This must be quite out of date. There are a lot of cars not renamed. Also, the one you are calling an Oldsmobile Cutlass is actually a Buick Regal (tail lamps are the clue).

Unfortunately the files for anything other then cars included in the base game are locked away, I doubt we'll ever be able to change them!

are you gonna add in some DLC car names? like the Wingman & Buggy.

Thanks for the heads up, I've tried to replicate what you've had go down with the save , but with no luck, my saves all work with the mod removed, so unfortunately until I can the bug to appear there is little I can do mate

Yeah mate it could be a few different cars, they've clearly taken cues from multiple real cars to make some of the ones in game, it's very easy to change the names in this mod and make it as people please, as you've probs seen it's a damned if you do, and damned if you don't with naming the Rammer :-B

Honestly, I always thought the Rammer looked like an '80s Ford Crown Vic Ltd., but that could just be me. I mean the BIg Three's sedans back then looked so much like each other, it could have been grounds for infringement if any of them had wanted to be nasty lol

Ok, I don't know if it's just me, but your mod nearly caused my save files to be deleted. For another reason, I disabled ALL mods for the game, and the game would crash after the splash screen, all online forums said it was likely the save file had gone bad and needed deleting (i.e starting from scratch),I moved it elsewhere and the game would launch, but with everything wiped. I opened the save file "career" which is located the userdata in steam install folder, with notepad, and noticed that the car names that I owned where the real life names, it didn't say Tristar it said Nissan Skyline, and I guess the game couldn't find the cars and It just crashed. I went with the clean file inside the game, enabled your mod only, moved my original save file in, and it started working again. You should test it on your own machine, and if it indeed crashes, you should warn people and work on a fix. Still, great mnod :)

I think there's a good enough split for a Caprice Patch, I'll get one sorted and uploaded soon.

Rammer is Chevrolet Caprice.

the rammer actually looks like a oldsmobile delta 88 as it has 4 doors...i believe the cutlass only had 2 doors in real life

For what it's worth, thank you for this mod! There were so many cars that my friends & I thought "Hell, I recognise that so clearly, but I can't put a name to it". Nice finds!

Unfortunately, we all had to uninstall it shortly afterwards, since we're fairly new to the game and this seems to break the "Car rental" feature in Multiplayer (Indeed, the only car that was still rent-able was the non-renamed Double Decker, no other cars appeared in the list).

What year Camaro would you suggest Speedbird is? Check out the 1987 Crown Vic Station Wagon, many similarities.

I'm pretty sure a lot of these are wrong. There's no way the minivan is a Crown Vic, and I'm pretty sure the Speedbird is a type of Camaro.

@Discy, If you are using any other mods, try setting and loading this mod at the very bottom of your list, there could be a conflict going on somewhere.

For the front and sides it's a close call for a Caprice, but the rear-end has 0% relation, check out the 1986 Cutlass Supreme Sedan, it ticks the most boxes (only just) especially for the back-end but with an extra break light, it looks like most USA cars take from a few different models to be fair, if the back-end of an 80's Caprice had a slant, it would have been a very close choice, Llama was also in with another valid choice, a LTD Crown Vic.

The Rammer/Rammar RS is a Chevy Caprice not a OldsMobile Cutlass ST

i still see a plymouth cuda looking at the chassis. the way it fattens up at the rear and the tailgate.

DLC-car Bandit is actually real name a Dodge Challenger.

Rammer RS has some Ford LTD Crown vic in it too :)

Morrison, unless someone who is a master of formats comes along, we wont be getting to mess with the Bandit unless Bugbear wants us to, and as it's an exclusive bakers/deluxe car, Bug-B have it locked away. But maybe Bug-B will see the light and let us play with setup files in BegEdit, so Bandit remains relevant to use with mods and such, if this ever happens, I'll update instantly.

I'm gonna suggest opening setup files to Bug-B.

Bandit looks like a Dodge Challenger - smoother C-pillar and a crease along the side of the body are the key features that differentiate it from the 'Cuda.

pretty sure the bandit is a plymouth cuda, could probs do with someone who knows what they are doing who also has the backer car. im guessing thats why it dont change the bandits name.

Ah nice, hopefully in time someone will bust that sucker open, so we can mess with the thing!
