.
as I said, you can delete my comment, with the spoiler screenshot, if you want.
Geneosis  [author] 10 Aug, 2013 @ 7:17am
Yep, this is the idea for the second part of the puzzle ^^

ps.
I presume this was the intended solution:

fair enough.
but pushing the exit 1 tile out, could leave your room in tact.
but your map your choice, off course.
Geneosis  [author] 9 Aug, 2013 @ 1:31am
No I mean it will change the shape of the room, that's the problem ;)
mood3rd 8 Aug, 2013 @ 3:23pm
Geneosis
laser fields ugly ?
a fizzler would also do the trick.
Geneosis  [author] 8 Aug, 2013 @ 9:07am
Hmmm yeah, but this would be ugly X)
mood3rd 7 Aug, 2013 @ 2:24pm
Geneosis
I think all you have to do,
is connect the 2 receptors to a laser field, blocking the exit.
this should stop unauthorized exiting.
your choice of course.
you could even push the door back, to place the laser field in front of it.
without it being in your main chambers.
Geneosis  [author] 6 Aug, 2013 @ 3:26pm
Oh, I got it, so yeah that's a big exploit and a bug for sure X) Don't think I will try to fix it anyway as it's a game glitch and it may mess up the whole puzzle to fix that properly ^^"
mood3rd 6 Aug, 2013 @ 2:17pm
Geneosis
not at the same time.
while standing against the door, with just 1 receptor activated.
you move the portal, directing the 1 laser from 1 receptor,
to the 2nd receptor.
they never have a laser going into both at the same time.
but as the laser moves from 1 to the other instantaneously.
the door opens.
major bug.
try it & see for yourself
if you can't do it.
I will do a video, to explain fully
Geneosis  [author] 6 Aug, 2013 @ 11:42am
But to open the door the first time you need to activate both receptors right? So nevermind if you disable one of them after that.
mood3rd 6 Aug, 2013 @ 8:28am
Geneosis
yes if you move away it will close.
but if you stay there, it will stay open.
with reguards to this map.
it is a major bug.
perhaps the laser catcher & relay should also be connected to a laser field.
that blocks the exit ?
Geneosis  [author] 5 Aug, 2013 @ 2:51pm
Well but if you move out of the exit it will close right? So this is probably just a "player detector" that prevent it from closing on the player imo.

I found a bug:
I had the laser going into the laser catcher, that connects to the exit.
stood against the exit.
then moved the laser from the laser catcher,
to the relay that connects to the exit.
the door opened & I left.
I repeated it, so not a fluke.
Geneosis  [author] 9 Jul, 2013 @ 5:42am
Hint : No one sait you need both lasers to open the exit .
? 9 Jul, 2013 @ 4:48am
and this is a tough dillema now. i have to figure out where to move the cube because i can't think of it a way to move it inside the cage. and if i activate a portal, then i lose a laser.
Geneosis  [author] 9 Jul, 2013 @ 2:03am
Yep, at this point you're almost done ^^ Now you should think about a way to open the exit ;)
? 8 Jul, 2013 @ 10:05pm
hey, i think i solved half lol

am i on to something?

sure, glass works. lol you are so O C D on making your puzzles perfect looking like i am. haha.
Geneosis  [author] 7 Jul, 2013 @ 12:14pm
... A glass covering this square maybe?
? 7 Jul, 2013 @ 7:46am
Geneosis, if the angled panel is not used in the solution, you need to remove it. Anything in a puzzle that is abnormal (like an angeled panel) people will try to pursue. It will only introduce confusion to new and old players alike if you keep it. I know the puzzle LOOKS better with the angled panel but in the end you need to remove it to make it function better.
Geneosis  [author] 7 Jul, 2013 @ 2:28am
Map updated! I fixed the 2 unexpected solutions you foud quys ^^ Please try again ant tell me if you find some new unintended way to complete it ;)
Geneosis  [author] 7 Jul, 2013 @ 1:59am
@Prototype : I watched your solution and yeah it's a pretty cool solution, but yet not intended X) Will see if I can fix it...
Geneosis  [author] 7 Jul, 2013 @ 1:52am
Oh, well in fact I used an angled pannel to avoid breaking the symmetry of colors in the map X) But yeah this surface should not be used in the solution...
? 6 Jul, 2013 @ 11:37pm
I've been trying out this puzzle for a half hour and I'm a bit frustrated. I've viewed the other solutions yet you say the cube must be taken to the other side of the fizzler . But doing so would destroy the 2nd laser and bring back the fizzler. The angled panel was angled to prevent the player from directly portaling the laser to the receptor. But I hope the panel is somehow required for the puzzle, otherwise, it would be less confusing to just put a black surface there instead.
StayTainted™ 4 Jul, 2013 @ 3:46pm
haha nice map :p
Prototype 1 Jul, 2013 @ 7:29pm
Geneosis  [author] 1 Jul, 2013 @ 11:58am
Well one of the main idea of this puzzle was to force you to take the cube to the other side of the fizzler... But I obviously failed to make it evident and not bypassable ^^"
Prototype 1 Jul, 2013 @ 1:08am
Nice simple map (easy difficulty), although I didn't need the second laser (never worked out what it was for). You could possibly simplify the level by removing it and the connected laser reciever. Here's a screenshot of my solution: link (bit hard to get it all in one screenshot, but that laser over my head is hitting the exit reciever)

Can you take a screenshot screenshot your solution? Or describe it with spoiler code?

The solution I used was quite easy. Not sure if the solution I used was legit, though.

Well thanks, if both sollutions are related then it is not an issue. Thats Portal 2. Think with portals.. :)
Geneosis  [author] 19 May, 2013 @ 2:38am
Well this is an unexpected solution, but it almost include the exact same trick you have to use to open the exit with the expected one so I will probably not try to fix it ;)

Thanks for playing ^^

@Pluisje : I'm curious to know how you managed to reach the other side of the fizzler to be able to place portals like that...

Bisqwit 15 May, 2013 @ 2:31pm
Nice! Here's my blind playthrough demo of the map. In retrospect, I think you should add a tag "red herring" to your map, except that it would be a spoiler . http://bisqwit.iki.fi/kala/correlation-geneosis-blind-by-bisqwit.zip At 3:57, I thought I accidentally stumbled into a bug (the fizzler was deactivated when I was not expecting it), while I had in fact I nearly found the solution there. At about 10:00, I had already figured out the solution, but I kept goofing up a bit because I hoped to find something interesting when the laser beam intersects with the same cube multiple ties.
