Cool, thanks Bob. I've noticed when TS updates to the next yearly version sometimes things get lost. I've had way points I made disappear on older scenarios, strange. Let me know of any issues. I

Hmm, very odd. I’ve never even used simple controls at all in 11 years of using TS. I’ve subscribed to many of your workshop scenarios (and others authors’ as well) and never had any issues. When it changes it to simple I have to physically change it back to expert in Settings. I’ll work through it. May try a file verification. I do enjoy your scenarios. Love the different series that you create. Keep up the good work.

No, I never choose any setting changes except starting a scenario with a in-cab view. nothing to do with controls.

I just started working on the Springfield Line Series and downloaded the first two scenarios. When I launch this first scenario, the controls get switched from Expert to Simple. Was the scenario set up with simple controls?
RBJets  [author] 12 Feb, 2024 @ 7:07pm
Yes, download/subscribe to each of them one or two at a time. They might even play better that way.

Hello my friend i finally enjoyed the shunting as i always do . But it looked like i was going to have to uninstall rail works as i subscribed to all the Springfield scenarios immediately got the dreaded fatal error out of memory after a lot of deleting routes and storing them elswhere i finally got back onto workshop unsubscribed all and download this and part 2 so will have to do this series the hard way my fault probably got to much in steam
RBJets  [author] 25 Aug, 2021 @ 11:04am
LOL, its all good, thanks for playing. :)
mindenjohn 25 Aug, 2021 @ 4:00am
Great scenario, thoroughly enjoyed it. Dropped the hoppers too early and had to go back for them, serves me right!
RBJets  [author] 7 Aug, 2021 @ 5:01am
Very welcome, thanks,. :)
Erdaepflschaeler 7 Aug, 2021 @ 2:51am
Thank´s a lot for this wonderful scenario!
RBJets  [author] 12 Jan, 2021 @ 1:59pm
Yes, the hands on clicking also seems to only work on switches at the beginning of a scenario then stops further in. Then you have to use the map screen to switch.
tompallen 12 Jan, 2021 @ 1:01pm
Not your fault in any way -- TS peculiarity!
RBJets  [author] 12 Jan, 2021 @ 12:34pm
Thanks Tom. Sorry ur having issues.
tompallen 12 Jan, 2021 @ 7:39am
I think I've identified the problem -- after the same thing happened with your 2nd Springfield Yard Work scenario. I'm in the habit of using "hands-on" coupling: i.e., clicking directly on couplers instead of using the "coupling" tool. Evidently, coupling in this way doesn't register with whatever gizmo manages scoring in a scenario. Another peculiar TS quirk that I'll just have to either live with or change my playing style. Thanks again for these great scenarios.

Thanks Tom, hmmm, wonder why...
tompallen 8 Jan, 2021 @ 3:06pm
Don't know why I didn't get credit for completing this, but I sure enjoyed driving it. Great use of AI traffic!
RBJets  [author] 3 Aug, 2020 @ 2:39pm
I'm not sure I placed any in this series. :)
mwilliams 3 Aug, 2020 @ 1:42pm
All good. That's a big yard! Cows not allowed in Springfield it seems
RBJets  [author] 3 Mar, 2019 @ 9:29am
Tested scenario again, had no issues. clear out cache from the TOOLS menu or just try a re-start.
gordini 26 Feb, 2019 @ 11:24pm
Please, check it Thanks
RBJets  [author] 3 Feb, 2019 @ 6:02am
I'll check it, its been awhile since I played it.
gordini 2 Feb, 2019 @ 11:25pm
Idem : could not get to the first coupling after teh refual. The red won't let me go far enough to switch tracks. Never changes from red. If I go ahead too far I get a SPAD. Just stuck
RBJets  [author] 29 Nov, 2018 @ 12:13pm
Yes I have had the same issue on many routes, just a re-boot does the trick most of the time, thanks Rammy.
Rammy 29 Nov, 2018 @ 11:17am
Nice Start had one Issue on first Drop train just Ghosted over the Wagons i was supposed to Couple to, pulled forward to Clear Wagons then saved. then Coupled okay rest ran fine. Thanks.

