I honestly don't mind rolling back my game to play this mod; it's THAT awesome! An update to the new release would still be great, and any new feutures welcome, but I'm really having enough fun already, if you don't have the time. Thanks!
Booyadee 10 Apr, 2022 @ 4:15pm
does this mod work for the current version of the game as of april tenth?
Markov219 25 Mar, 2022 @ 6:37pm
"Blankets the galaxy in primitives"... not an understatement. i love cleansing my galaxies of alien life but cranked max honestly i i i think i may have burned out my will to exterminate. it was like planetary whack a mole. also fps dropped to 0.5... but the absolute chaos that was unfolding was absolutely worth it. thank you.

p.s. put a warning label on this fps murderer lol

I have updated the mod at the following location: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2114288421
BingBadaCOOM 27 May, 2020 @ 10:47am
Does this effect performance? As in do primitive pops cause more lag?
TheHorrorlord 25 May, 2020 @ 6:16pm
This is my favorite and only MUST have mod. Will it be updated?
Alt stram GRam 26 Apr, 2020 @ 12:38pm
It don't seems to work for me... When I put x5 at the begining of the game, everything is normal
Ambulatory Cortex  [author] 5 Apr, 2020 @ 12:17pm
This still works. Now to figure out how to update the version info since they changed the process...
Assinmypants 25 Mar, 2020 @ 7:52pm
Still works for me :D
Francisco 23 Mar, 2020 @ 6:55am
Will it be updated to 2.6?
ZacharyBuilder 20 Mar, 2020 @ 3:08pm

VindictaUK 16 Mar, 2020 @ 5:46pm

Ambulatory Cortex// Thank you.
Ambulatory Cortex  [author] 14 Nov, 2019 @ 3:48am
Coocoodas, it changes the value of usage_odds in special_init_02 in special_system_initializers.txt from 1.5 to 20. So a bit over 13 times more than vanilla.
Coocoodas 13 Nov, 2019 @ 9:04pm
Could I know the exact formula? Is it 20x to vanilla? Since 1x in vanilla is 3%, does it mean it's 1x is 60%? I'3m asking because I had it at x5 which is supposely 300% but I found some planet empty.

I kinda wish it were 100% at x5 so I could scale down to the number I want from there, .25 being 5%.
Ambulatory Cortex  [author] 2 Nov, 2019 @ 4:14am
Shouldn't be. Let me know.
Bias Galtar 30 Oct, 2019 @ 10:31am
Does this mod change anything that would make it incompatible with the current version?
Ambulatory Cortex  [author] 6 Oct, 2019 @ 12:44pm
I do not know how the game chooses what sites get digs, so I couldn't tell you.
Gryphon 4 Oct, 2019 @ 7:55pm
Does this mod mean there's less archeological dig sites?
thedreadpirateroberts 31 Aug, 2019 @ 10:16pm
Just so you know: using the mature_galaxy command with this mod active causes the game to crash. Otherwise, solid mod.
키으기 10 Aug, 2019 @ 4:25am
Thank you. I'll use it well
edey5000 26 Jul, 2019 @ 5:23am
many thanks

Ambulatory Cortex: they are spawned by a anomalies/special events I believe.

it would just be a matter of tweaking the spawn rate of these to make them appear more often :)
Ambulatory Cortex  [author] 8 Jun, 2019 @ 4:13pm
Probably not from me. I really don't care about pre-sentients and they appear to be spawned by an entirely different system.
AprilsRealm 8 Jun, 2019 @ 11:13am
Any chance of a pre-sentients version of this mod?

Pre-sentients++ hasn't been updated for ages...
Kushim 7 Jun, 2019 @ 5:04am
i love this
enclaveofficer0 18 May, 2019 @ 7:03pm
best mod
Ambulatory Cortex  [author] 12 May, 2019 @ 11:28am
Ro-Z, I felt the same way when making it. Glad you like it!
Ro-Z 12 May, 2019 @ 10:51am
This is really nice. I was super dissapointed by '5x primitives' in vanilla. Installing your mod and there is atleast 20 primitive civs between me and the nearest entity in a 500 star system with 1 other ai empire and only trade caravans. We each spawned in different corners and there are hundreds of primitives in the galexy but little to no space faring civs, exactly as i wanted to play. Thanks for making the experience i wanted possible
peruecke 25 Apr, 2019 @ 3:00am
If you wanna go a bit more crazy about primitives, why not make them advance faster? Check out this here mod "Primitive Einsteins":

Pancakelord 1 Apr, 2019 @ 7:33am
in case anyone is wondering, this is working fine in 2.2.6 for me
Hidden Dark 16 Mar, 2019 @ 9:39am
Nevermind, a mod that dealt with Galaxy generation conflicted with it.
Shadowguardian91 16 Mar, 2019 @ 9:37am
i was curious if was working casue tlord tachanka said its not working .. but i wanna try
it
Ambulatory Cortex  [author] 16 Mar, 2019 @ 5:12am
It appears to be working fine to me. Loaded up a game in the current 2.2.5 version with the slider set to 5x and it spawned in many, many primitives in different stages of development. What problems are you having?
Shadowguardian91 15 Mar, 2019 @ 7:32pm
does it still work
Hidden Dark 11 Mar, 2019 @ 11:57am
Doesn't appear to work.
Bias Galtar 13 Dec, 2018 @ 5:40pm
I love you.
Ambulatory Cortex  [author] 13 Dec, 2018 @ 5:01pm
I don't know if it's possible or not. All this mod does is change the value of usage_odds in special_init_02 in special_system_initializers.txt from 1.5 to 20. The actual generation of the primitive civilization appears to be elsewhere.
Roger 12 Dec, 2018 @ 10:18pm
I would like to know as well on what john posted if it's possible to add a option for us to type in the custom species.
johnthepatriot 9 Dec, 2018 @ 8:40pm
Is there any way to make the game generate primitives with modded species, like from a SW or ST species pack?
Ambulatory Cortex  [author] 9 Dec, 2018 @ 3:30pm
Kevdog, I think I've fixed it, but I suspect that you'll need to re-generate.
ReđÐeαтħ 9 Dec, 2018 @ 3:23pm
Awesome, thank you!
Kevdog150 9 Dec, 2018 @ 3:14pm
Hey, really enjoyed this mod from 2.0

Just thought I would mention that primitives seem to act as starter colonies now for whatever reason, in that they consist of 1-3 pops and a reassembled ship shelter regardless of what tech level they are at.

Not sure if this has been fixed or not, since the last time I played was yesterday.

Anywho, please keep up the good work and I appreciate your effort!
Ambulatory Cortex  [author] 9 Dec, 2018 @ 1:11pm
Looks like they made some changes to primitive generation. I think I fixed it; the primitives have reasonable population levels now.
Ambulatory Cortex  [author] 9 Dec, 2018 @ 12:54pm
I'll check it out.
iljohn 9 Dec, 2018 @ 12:49pm
yea it seems theres a bug all the primitives are only 1 pop. and they no longer give society output.
ReđÐeαтħ 9 Dec, 2018 @ 11:00am
It seems that primitives are in very low numbers - maybe I was unlucky but it is suspicious. Several planets had one pop only.
Ambulatory Cortex  [author] 9 Dec, 2018 @ 5:09am
Wes, it appears to work fine when I loaded it up. I'll update the versioning soon.
