In my opinion it should definitely be a primary weapon while the sticky launcher and shield share the secondary slot. Also, keep the boots and kneepads together. The stat-changes would be obviously reduced explosive damage or/and fall damage.
Sweet model, as a sticky-jumper I would totally use this