Thanks so much Roland, I usually do that but I try not to do so much explaining but I'll put that in more. Enjoy and let me know any other ideas that would make it better for u. Always interested.
RolandBP 25 Oct, 2018 @ 4:13am
Hi RB, this is the first time I have played one of your scenarios, but that is because I don't often start my Win7 PC, which is the one that has my US routes on it.
A friend of mine plays a lot of your scenarios and he talked me into playing this one.
It is very interestingly written.
I did have one instance where I felt you could have said "Be prepared to set the points to the next destination." or something like that?
Thanks for an interesting shunting around this excellent route in a yard I had never been to previously. I will continue with your series on this route. :steamhappy:
RBJets  [author] 24 Oct, 2018 @ 3:34pm
Next scenario will be back heading over the pass...
henele54 24 Oct, 2018 @ 3:30pm
I had to reinstall the Alaska Route and now it finally works. I'm waiting for the next big Steam sale to get Raton Pass.
RBJets  [author] 24 Oct, 2018 @ 2:56pm
Love this route. :)
darryl.wightman 24 Oct, 2018 @ 2:46pm
Alrighty then..another one on sale this week.
henele54 23 Sep, 2018 @ 7:56pm
I will not get that one afterall. I like the longer routes better.
RBJets  [author] 23 Sep, 2018 @ 7:17pm
Its kinda short but the climb up and over the pass is a challenge. There is a yard at each end but thats about it. I like it.
henele54 23 Sep, 2018 @ 6:52pm
RB is the Raton Pass any good? I bought the Alaska Railroad one the last big sale and it alway crashes. I want to make sure it's good before buying it.
RBJets  [author] 23 Sep, 2018 @ 5:09pm
I will soon, I dont because when I do then some people cant play it because of licensing...etc. If I just use the stock with the route it makes it easy on everyone unless a route has no frieght included with it. I was looking today to add a Burlington loco to a Yard Work scenario on the Raton Pass series. So I just might make a scenario with it and one without it and upload both. But thanks very much [ZCM]. :)
ww32[ZCM] 23 Sep, 2018 @ 2:33pm
Fantastic as always, I know why you don't do it, but it would be neat if you started to mix in rollingstock from other rroads in these scenario
RBJets  [author] 23 Aug, 2018 @ 3:39am
Thanks henele54. :)
henele54 23 Aug, 2018 @ 12:42am
That was fun.
RBJets  [author] 11 Aug, 2018 @ 8:33pm
Thanks soooo much spongebee, i will get part 2 out soon, but like most of the stuff I love doing I wanna take my time and not rush just to get it uploaded. Happy railfanning to all. :)
spongebee 11 Aug, 2018 @ 5:57pm
Yet another fantastic scenario!! I agree with thijslagendijk, your scenarios are the BEST!! Dispatch orders and AI traffic make for a realistic work shift. I too love this route and look forward to part 2!! Thanks for sharing your work!
RBJets  [author] 8 Aug, 2018 @ 1:06pm
Me? No way, thank you but there are many better. :)
Thijzemans 8 Aug, 2018 @ 10:06am
U ARE BEST
RBJets  [author] 7 Aug, 2018 @ 12:59pm
Thanks DragonGhost. :)
DragonGhost 7 Aug, 2018 @ 10:33am
it runs very good:steamhappy:
RBJets  [author] 7 Aug, 2018 @ 3:41am
Thanks Not.Silent. It's been a real toot. :)
Not.Silent 7 Aug, 2018 @ 12:22am
Congratulations on reaching 300 scenarios RBJets. Well done.
RBJets  [author] 5 Aug, 2018 @ 7:08pm
Thanks Warren, lots of yard work to do on this route. should be fun. :)
wadawes 5 Aug, 2018 @ 6:57pm
Thanks RB, very good run.
I've been away from TS for a bit, but when I saw that you have started a series with the Springfield Route (one of my favourites) I couldn't resist.
Looking forward to more in this series.
Cheers, Warren
